Manicure Monday: 'Lacey Lilac' with 'Sprinkles on Top'

Helloooo everyone! How was your weekend? And how has your Monday been treating you?

For me, tired would be an understatement. Zombie sounds more likely. I was up by 2 AM on Friday and we hit the freeway by 5 AM, arrived at our destination of Garden Grove by 10:30 AM; started making our way back at 7:45 PM and arrived back home by 12:30 Monday morning. I was able to sleep by 3:30 AM and was woken up at 9 AM. That's barely six hours of sleep for the lack of two days worth. I am a grumpy, easily annoyed zombie today...

On the upside, we did get a lot of shopping done! Well, that was the main reason for making a trip to Cali. Yeah, some of you are probably wondering why it was necessary to make a six hour car ride to Cali to go grocery shopping when I can do that in Arizona. Yes and no. Because there isn't as many Vietnamese inhabitants in Arizona, there aren't as many supermarkets. We have about seven at most and not everything we need is in stock or if it is, it is extremely pricey. Whereas in California, the Vietnamese population is sky high, hence Little Saigon, so there's like a supermarket every corner. There are a lot of products that Cali has that Arizona doesn't, and the price is a lot cheaper. And I'm talking about actual food items and/or condiments to us Vietnamese like fish sauce, coconut cream, soy sauce, mam and fruits that is scarce in Arizona like fresh jackfruit, durian, lychee, longan, rambutan to other household items like incense and instant coffee. That's for my Mom, for my brother and I, we went to H-Mart in the Korean District to stock up on banana milk, ramyeon and other Korean goods we lack in Arizona.

We also did quite a bit of eating while we were there. Started off with a hot bowl of pho as soon as we made it to Cali. Eventually had some com tam then some buon cuon at Tay Ho. For the road and to bring back to Arizona, our last stop before setting off was to Banh Mi Che Cali for like 40 banh mi. I of course got my favorite milk tea with jelly.

I'm still kicking myself for letting an "opportunity" pass by. So I was at ABC Supermarket with my Mom and aunts, brother and I were the designated cart pushers/guarders. A few feet away was another guy doing the same thing for his mom. I looked over and saw him, not even a second later, he looked over and saw me looking at him. Giiiiirl, lemme tell you, he was dang sexy. I was actually surprised too cause I normally aren't attracted to Vietnamese guys. Within the next 40 or so minutes, we kept running into each other and kept stealing glances at one another. At least I thought he was also, cause I know I was. It just soo happened that his mom and my mom kept going into the same aisles, choosing the same items. Haha. Eventually he left and I thought that was it but i went out to the parking lot to deliver a cart-full so my dad and uncles to start packing the car and I saw him not far away carrying a potted plant to his car. He put it in the car and waited outside for his mom while I had to make my way back inside to find my mom. When my mom and aunts were finally done, he was long gone and I though that was that. BUUUUUUT, we made our way to another store and while I was waiting outside for my mom and aunts, I saw him drive by. He gave me a look like "Seriously? You again?".  Ugh! Thinking about it now, I should have made a move. I was so angry with myself. Haha. Why can't it happen like in the dramas? Now I sit here and spent all night regretting for letting him slip away. Lesson learned, just do it! Don't hesitate and just do it.

If Buddha is on my side and you're somehow reading this. Hey. :P And for the record if anyone happens to know him, tell him to get at me. ;) He was wearing a white long sleeve, button up (dress) shirt with faded jeans and brown shoes. He's about 5' 2" to 5' 5", slim/average with a nice smile.  He was at ABC Supermarket, 8970 Bolsa Ave, Westminster around 2 to 3 PM on Sunday, June 29th. Now drama plot twist, please happen to me!!! :'(

It was fun while it lasted, back to reality though, it is now Monday and back to work. Monday also means I get to change up my manicure!

I did two thin coats of Lacey Lilac to get the total opaqueness. For the accent nails, I did one coat of White Out and two coats of Sprinkles On Top. I'm still using the Diamond Shine Base & Top Coat as a base and top coat.

If you look closely, you'll notice that there's tiny bubbles going on. This has never happened to me before. So I am not quite sure if this is an error of mine or one of the polish. I've used this polish before, in a different shade and nothing of this sort happened. As a matter of fact, I used Coral Reef like two weeks ago. I've use this again soon to see if it's the polish. Or I might has rushed it a little. Hmm...

Please excuse the not-so-great-looking Nail Frosting bottle. That was from the damaged Hautelook order I talked about last time. I was fortunate enough to still be able to use it. Looks nice don't it?
I apologize guys for the lack of explanation and details but I am still very car-lagged and the entire family room's floor is still covered in grocery that my Mom and I need to sort through and put away.

Thank you everyone for your visit and taking your time to read. Please come back soon! :)
