Sunday Mask: DIY Avocado, Honey Mask

avocado apple cider vinegar
Hello all! Another Sunday has come upon us... Yay?? Haha. :P No, really though, who is ready for the upcoming week? Last week of February, today next week will be March 1st. Man...
Anyways, here is another mask recipe to pamper the face. The lack of sleep, the stress, the busy schedule all last week has not been kind to my skin. I can tell my skin is angry with me. I have never seen this many pimples appear on my face at once. Need to apologize, must apologize.
Remember that we had only used half of the avocado yesterday for the hair mask? Well pull that avocado out, or cut up another half and let's get our mask on! :D
AVOCADO, HONEY MASK
What You'll Need:
- 1/2 Ripe Avocado
- 1 Tablespoon Honey

Saturday Hair Care: Avocado Hair Mask

Avocado Banana
Hello Saturday all! :) We are now on day 3 of the Lunar New Year, technically the last also, even though the "new year" goes on for another 7 days. It has been one heck of a busy three days, but finally today, I can let out a sigh of relief. A whole 'nother year until all these crazies will happen again.
I have some time on my hand earlier before I had to get ready for the fam gathering tonight. I have been neglecting everything about me, from my hair to my skin. Neither of which are happy with me might I add. I'll worry about my face tomorrow when I have more time, but for today, let's focus on the hair.
My hair is as natural as it gets, virgin hair as some hair enthusiast might call it. I haven an abundant head of healthy, thick, course hair. I usually don't do much to keep them shiny and healthy but not all things stay that way. I shouldn't really complain because it really isn't that bad but since it is the new years, I am supposed to wash my hair everyday for the last three days. I normally wash it every other day or every two days in the dead Winter months. With all the excessive washing, my hair has become very dry and any ounce of hydration is stripped from my hair.
Cue the DIY recipe for a hydrating hair mask made from avocado and banana, rinsed in apple cider vinegar. While the mask already will give you all the hydration needed, the apple cider vinegar will just be an extra boost.
AVOCADO HAIR MASK
What You'll Need:
- 1/2 Banana
- 1/2 Ripe Avocado
- 1 Teaspoon Olive Oil
- Apple Cider Vinegar

Sunday Mask: DIY Pumpkin Mask

pumpkin mask
Welcome back to another Sunday Mask recipe! Hope you're all enjoying your weekend well. But man... was it a chaotic weekend or what? I had makeup on for long periods of time, I hate a lot of unhealthy foods, I didn't sleep for nearly 40-something hours; everything took a toll out of my skin. I can see how unflattering my face is today. Oh nossss!!!! Last day of the weekend and I am using it to my advantage. Housework and pampering time, simultaneously. :P
This week's recipe is very seasonal. LOL. One of the ingredient is pumpkin, and we all know how fresh the pumpkins are this time of year.

DIY PUMPKIN MASK
What you'll need:
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
- 3 Tablespoons Honey
- 1 Tablespoon Pumpkin Puree
- 1 Tablespoon Ground Coffee
- 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
** OPTIONAL**
- For folks with oily skin like myself, feel free to add a Teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar to the mask.
- For people with dry skin, a Teaspoon of Yogurt should do the trick.
What to do:
- In a small bowl, start by mixing the dry ingredients: cinnamon, ground coffee and brown sugar
- Slowly, bit by bit, add the pumpkin puree to the mix
- Add the honey last to ensure our mask to be clump free
- Using a spoon if you haven't already, smash the ingredients together until everything is well blended. Make sure the dry ingredients are infused with the honey and puree.
- The end result should be a thick-ish paste that you are able to spoon up without it slipping off
How to use it:
- Apply the mask onto a clean, bare face using your clean fingers or a spoon, or a brush if that's how you like it.
- Leave on for about 15-20 minutes, or until the mask is completely tightened.
- Splash your face with warm water to soften up the mask, work your fingers in circular motions to use the coffee ground as an exfoliation.
- Rinse off the rest of the mask in warm water and splash a final splash of cold water to close up the pores.
- Pat to dry with a towel.
** This mask yields more than one servings, depending how thick or thinly you applied the mask. Tightly cover the leftover and put it in the fridge, the mask should still be good for a week.
As always, test out any new masks recipe onto the back of your hand first to see if it will give you an allergic reaction. If, for whatever reason, the mask does give you an allergic reaction, please do not hesitate and run to rinse the mask off immediately.
If you guys give this mask a go, please do share with me how it went with you. Hope y'all enjoyed this post and enjoy the rest of your day.
Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. Please do some back soon for tomorrow's manicure post. :)

Saturday Facial: DIY Apple Cider Vinegar Mask for Oily Skin

oat honey vinegar

Hi guys! How is your weekend going?

Fishing was awesome last night... not that I even fished. LOL. I was more interested with my phone and what was being sent. We didn't get in as late last night because we ran out of bait early. It was a good night for my cousins though, taking turn pulling. We got home no later than 12:30 but I stayed up to 2... messaging someone.

Anywho, with all the stress and lack of sleep I've experienced within this week... My face is just. I mean, it's not bad, but it ain't great either. A few nasty pimple here and there, but I took care of that. Now it's just oily, way too oily. I wake up with an already oily face. Eww..

Then I realized that I have not had time to do any types of facials lately, no steam facial, no scrubs, no masks, nada. Do not undermine the importance of a facial, something so little can help out drastically!

So today’s recipe is a mask to help control oily skin. It’s very simple to make because it only requires three ingredients, most of which we already have at home.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR MASK FOR OILY SKIN

What you’ll need:
– 3 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
– 2 tablespoon fine-ground oatmeal
– 1 tablespoon honey

What to do:
– In a food processor, ground some oatmeal
– In a clean bowl, add all of the ingredients
– Mix until it forms a smooth paste

How to use it:
– Apply to a clean face
– Leave on for about 30 minutes
– Go to the sink and massage the mask onto the skin in circular motions
– Rinse off with warm water
– Splash with cool water
– Pat to dry

If you give this recipe a try, please let me know how it went for you!

Take it easy and stay safe! Come back soon! :)
