Lunar New Year: Year of the Goat

Hello my lovely, beautiful readers! It is now day 2 of the Lunar New Year. I would like to wish you all a happy new year with much prosperity, health, joy and may luck and good fortune be on your side this year of the goat/sheep/ram. :D Wow, that was a mouthful to say. LOL.
Today's entry is very different to my normal entries, as today's post has nothing to do with beauty or Korean related. Haha. I just wanted to kinda touch base on this celebration and tell y'all a little bit about my culture.
So as y'all may have heard, one way or another, it is Chinese New Year, or what I'd prefer to call, Lunar New Year because a lot of other nations also celebrate this new year, not just the Chinese. For instance, for the Vietnamese, we call it Tết. As for why it is called the Lunar New Year, it's pretty self explanatory because we base our calender off of the moon rather than the sun. This is why the Lunar New Year is not on the same date each year, it ranges anywhere from late January to mid-February; this year, it just happens to fall on the 19th of February.
This year, we are in the year of the sheep/goat/ram, ya know, that animal of that sort, leaving behind the horse in 2014. I'm sure this isn't news to many, but there are 12 zodiacs, represented by animals, which in turn, represent each year. For example, 2013 was the Year of the Snake, 2014 was the Year of the Horse, 2015 is the Year of the Goat and 2016 will be the Year of the Monkey.
