Brightening Enzyme Mask
What you'll need:
-7 Blueberries
-3 Cherry Tomato
-1 Sprig of Parsley
-1 Tablespoon of Honey
-2 Drops of Lemon Essential Oil OR 1/8 Teaspoon of Lemon Juice
**You can use either fresh or frozen. There was a study some time ago claiming that frozen fruits/vegetables are much healthier than fresh fruits/vegetables. Reason being fruits/vegetables are harvested when ripe then freeze right away, all of the nutrients are there and locked away until you consume them. On the other hand, fresh fruits/vegetables are picked earlier so they can be transported to the markets and sprayed with chemicals to keep them looking fresh for the next weeks. So it is really up to you.

Why is this called a "brightening masque"? Well first off, blueberries are high in antioxidants and arbutin. Antioxidants delay the aging process by firming your skin to minimize fine lines. Arbutin are mostly used as a skin lightening agent. Like many other red and pink skin fruits, cherry tomatoes has a carotenoid antioxidant called lycopene present. Not only does lycopene helps combat signs of aging, it also helps reduce skin inflammation. Think of it as a sunscreen you can eat. Parsley also brightens your skin while lemon tones the skin, rich in vitamin C and is full of antioxidants. Lastly, honey moisturizes and nourishes our skin.
What a refreshing way to end the weekend and prepare for the upcoming week. Let's do this!
Thanks for reading guys. Have an awesome day! :)
