Hello Monday everyone! Hope y'all had a great weekend. Now are we ready to take on the week? Let's go! :P
Something rare, absolutely rare happened to Arizona today. We broke the record (within our state) of most rainfall within a day! From my room, I first heard the rain at around 1:45-ish AM, I went out to check outside at 5 and the streets out front were flooded. FLOODED! That NEVER happens in my area. By morning when I watch the early news, it had been reported that we received 5 inches of rain in just a few hours. That, is insane! Although it isn't falling at the moment, we are to expect more rain falls before the day is over. That's fine, just please... no more black outs! :|
Two weeks ago, a follower on Instagram requested I do "cookies" on my nails. Unfortunately, last week wasn't the best week of my life, and I was in no mood to do anything special. I do feel better this week and I should fulfill my promise to that follower. :)
What's cookie nails without our favorite monster that loves to feast on cookies? Cookie nails for Cookie Monster to nom nom nom on!!

Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Diamond Shine Base & Top Coat
I started off by applying a top coat to my nails to protect and strengthen my real nails. This will prevent my nails from being stained by the dark nail colors.
I started off by applying Endless Blue to my thumbs in one thick coat. This Sinful Colors Nail Color is very pigmented and applies evenly, one thick coat will be enough.
I used Nirvana on the rest of my nails, creating cookie shapes. I alternated the designs, one full nail, one half. On my index finger, I decided to create a cookie that's been bitten into. After the first coat is completely dried, I applied another layer, this time, a thin coat. Immediately after, I took a damp beauty sponge and started stippling the wet nail color. I wanted some texture to my "cookies".
After everything has been dried, I used a dotting tool to create black dots for the chocolate chips. Try to not make it to a perfect circle, because obviously chocolate chips melt to irregular shapes.
As a final step, I went back to the damp sponge, picked up some Nirvana and lightly stippled it over the chocolate chip. You don't have to make it even, just a few stipple here and there.
As for our little Cookie Monster, I used the brush of the black nail color to create his mouth. I used the biggest dotting took I own to create his eyes. After the white is dried, use a smaller dotting tool to dot his googly eyes.
For extra details, I use some other dotting tool with Nirvana on it to make cookie crumbs.
Please keep in mind that you can substitute dotting tools with you do not own them, a toothpick, bobby pins are all great substitute.
Thaaaaaank yooooou for visiting and thanks a whole lot for reading. Hope y'all enjoyed this monstrous manicure. Please come back soon! :)
