Manicure Monday: Spring Pastels

Monday greetings lovely Spring flowers. I hope you all had a terrific weekend, enough terrificness to carry over to combat this Monday blue. Those four days after the weekend is always the hardest to get through, but I'm sure we can make it. Right guys? Right!
For those who aren't already aware, Spring officially begun on March 20th, a mere three days ago. When Spring is mentioned, pastels automatically jump into mind. For me at least. :) Although I don't necessarily follow the "only wear dark shades" during the Fall/Winter, I still do look forward to Spring/Summer to finally rightfully sport pastels and bright neons. And that is just what I did this week. I've been sporting dark colors way too often lately so it is definitely time.
SPRING IS HERE, SO LET'S BRING ON THE PASTELS!

Manicure Monday: A Heart of "Jazzy Jade"

Hello, hello to you all. How are y'all doing on this Monday? Sooo yeah, y'all keep warm and be safe in this bipolar weather alright? Besides the blizzard in the northeast, AZ is actually experiencing a gloomy day ourselves, nothing too extreme but nonetheless something different.
So it is Monday, regulars would know what Monday means on my blog. LOL. Another week, another manicure. Last week, I sported blue nails, link is provided if you haven't already seen it; this week, this pretty jade color caught my eyes as I was going through my nail colors.

Isn't it just the most gorgeous shade of jade??? But of course, a simple white heart to contrast. :D

Manicure Monday: "Into the Blue" With You

I am definitely feeling the Monday blues today... Into the Blue that is, which are on my nails! :P No seriously though, anyone feeling blue? Because cheer up y'all, Mondays aren't the most favorite days of the week but it's just a day and we're already over it. So over it. :)
Manicure this week is blue because I had just received this gorgeous Nail Lacquer by Probelle in my January iPsy bag. Since I have no planned manicure for this week, this nail color came jussssssst in time.
This is by no mean a review... yet. I do hope that this manicure will last me until next, next week so I can give y'all a one week update. We shall see how well this nail color will fare on its own for a whole week. Testing out nail colors and trying out new brands is definitely a favorite past time of mine.
So let's see what we have here...

Manicure Monday: 4th of July (late post)

Hellooooo Monday lovely friends! Another week has started, but like a gust of wind, Monday is almost over. And how was your day? :)

I'd like to welcome you to another Manicure Monday... except these are not "fresh paint" for they were done on Friday for the 4th of July. They're fairly new and still has no chips yet so I thought I should leave it on for another week. I received quite a few compliments over the weekend. Makes me proud because I did not put forth all 100% yet it still came out looking okay. The main idea was to incorporate red, white and blue to be Patriotic. I think I passed that with 99.9%.

Ulta Salon Formula Nail Lacquer in Blue Streak
Sinful Colors in Blue By You
Omega Labs Nail Art Colors in Primary Red

Base Coat - Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Diamond Shine Base & Top Coat
Top Coat - Sech Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

For Sally Hansen White On, I did two thin coats. I waited until they were thoroughly dried before I did the red stripes. For Blue Streak I did one thick coat and waited until it was completely dried until I applied Blue By You with one thin coat.

For the white star on my pinky, I used the tiniest dotting tool I own to create it, as I also used my dotting tools to create the white dots to resemble the stars on the flag. I used a nail art color with a special brush to create the red lines. It takes a whole lot of practice with those brushes; as you can see, my lines are crooked and uneven. It'll be another while and many more uses for me to perfect it.

As always, I used Sally Hansen Diamond Shine as my base coat and I used Sech Vite as my top coat to protect my nails and give em endless shines.

As always, thank you for visiting and thank you for reading. Please come back soon! :)

Manicure Monday: 'Lacey Lilac' with 'Sprinkles on Top'

Helloooo everyone! How was your weekend? And how has your Monday been treating you?

For me, tired would be an understatement. Zombie sounds more likely. I was up by 2 AM on Friday and we hit the freeway by 5 AM, arrived at our destination of Garden Grove by 10:30 AM; started making our way back at 7:45 PM and arrived back home by 12:30 Monday morning. I was able to sleep by 3:30 AM and was woken up at 9 AM. That's barely six hours of sleep for the lack of two days worth. I am a grumpy, easily annoyed zombie today...

On the upside, we did get a lot of shopping done! Well, that was the main reason for making a trip to Cali. Yeah, some of you are probably wondering why it was necessary to make a six hour car ride to Cali to go grocery shopping when I can do that in Arizona. Yes and no. Because there isn't as many Vietnamese inhabitants in Arizona, there aren't as many supermarkets. We have about seven at most and not everything we need is in stock or if it is, it is extremely pricey. Whereas in California, the Vietnamese population is sky high, hence Little Saigon, so there's like a supermarket every corner. There are a lot of products that Cali has that Arizona doesn't, and the price is a lot cheaper. And I'm talking about actual food items and/or condiments to us Vietnamese like fish sauce, coconut cream, soy sauce, mam and fruits that is scarce in Arizona like fresh jackfruit, durian, lychee, longan, rambutan to other household items like incense and instant coffee. That's for my Mom, for my brother and I, we went to H-Mart in the Korean District to stock up on banana milk, ramyeon and other Korean goods we lack in Arizona.

We also did quite a bit of eating while we were there. Started off with a hot bowl of pho as soon as we made it to Cali. Eventually had some com tam then some buon cuon at Tay Ho. For the road and to bring back to Arizona, our last stop before setting off was to Banh Mi Che Cali for like 40 banh mi. I of course got my favorite milk tea with jelly.

I'm still kicking myself for letting an "opportunity" pass by. So I was at ABC Supermarket with my Mom and aunts, brother and I were the designated cart pushers/guarders. A few feet away was another guy doing the same thing for his mom. I looked over and saw him, not even a second later, he looked over and saw me looking at him. Giiiiirl, lemme tell you, he was dang sexy. I was actually surprised too cause I normally aren't attracted to Vietnamese guys. Within the next 40 or so minutes, we kept running into each other and kept stealing glances at one another. At least I thought he was also, cause I know I was. It just soo happened that his mom and my mom kept going into the same aisles, choosing the same items. Haha. Eventually he left and I thought that was it but i went out to the parking lot to deliver a cart-full so my dad and uncles to start packing the car and I saw him not far away carrying a potted plant to his car. He put it in the car and waited outside for his mom while I had to make my way back inside to find my mom. When my mom and aunts were finally done, he was long gone and I though that was that. BUUUUUUT, we made our way to another store and while I was waiting outside for my mom and aunts, I saw him drive by. He gave me a look like "Seriously? You again?".  Ugh! Thinking about it now, I should have made a move. I was so angry with myself. Haha. Why can't it happen like in the dramas? Now I sit here and spent all night regretting for letting him slip away. Lesson learned, just do it! Don't hesitate and just do it.

If Buddha is on my side and you're somehow reading this. Hey. :P And for the record if anyone happens to know him, tell him to get at me. ;) He was wearing a white long sleeve, button up (dress) shirt with faded jeans and brown shoes. He's about 5' 2" to 5' 5", slim/average with a nice smile.  He was at ABC Supermarket, 8970 Bolsa Ave, Westminster around 2 to 3 PM on Sunday, June 29th. Now drama plot twist, please happen to me!!! :'(

It was fun while it lasted, back to reality though, it is now Monday and back to work. Monday also means I get to change up my manicure!

Sugar Nail Frosting Glitter Nail Polish in Sprinkles On Top

I did two thin coats of Lacey Lilac to get the total opaqueness. For the accent nails, I did one coat of White Out and two coats of Sprinkles On Top. I'm still using the Diamond Shine Base & Top Coat as a base and top coat.

If you look closely, you'll notice that there's tiny bubbles going on. This has never happened to me before. So I am not quite sure if this is an error of mine or one of the polish. I've used this polish before, in a different shade and nothing of this sort happened. As a matter of fact, I used Coral Reef like two weeks ago. I've use this again soon to see if it's the polish. Or I might has rushed it a little. Hmm...

Please excuse the not-so-great-looking Nail Frosting bottle. That was from the damaged Hautelook order I talked about last time. I was fortunate enough to still be able to use it. Looks nice don't it?
I apologize guys for the lack of explanation and details but I am still very car-lagged and the entire family room's floor is still covered in grocery that my Mom and I need to sort through and put away.

Thank you everyone for your visit and taking your time to read. Please come back soon! :)

Manicure Monday: 'Coral Reef' of Polka-Dots

Hello Monday all! Gosh I hate Mondays.... I am always extremely tired on Mondays and thus dragging the day on longer than it is.

On the other hand, I get to change my mani/pedi on Mondays! It's not that I can't on other days, I just restrict myself and reserve it as a Monday thing.

Tired from last week's green nails, I chose a bright, warm color this week. I wore this often last Summer and although it is not Summer yetit sure feels like it here, I think it is also appropriate for late-Spring.

I only did one thick coat this time around because these Xtreme Wears' formula are amazing. It has a thick formula so just be careful when applying and if you can accomplish it without the streaking then one coat is definitely enough.

should have done two coats for White On but oh well, it doesn't look as bad I guess. I would surely do another coat in the future though.

I used Diamond Strength Diamond Shine Base & Top Coat for my base and top coat.

As for my toes for the next several weeks, I have on Wet N Wild Mega Last Salon Nail Color in Heatwave, gorgeous, vibrant red-orange shade.

That's it for today guys; what's on your nails today? Let me know in the comments.

Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading! Come back soon. :)
