Hello my lovely, pretty readers! Hope you're all having an amazing Friday. Time to just kick back and relax, screw the worries of work and school... If it's possible that is, like if you didn't have homework or work to finish. Then by all means get that done before "screwing" it. LOL.

I was fortunate to be nominated for my third Liebster Award a couple days ago. First nomination being in July and the second in August. I am excited for this third nomination because I always have a great time working on special posts like this. I'll try to make it as enjoyable as I can. :P

MY ANSWERS

1. If you could only wear one color for the rest of your life, which would you choose and why?

If I could only wear one color for the rest of my life, I will choose to wear black. I contemplated between white and black but ended up choosing black. Besides the fact that black is very slimming and flattering, it is also a color that fits with most occasions and also can be worn year round. LOL.

What color would you choose? I mean, would anyone choose like yellow or green? Lemme know! :D

2.If you were given the opportunity to enter the Big Brother House, would you?

Never! I am an introvert and very socially awkward; I will never be able to enjoy the experience and will hate every moment of it.

3. If you had to describe yourself as an animal, which animal would it be and why?

Definitely a puppy and/or dog. Not a great thing to admit but I am known to always get my ways if I give 'em "the eyes" or "the puppy eyes". Haha. But I only use that on people I am super comfortable with that I know I can get away with, like my Daddy or brother or boyfriend (if I had one).

Besides that, I am just a very loyal, faithful and dependable person. Even though I don't consider a lot of people best friends or even good friends, I will be there for them regardless even if I consider someone a friend. I will go out of my way to try and help someone. I am that reliable friend you can count on to be there for you, lend an ear, a shoulder or even tell you the truth like how it is.

4. Are you more of a leader or a follower, would you change this?

Definite leader. I've always led, never followed.

5. Do you have any phobias, if so, what are they?

I actual have several, some realistic like heights and darkness and BIRDS! While others are more intangible like disappointing the ones you love, death of loved ones, so on so forth.

One of my most abnormal phobias are of birds and feathers. I am deathly afraid of birds... more accurately, anything with feathers, a beak and creepy talons. They scare me to the point where I will break down and cry in the middle of the street. NO BIRDS ARE EVER CUTE TO ME, THEY ARE VILE, DISGUSTING CREATURES....Out to get me, I'm quite convinced.

The others, being more typical, like height and darkness.

Maybe it's just me but I am afraid of disappointing my loved ones. Even the thought of it just breaks me. Maybe it's an Asian thing, maybe it's just me, but I can almost promised that ever since I got my life back into order, I have not let anyone I love down. Let's just hope it stays that way.

This fear is actually inevitable but nonetheless a fear. I don't even want to think about it and if I do, I just go into mental breakdown mode and just start stressing. But this is life... within the last 4 months, I have bid farewell to three of my beloved. I pray, that God will spare me for the next while. My heart cannot take anymore grief.

6. Which one person inspires you the most and what about them inspires you?

My Daddy. My Daddy is my hero, my role model, my inspiration of my life; he means the world to me. He has sacrificed more than his whole life for his family with no complaints. Everything he does, he does for his family. Not only is he a great Father, he is also an amazing life teacher. He's been there every step of the way for me, I can always count on my Daddy to catch me if I fall. He inspires me to be the person that I am, not just in my daily life, but also career and romance wise.

Without the love, care, nurture, teaching, sacrifice, patience, guidance, discipline of my Father, I will not be the person I am today. Daddy will always knows best.

He inspires me to be like himself when I have my own family. A selfless, caring, dependable, faithful, whole heartedly loving wife and mother to my future husband and children.

7. Which one celebrity annoys you the most, why?

Kanye West; he just...just exudes so much arrogance, narcissism and doucheriness. I find myself voiding any articles or news story that has anything to do with him. If I accidentally come across one, I would cringe from the beginning to end.

8. What is the best compliment you have ever received?

"I am very proud of you and the person you have become. I could not ask for a better daughter. Your Mom and I couldn't be any prouder of you" - my Daddy

Just knowing that both of my parents are proud of me, my accomplishments and even able to look past my failures just means everything to me. To me, that is the best compliment I can and will ever receive.

9. Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?

I will be 35 so hopefully I am lucky enough to have my own happy family by then, a loving husband and children. I hope that my career will take off and I will actually make something of myself.

Ten years... It sounds like it'll take forever but in a blink of an eye, it'll creep up and smack you in the face. I can honestly swear to you that I can remember the day I JUST turned 16. I was so excited to finally get my license and be an "adult" and just like that, I will turn 26 this year. I miss those carefree days so much but we just have to keep moving forward.

10. Are you afraid of becoming old?

No, not in the the aspect of growing crows feet and skin pruning and wrinkly. I couldn't care less about those physical matters because it is inevitable. That is not to say I will not take care of my skin and health to try and slow down the process, but ya know, I am not afraid of it when it comes down to it.

I am however, am afraid of growing old alone. I don't want to be that crazy dog lady, I want to grow old with a husband by my side, with children and grandchildren. I want to live a full and successful life. I am afraid of growing old too soon, before I am able to achieve everything that I want.

My Answers

1. What’s one beauty product you could not live without?

Lip balm, because dried, cracked, bleeding lips is not the deal. Does that count as a beauty product? If not, my second choice would be liquid eyeliner. Liquid eyeliner can change the eye shape, look and style with just a few simple stroke. On days when I am super lazy and need to run out somewhere, liquid eyeliner is my best friend, and only takes no more than three minutes to create yet makes the biggest difference.

2. How long does it take you to apply your makeup?

When I go all out, like for special occasions, I take about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes. For simple everyday look, I take about twenty to thirty minutes; Ten, fifteen minutes for lazy makeup days. So how long I take really varies on what's going on that day.

3. When and why did you start blogging?

My first ever post went up December 12th of last year, called Winter Face Routine & Products Used. At first, I started blogging because I wanted to share with others my experience or any know-hows; sharing is caring. <3 As time progress, my blog became somewhat of my diary...well, more like a journal. It's a place where I can vent and share my inner most feelings that I don't usually share with my family and friends. I'm the type of person who doesn't share my feelings with anyone close because I feel like I'm being a burden to them. So this blog is where I vent and you guys are my listeners. Other than that, my blog is a place where I share everything I know, whether about beauty or music or Korean stuff.

Although my blog will celebrate its first birthday soon, I am not yet at 100 followers and my best views per day is only at 120 but I appreciate each and every one of you. To those who are following me, I thank you very much for being interested in anything I have to say. For those who are visitors, I thank you for dropping by and browsing. I will work harder from here on out to bring you guys more interesting topics and keeping it constant. Thank you!

4. Do you prefer using drugstore makeup or high end makeup?

Drug store all the way! I have the mentality that makeup is somewhat of a waste. Sometimes, I wear my makeup for no more than three, four hours before stripping it off. I don't want to waste hundreds on products that will not last. This is not to say that i don't splurge on makeup, because I totally do. If you're a regular on my blog, you know that I do not wear high end products on a daily basis. I only whip 'em out for special occasions. Drug store brands all day, everyday for me.

5. Do you have any pets?

Yes I do; I currently have two dogs, a desert tortoise, a koi pound in the backyard with 30+ kois and an aquarium in the house with about 10-15 various types of fish.

6. What’s one of your best memories?

I would have to say any family vacation is a "best memory" to me. I am a BIG family person and anytime I get to spend with them, having fun, I think are the best moments in life. The simplest of things in life makes me happy.

7. What’s your main aim in life?

To do my best at everything I do, whether it is at school, work, blogging, being a daughter, sister, girlfriend, wife, mom, grandma, aunt, friend, co-worker. I stride to put in 110% effort. Letting my loved ones down and giving up is not my style. 8-)

8. If you had to live off one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Dumpling. No. Ramen? No, no, make that white rice. I can eat white rice for the rest of my life. Being Asian, it has been at least one meal of mine everyday for the past 24 years. Not only can I eat it as plain rice,  but I can also make porridge and fried rice out of it. Handy.

9. Who’s your favorite blogger at the minute?

I follow many, many, maaaaaany blogs, but these three holds a special place in my heart. Them and I go waaaay back, back to before I started makeup. They're so humble, inspirational and actually are my role models I'd wish to become. I wish to meet them someday.

10. What’s your favorite step of doing your makeup?

The finishing step. LOL. If that doesn't count then it's applying blush. Maybe it's because of that smile we all do when applying blush to the apples of our cheeks, but I find it as my favorite step. Different shades for different feels.

I have however, been watching more Asian dramas than anything so... Haha.

My Answers

1. Which celebrity always has the best make up?

In my opinion, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift usually, if not always have spot on makeups. They're already beautiful women as is, but their makeup just enhances their beauty so much more. Their usual smokey eyes paired with nude and/or red lips are so sultry I just can't handle it.

Being a K-Pop and K-Drama Enthusiast, how can I not mention Korean celebrities that I am so obsess over? Haha. Choosing a person, or two  from Korea is immensely hard. Everyone over there always has perfect makeup all the time. All the girl groups idols, the actresses, the comedians, the MCs and even announcers. It is not a surprise that they bring makeup inspirations to me and I try to recreate their looks. After several headache-inducing minutes, I have narrowed down to two celebrities. I absolutely love Yoon Eun Hye's more natural, simple makeup whereas CL always dons feisty eye makeup. They're on different ends of the spectrum yet always have the best makeup on.

I honestly had a super hard time with this question... Koreans celebrities are always on par with their makeup. Not only women but also the male celebrities. They just really put much effort into their looks and I admire that very much.

2. What is your favorite movie?

Wow...I never knew I had so many favorite movies, to the point where I can't really decide and choose one. I really love Disney movies, especially the Disney Princesses. Out of the bunch though, I would have to go with Beauty and the Beast... and MAYBE Mulan too. Ever since I can remember, Belle has been my favorite princess. She is strong-willed and independent and even sacrificed herself to rescue her father. Wait... that's exactly how Mulan is too.

Besides Disney movies, I also enjoy a whole lot of other animated films, for instance, one of my ultimate favorite is the Kung Fu Panda series. This has nothing to do with the fact that I like pandas...maybe a little. :P

When it's not Disney or animation, my two other favorite films are a novel adaptation. One is Pride and Prejudice and the other The Great Gatsby. I have seen all of the adaptations for both novels and I don't have a favorite for a specific version; I enjoy each and every versions that ever came because they all have their own uniqueness.

3. What are your hopes for your blog?

I hope that my blog can continue on like it has been ever since I started it. I don't expect anything from it like fame or money. I just want my blog to do well and get around to a lot of people around the world. This is my passion and I would love to share it with people who share the same passions as I do. The more successful my blog is, the happier I am because I know that I am doing something right.

I've always been an introvert with low self esteem and near to zero self confidence. I don't like sharing my problems with my loved ones because I worry that they will worry and be sad because of me. Part of this blog is my diary. I share my issues, worries and problems on my blog and whoever reads it, reads it. For some reason, when I sit behind my computer, I am able to get let it  all go. It doesn't really matter if no one reads my innermost thought diary, it's the mere fact that I can vent myself.

I first started my blog in December and up until now, it is about seven months old. Although I still don't have many followers and not that many views daily, I am very appreciative towards those who are currently following me or those who visits my blog. I know I am lacking in many, many aspects but please bare with me. I will learn from my mistakes and come back with new improvements.

4. What is your favorite item of clothing?

Hands down, shoes. And by shoes, I also mean heels, wedges, stilettos, pumps and all those good stuff. I have an ill obsession with shoes and my closet is suffering from it. I own more shoes than I can ever wear, yet I continue to buy more. Although I have a closet full of shoes, I still have nothing to wear. Where's the logic in that? I have no idea. Haha.

5. Favorite place to shop?

6. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?

South Korea. If and when possible, I would love to travel to South Korea and discover everything it has to offer. I don't just mean visit Seoul, I also want to go to Busan, Ilsan, Jeju Island, Daegu among other places. I literally want to begin at the northern tip and work my way down. It'll probably take more than a year, but that's why it's a dream vacation for me.

Besides South Korea though, Hong Kong, China, Macau, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, Maldive are some of the many places on my "Places to Travel Before I Die" list.

7.  What is one thing that makes you feel better?

One is to cry it out in my room alone, or in the shower. Two is watch a comedy with a tub of ice cream in arm. Three is to listen to K-Pop will venting on my blog.

8. Best thing that has happened this year?

I decided to change myself, for the better.

9.  What song do you currently love?

Toooooooo many to even list. B1A4, NU'EST, Girl's Day, Henry are amongst the few who came back recently... For the sake of this question and to not bore you guys to death, I will say "Time Boils The Rain" by... Kris Wu YiFan... Sigh. The first time I heard this song, I couldn't stop myself from crying. It was so beautiful, his voice, the song, the lyrics. I miss him so much. This song has been on nonstop replay.

10. If you won the lottery what would you use the money for?

No matter how much the amount may be, I will keep 5%, give my brother 5%, give my parents 15%, use 5% to fix up my ancestral homes in Vietnam and donate the rest to orphanages throughout Asia. Some of the countries in Asia are third world, kids with families still have hard lives let alone orphans. I have been documentaries and charity videos of monks and nuns from temples in Vietnam, Burma, Thailand where they run orphanages. It's so something they planned, it became an unexpected orphanage from people leaving their child on the steps of the temples straight up abandoned the children. The temples now run on charity funds which are used to feed, clothed and educate these children. I feel like if I can, I'd like to help these orphanages with money so the kids can get a good education. Only a good education can give them new a new life.

Now this is a what if question, but regarding this matter, in the future when I am financially stable, I wish to donate to orphanages with my own money. If possible, I would like to also adopt a child from these orphanages.

11. When did you start putting on make up?

Three or four years old. Haha. I was that naughty child that always got in trouble for getting into my Mom's makeup. But really, I started using eyeshadow, and hiding it from my parents in 7th grade. I was given permission in high school and kinda got lazy with it a year later and didn't really get back into it until college.Yes, makeup and I went waaaaay back; we had our ups and downs but it is finally here to stay. :)

Eleven Facts About Me

1. Ever since I was born, I was given two legal  names. The English name is for when I started school and the Vietnamese name is for home use. To this day, my friends call me by my English name, my family uses the Vietnamese name and my brother and cousins uses a nickname.

2. I am an avid day dreamer. I create fan fics in my head and fantasizes about it. All the what ifs...

3. I stand at 5 feet 1 inch tall; my heaviest weight at one time was 175 pounds. I have since then changed the way I lived, what I ate and have shed many pounds. I am not at where I want to be as of now, but I am slowly but surely getting there.

4. I want two or four kids, it has to be an even number. I prefer having a boy first so he can be the big brother. If I could, I would like them to be no more than a year apart.

5. I do not like going on vacations by myself, at least my family has to be with me. However, my perfect vacation includes my family, my uncles and their families. The more the merrier. If and when I have a boyfriend, he shall join us as well. In the future, if I am lucky enough to have a family of my own, I wish to vacation with my brother and cousins' families, as well as our parents. One biggo family vacay! This kinda explains why I am so family oriented.

6. I am bilingual, other than English, I can fluently speak, write and read Vietnamese. As a matter of fact, Vietnamese was my first language.

7. My first "car" was a brand new Toyota Tacoma, when I was 16.

8. If possible, I would like to adopt a child.

9. Pandas are my favorite animals, water lilies and lilies are my favorite flowers and magnolias are my favorite trees.

10. My favorite "fast food" is Panda Express. It has since stopped, but since I was in college, I had to have Panda at least once a week. Obsession? No....

11. Although I am 24 years old, I still live with my parents. They dislike the idea of me moving out and living alone. It took them forever to accept the fact that I moved away for college. Now that I'm back, the only way to move out is to get married.
