Today's Make Up: Pinkie Pie Inspired Makeup

Something fantastically wonderful happened last night guys! Arizona received rainfall all night, large amounts. The stormed rolled in at around 8-ish and didn't end until early this morning. From the looks of it, we'll probably receive more rain later today; same type of weather like yesterday, overcast with dark clouds. Let it rain, let it rain!

But anyways, get together is still a go for today. Lots of preparations still, so I'll make this quick.

Today's makeup is inspired by Pinkie Pie... Yes, My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Pinkie Pie. I'm not gonna lie, I LOVE that show. No shame. Although I do not have a particular favorite in the show, I especially love Pinkie Pie's character. She's always so happy and bouncy.

I know it might be a tad weird to be inspired by a fictional cartoon character when it's not even Halloween yet, but I'm inspired by her color combo. Her two shades of pink and her two Cutie Mark balloons color of yellow and blue.

Yellow, blue and pink will be my inspired eye look for today. Another bright eye day to color yet another gloomy, colorless day. :)

After I used my dr. brandt Microdermabrasion to get rid of dead, dull skin, I applied a nice, hydrating moisturizer. I applied the BB Cream with a damp sponge; the goal isn't to have full coverage here, I just want to even out my skin tone. This BB Cream with the dampness of the sponge basically gave me a thin veil over my skin. I set the BB Cream with a light weight pressed powder and continued with my face as I always would, contour with bronzer, highlight and applied blush on the apples of my cheeks. Sweet Retreat is that blush that's subtle, border-line, not there, but because my eyes will already be bright, I do not want my cheeks to be a bright pink either. Something subtle and glowing like this will do.

I prepped my eyes by priming it with Urban Decay Primer Potion; this primer is my go-to whenever I know I'll have my makeup on for a long while. With a detail brush, I took "browbone" from Your 15 Minutes Aren't Up, to the inner corners of my eyes, pulling it down to my lower lash line, a third way out. With a flat eyeshadow brush, I applied that same shade on one third of my lids. I flip the brush over and took "eyelid" from A Regular At The Factory to the rest of my lids. With a pencil brush, I pick up that shade again and concentrate it on my crease and outer corner. I also took this down to my lower lash line, connecting it to the outer corner I had in progress. I didn't take this too far out because after I cleaned off the pink shadow, I took "eyelid" from To Muse And Carouse and applied that on my lower lash line. Carefully blending it to the pink and yellow shade, but keep packing it on so it shows up bright and intense. Next, I thinly line my eyes and winging it. I used my Tear Liner on the inner corners of my lower lash line, just a tad to bring a little sparkle to my eyes, plus, it looks more innocent that way. Pinkie Pie has really big lashes, I will not use false lashes, but I will curl my lashes and apply two generous coats of mascara to my upper and lower lashes to mimic those gorgeous eyes.

As for my lips, I applied a couple coats of Posietint and topped it off with a Butter Gloss. The two shades used together gives me a toned-down pink shade that still gives me color but doesn't steal the attention from my eyes.

I'll have my makeup on for a good while, so to give my skin an extra OOMPH of hydration, I lightly misted my face with Avene Thermal Spring Water before I left the house.

And that is all guys. Hope ya'll enjoyed this bright post. Do we have any MLP fans here???

As always, thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. Come back soon everyone! :)
