Manicure Monday: "Mr. Right Now" is "A True Romantic" detailed

Hello everyone and I wish you all a great Tuesday. Hope that all is going well for you all as well. Only the best wishes for my readers.
So yesterday I finally uploaded the post that I was asked to do a month ago. I am behind on a lot of materials, and I know excuses aren't going to make any difference but I promise you, once this dark time is over, I will be back with 200% effort and 300% dedication.
If any of you somehow missed it, I did a guide on how to Winterize your nails yesterday. My 6 step guide on how to keep our nails clean and healthy over the long, dreary Winter months.
Today, however, I will go into details about this week's manicure using Sephora by OPI and Julep Nail Colors.

Manicure Monday: Prime Purple

Happy Monday everyone! Ugh, I know, I know.. It's Monday, I shouldn't be this enthusiastic about Monday. But you know what day it is today! Manicure Monday!!! :D

I'm feeling the Monday's purple today y'all. Not blue, but purple. In fact, Prime Purple to be exact. This is one of the new SILK formula from Sinful Colors. It basically is a matte finish is what SILK is.

Manicure Monday: Prime Purple

Sinful Colors Professional Nail Color in Prime Purple
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Diamond Shine Base & Top Coat

It was such a pain to remove the previous color. I redid my nails a couple of days ago for the funeral, so it still had somewhat of that staying power of newly applied polish. The fact that it was nearly black didn't help either.

Little Black Dress

I had to scrub my nails real good to get rid of all the products left behind. It somewhat stained my nails already, even though it was barely applied days ago.

Any who, I applied a base coat afterward to protect my nails from this week's manicure. Still using the Sally Hansen Diamond Shine.

I applied two thin coats of Prime Purple to my nails. If I would have done the first coat thicker, I think I could have left it at that. My nails were fully covered evenly. It took no more than 3 minutes to completely dry to the matte finish. This formula seems to be a tad thicker than their original. It's a little frustrating to work with, maybe it's just me this time. I'll give it another try before I completely judge it.

Too jazz it up a little, I took my Seche Vite and applied it to the matte finish at random, like a horizontal, vertical and diagonal strike to have some contrast of shine and matte, It doesn't show up well with this shade. Maybe on a darker shade it will.

But yeah, that's it for this week's manicure. I'm really loving this purple. It makes me cheery looking at it. What do you guys think?

Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. Please come back soon! :)

Manicure Monday: 4th of July (late post)

Hellooooo Monday lovely friends! Another week has started, but like a gust of wind, Monday is almost over. And how was your day? :)

I'd like to welcome you to another Manicure Monday... except these are not "fresh paint" for they were done on Friday for the 4th of July. They're fairly new and still has no chips yet so I thought I should leave it on for another week. I received quite a few compliments over the weekend. Makes me proud because I did not put forth all 100% yet it still came out looking okay. The main idea was to incorporate red, white and blue to be Patriotic. I think I passed that with 99.9%.

Manicure Monday: 4th of July (late post)

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in White On
Ulta Salon Formula Nail Lacquer in Blue Streak
Sinful Colors in Blue By You
Omega Labs Nail Art Colors in Primary Red

Base Coat - Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Diamond Shine Base & Top Coat
Top Coat - Sech Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

For Sally Hansen White On, I did two thin coats. I waited until they were thoroughly dried before I did the red stripes. For Blue Streak I did one thick coat and waited until it was completely dried until I applied Blue By You with one thin coat.

For the white star on my pinky, I used the tiniest dotting tool I own to create it, as I also used my dotting tools to create the white dots to resemble the stars on the flag. I used a nail art color with a special brush to create the red lines. It takes a whole lot of practice with those brushes; as you can see, my lines are crooked and uneven. It'll be another while and many more uses for me to perfect it.

As always, I used Sally Hansen Diamond Shine as my base coat and I used Sech Vite as my top coat to protect my nails and give em endless shines.

As always, thank you for visiting and thank you for reading. Please come back soon! :)

Manicure Monday: Simply Elegance

Hello everyone! It is Monday once again and today, I am working on this post as I sit in the Jury Assembly Area. Yes, I have been summoned for
Jury Duty.  I've been here since eight o'clock this morning and it is now 12:30. That's not even near the end either, I'll be here until five or 5:30... GAAAAAAHHHHHH :'(

Working on posts is really the only thing keeping me sane right now.  Even though I'm stuck here, I was smart and did my nails last night so I can do a post today. I didn't have much time to do anything fancy but it turned out better than expected.

Manicure Monday: Simply Elegance

Wet N Wild Mega Last Salon Nail Color in Champagne Toast (limited edition)
OPI Nail Lacquer in Black Onyx
Ulta Salon Formula Nail Lacquer in  Boogie Nights

Base Coat - Sally Hansen Diamond Shine Base & Top Coat
Top Coat - Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

Champagne Toast took me two coats to get the total opaqueness you see there. I would have done one thick coat if I wanted to go for one of the Spring Nail trend of sheer nails.

Black Onyx on the other hand, only took me one coat to completely cover my nail. It's just a simple, blackest black polish that is a must have in a nail polish collection.

The glitter polish is called Boogie Nights from Ulta. I only picked this up because it was one of the free items I could redeem from my rewards, but I ended up loving this sooo much! It's so glittery, small, fine ones and large ones. It looks great with any warm tone polish like how I'm pairing it today.

This is the results of me wingin' it and free styling my nails without any pre-planning. I usually picture ahead of time of how I should do my nails but not this week. I just picked up colors and started dotting and taping. it doesn't look nearly as bad...yeah?

Well, I'm off to start a new post for tomorrow or Wednesday since I'm all camped out here and most likely will not be called any time soon.... I hope you're all having a better, productive day than I am. Oooii. Well thanks for joining me guys and thanks for reading. :)
