Throwback Thursday: DIY Green Tea Scrub

green tea sugar honey

Hello all! It's Thursday again, which means the weekend is just around the corner! We're almost there guys, just a liiiiiiittle more.

It has been confirmed that my relatives visiting will indeed leave next week so that means the gathering will take place this weekend. Gatherings and family leaving will only result in one thing, pictures, there will be plenty of pictures taken.

Which is why this post came to be about again. My skin has been behaving very well, thank goodness. I have done everything in my power to help maintain my healthy skin from not wearing makeup often to eating healthier foods, cutting back from greasy, fried foods, drinking plenty of water and diligently doing facials and masks. Everything is lookin' good! Except...I woke up today will a sprouting zit on the side of my face. Albeit it is on my jawline area and cannot be seen but still. I am super annoyed! I need to get rid of it ASAP!

This scrub should help control the oil, cleanse my pores and rid dead, dull skin. The green tea will actually help even out uneven skin tone while the honey will moisturize and the honey will exfoliate.

GREEN TEA SCRUB

What you’ll need:
– 2 tablespoons brewed green tea
– 1 tablespoon sugar
– 1 tablespoon honey

What to do:
– Brew some green tea as you normally would, bag or loose leaves
– Wait until the tea is completely brewed
– Pour 2 tablespoons of tea into a bowl and let cool
– Add 1 tablespoon of sugar and mix
– Mix in the 1 tablespoon of honey
– Give the scrub a final stir

How to use it:
– Use clean fingers to scoop the scrub up and apply to the face
– Massage scrub in a circular motion
– Rub for about a minute or so
– Rinse with cold water and pat to dry

Hopefully today and tomorrow will be enough to rid this pesky zit. My skin has to be in its healthiest state possible before Saturday. Gotta look picture ready. ;)

As always guys, if you give it a try, let me know how it went for y'all.

Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading guys. Please come back soon! :)
