BH Cosmetics Haul

Ello, ello everyone! I hope you're having a splendid Saturday. Arizona is giving us a beautiful, warm day. Maybe a little too warm, it's starting to feel more like Summer.

My order from BH Cosmetics came in on Monday; I originally only wanted to buy their Floral Blush Duos, but some other items were appealing so I decided to pick up a few others. There was also a sale going on at the time so I saved quite a bit. I ordered a few eye products, some lip items and some interesting brow pencils. Overall, BH Cosmetics has some awesome quality products so i hope I won't be let down with my order. Let's check out what was in my order.

I saw these blushes on their site when they first came out but I was contemplating whether I should get them or not. Days passed and I kinda forgot about them until recent when I was on Youtube and a couple of the Beauty gurus featured them in their monthly faves and kinda raved about how great they were. So I hopped on over to the site again and hey, they were having a sale. Could not choose which shades to not get so I got them all. It was a good deal...

I usually don't like duos like this because I always have bad experience with them. Within the duo, one will be a hit while the other a total miss. I just don't think it's worth it. However, I took a gamble with these and I hit the jackpot! Of the five duos, every single shade is a hit, whether it's the blush, highlight or bronzer. They're so true to their color, what you see is what you get. I love it! It's not like I don't already have enough, but these blushes are perfect for Spring. I haven't used any of the duos yet, but my instant favorites are Lilac and Daisy. We shall see if they remain as favorites.

I have a thing for jumbo eye pencils, or in this case, "crayons". They're just so low maintenance, travel friendly, easy to use, it's everything a make up fanatic, eyeshadow hoarder like myself, absolutely love. I love the ones NYX has out, super creamy, pigmented, affordable, large variety range. Although BH does not have as big of a selection choice, they do have 11 shades to choose from; which is moderate in my opinion. These 11 shades look so creamy, I swatched a few of them at random and they do feel as they look. I'm not so sure if it's on NYX's level though. But again, I haven't worn them on my lids, now that is the ultimate test.

These crayons are all shimmery, almost half of them are metallic. It's a good size pencil but the only down side is that these aren't twistable...Booooo. I'll have to sharpen them once they get dull, thank goodness I have a good sharpener.  Unlike NYX...and other brands, their jumbo pencils come in clear caps, these have black caps so there is no way to tell what shade it is by just the name. So at the end of the pencils, they have a plastic piece with the shade color accordingly. Actually, I just realized that all of their pencil-type products have that shade preview at the end. It matches pretty well with the actual product shade.

If you're a regular on my blog, you probably already know that I love a good winged liner, either in liquid, gel or pencil form. I know that a lot of brand have already came out with this gel liner pencil but to my surprise, I don't own such product. I thought this was the opportunity to give these a try. I really like this whole concept of a gel in pencil form. That should make life so much easier. I can take these to travel without needing to worry about my gel liner pot break or bring a brush to apply. I swatched one pencil out of the bunch, it glided on with ease. Very pigmented as well.

And guess what? It's waterproof. Yep. I will wear these and spend all day swimming , then I'll decided if it's waterproof or not. If it truly is, I can finally look fabulous at the pool.

Glitter Collection in Baby Pink

I don't own any loose glitter like this so I think this is merely for experimenting. With the price that I got it for, it was nearly a steal. But can we please get a look at how gorgeous this is! I think this is the most girliest item I own. Pink glitter. Hahaha. :P

Although I do not use powder on my brows on a daily basis, I always like to have one on hand...just in case. The only brow powders I've used are from ELF and NYC, I wanted to see how this can compare. Who knows, I may love it so much I'll ditch my brow pencil.... Speaking of brow pencils, look at the interesting tips on these pencils. It's flat and at an angle, unlike the traditional round tip pencil. I got one in Dark Brunette and one in Black because I'm not sure which one I match, if anything, I can use both and blend it. Unlike their other pencil stiff, the brow pencils are twisties, NO SHARPENER NEEDED!

Creme Luxe Lipstick in

Whenever I try out lipsticks from a new brand, I first pick out three shades, one nude, one pink or coral and a super bold popper. Depending on the results, I will deem the lipstick worth repurchasing or not. Today isn't any different, the three shades I got are Forever Nude - a nude shade, Charmed - a rosy pink shade and Vixen - a magenta shade with blue undertones. From what I can (or can't) smell, there is absolutely no scent from these lipsticks. I used Vixen yesterday and by far, I don't have any complaint. I'll have to wear them more than once in order to dictate how the lipstick fends. The only thing I find a little uncomfortable by far is that it dried out my lips. I can't say for sure though. I'll be sure to do a post once I do know so please stay tune.

BH Cosmetics has some awesome lip liners; this I know because I used to own one. I say used to because I liked it so much I used it everyday and it ran out. I didn't repurchase the lip liner because one, I had nothing else to purchase from BH at the time and the shipping would've cause five times the liner and two, I wanted to use that opportunity to try liners from other brands. That was a while ago and I don't use lip liner as much anymore but I still do like having them handy. These liners will come handy soon, when Summer rolls around and I need to waterproof and elongate the wearing of my lip products.

Since it's been a while since I've used these lip liners, I cannot honestly tell you how well they work. The formula might have changed or what not. I'll have to use these as if I have never and have a whole new set of opinions on them. I'm crossing my fingers hoping they're still the same.
