Hello all and Monday greetings! I was gonna wish you a happy Monday but I highly doubt that was true. Haha. I mean, I can't complain about my Monday but I'd much rather it be the weekend still. Just a heads up, I probably won't go anywhere this week because I have to babysit my baby cousin all of this week. I am great with children, but it's one thing to care for them at home then taking them out. This little one is two months shy of being 2 years old so she is one heck of a hand full.
She took a reeeeeeeally long nap earlier so I was able to do my nails real quick. I was so tempted to just do a simple, classic manicure but what the hey... Let's just risk her getting up. :P But don't get me wrong, I didn't do anything extravagant either, just kinda added a bit pizzazz from the norm manicures.
Okay, here we go before she wakes up and cries for her parents. LOL.
Hello alllllll!! I bring y'all another combined haul today because it's seriously been too long. LOL. All were freshly purchased earlier today because after days of endless, crazy Christmas shopping, I should reward myself with a few ish of my own. :D Some were needs and the rest are wants... Haha.
Despite the bipolar rain and breezy weather, I made way to several stores. Everything shown here are either from Bath & Body Works, Target, Ulta and Walmart. It is a combination of eyes, lips, nails and some skincare products.
If you are interested to find out what the products are in details, click on the "read the rest of this entry" link here.
It's Wednesday guys!! D-1 until Thanksgiving!!!! Can you tell I am ecstatic?! Haha. I hope you're all enjoying your last day of work and/or school before the four day weekend. It is a necessary break if you ask me. :P
Much to my dissatisfaction, I was out doing last minute shopping for tomorrow's.. er.. Friday's dinner. Long story short, because all the shops and stores decided to one up each other and open earlier and earlier and the deals are too sweet to pass up on, we as a family decided to move 'Thanksgiving' dinner from tomorrow to Friday. So all of tomorrow and possibly Friday morning will be dedicated to shopping. Fun, fun!!
But anyways, the last minute shopping. I am a very punctual person; time is important to me. For me, arriving 15 minutes early is late. So if it were up to me, I will not wait until today to go out and make the final purchases. Unfortunately that is not up to me because my mom and aunts are the chiefs this year so they make the list, I am just the errand runner. The stores were PACKED! The streets were JAMMED. I was not in a good mood at all. It took me like and hour and 15 minutes to get to somewhere that it would normally take 20 minutes. It's pretty ridiculous.
Today's makeup, pink cheeks with matching pink lips and a pop of green on the eyes for fun. ;)

Went for the luminous bare faced look again today. Haha. What's new? I feel like since I am a beauty blogger, I should be more experimental with my makeup but I honestly love this face makeup so much. It's so easy and simple to do yet makes me look very youthful. Adding to the mix are rosy cheeks. This Physicians Formula blush itself has a glow to it so it'll give my cheeks a glow along with providing the rosiness. I opted for a matte highlight to keep everything from glowing and radiating; there's a fine line between glowing and looking like a disco ball. LOL.
To pair with my bare faced, I went for clean neutral eyes. I didn't even sport my usual cat eyes because I wanted my cheeks and lips to be the focal point today. Since rose pink and green goes well together, I decided to add a hint of green to my lower lash line. Not too much, just a bit of color to keep things interesting.
The pink lips I kept talking about is a shade called Pink Peony. I picked this up in the clearance section at Target not too long ago and haven't really worn it much since, maybe three or four times at most. It's like a tinted lip balm with minimal shine to it. I fairly enjoy wearing it. It isn't tacky nor is it sticky on my lips, No special scent either. It does stain a little so do expect it to be a bit darker after it sets than when first applied it.
Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. Please come back soon! But do take the time to spend it with family and create ever lasting memories. Enjoy your holiday weekend y'all!! :)
Hello everyone. Hope you're all enjoying your Saturday, and your weekend while you're at it.
Today is my Grandmother's funeral. I attended with a heavy heart, and throughout the ceremony, I was in disbelief still that she is really gone forever.
Today's makeup is somewhat long-wearing/waterproof. I didn't want to wear anything I knew couldn't withstand the tiniest bit of liquid. In the end, I was right to use waterproof products...

The mess above will result in a face, something like this...
Couldn't flash a smile today and din't want to fake one. Smiles are most beautiful when most natural. So just my "trying to look sexy" gaze.
I also redid my nails, cookies and Cookie Monster, I think wasn't appropriate for such occasion. I initially wanted to go for black but I dug a little dipper into my stash and found something better.
I used the Ulta Salon Formula Nail Lacquer in Little Black Dress. It's like a charcoal gray with bits of silver glitter. Very gorgeous on the nails. Gonna be super hard to take it off tomorrow... Haha.
Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. Please come back soon all! :)
Although we still do not know of my Grandmother's whereabouts and no news of her has surfaced, we're all convinced that her granddaughter already took the liberty to bury or cremate her without notifying anyone. If that's the case, I'm honestly speechless. I just want to see my Grandmother off, is that too hard to ask?
We cannot get into my Grandma's old apartment but we are trying. She used to live there with her friend, so his family is trying to get access of the apartment. Hopefully if they do, we can tag along. Sigh, STRESS!
Unfortunately today is quite a busy day so I cannot provide y'all with new materials. Since it is Thursday, a throwback seems to fit.
So here we go, Throwback Thursday of my most recent hauls!
These are the three most recent hauls. If you're interested in more haul posts, please visit my Table of Contents where I provide the full list of all the hauls and others.
Hope y'all will enjoy these posts and let me know if you have anything to say, comment away!
Thank you for dropping by for a visit. Please come back soon! :)
It's been a while since my last haul. I've been refraining myself from buying more makeup... It is a really unhealthy obsession but what to do! Since I bought more than five items today, thought I should share 'em with y'all because some of these items I picked up, I have been waiting anxiously for, like The Nudes.
FACE
Sonia KashukConcealer Palette in Hidden Agenda - Light Sonia KashukAll Covered Up Concealer in Porcelain
Y'all know how much I love my Sonia Kashuk Concealer Palette, I love it so much that I almost used up my current palette. I love that the palette has three different shades for different areas and blemishes. This is my second time repurchasing this palette, the first since Sonia Kashuk revamp her products, er, packaging. I hope the formula didn't change or anything.
I couldn't stop myself from also picking up the full coverage concealer. I wonder if Porcelain is a little too light for my skin tone though, I was contemplating between Porcelain and Ivory. Although Porcelain is lighter, it has a yellow undertone whereas Ivory has a pinkish undertone. If anything, I'll exchange it for a different shade.
EYES
MaybellineThe Nudes Wet N WildMega Liner Liquid Eyeliner in Dark Brown
YES! Finally got my hands on The Nudes!! It took me a good while but here it is. The colors look gorgeous. If this is anything like the other Maybelline shadows, then it is nothing short of amazing. Cannot wait to play around with 'em. For those who already tried them out, how are they?
Did not have time to stop by Walgreens to pick up a new brown liquid liner, luckily Target now has a Wet N Wild section. The section is still missing quite a few products but I'll give it time.
LIPS
Pixi by PetraSucculent Lip Twin Lip & Cheek Tint in Pink Peony MaybellineBaby Lips Crystal in:
- Crystal Kiss
- Gleaming Coral
- Pink Quartz
- Beam of Blush
- Mirrored Mauve
This Succulent Lip Twin was also in the clearance section. I picked it up for $5.40, but the original price was $18, later reduced to $9. I just dove right in as soon as I saw the pretty shade. It says this is a lip and cheek tint but also says it is a lip balm... Hmm. The way the product is designed is also interesting.
And finally... I caved in and bought the new Baby Lips. I held out for as long as I could but they just kept taunting me. LOL. I picked up five shades, all the shades that were available at Ulta. I am unsure if there are more shades available, but I gotta tr these first. The sparkle, sparkle glitter looks sooo pretty!
NAILS
PixiNail Color in Lime Lustre Sally Hansen Kwik Off Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover
I was lucky enough to spot this gorgeous nail color from the clearance section, this was the last bottle of this shade. There were a few others, but I didn't need anymore black and yellow. This was originally priced for $8 I believe, but I snatched it for $2.40. Still not the cheapest polish I've ever scored but I don't mind. Such a pretty green that I have yet to have in my collection.
For more info on this Pixi nail color, visit yesterday's manicure post called The Lone Strawberry. :)
This is what I use to remove my nail polish; this must be the hundredth one I went through. It strips of the polish within seconds yet very gentle on the skin and nails. It comes in a little jar with a sponge with three slits inside; I have not had any spillage accident in the longest while.
BEAUTY TOOLS
Real TechniquesMiracle Complexion Sponge Up & UpCosmetic Wedges (latex foam) ArdellBrow Precision Shaper
Woohoo! Real Techniques came out with their own beauty sponge. It's so firm, yet soft, with a slight bounce to it. I haven't tested it yet so there is no way to tell how great it'll work but considering how all of my favorite brushes are Real Techniques so...
Applying BB Creams with a damp sponge has become my new favorite way of application. Sometimes, using disposable sponges are better than using beauty sponges. Since I am running low on them at home, I bought another pack from Target, 32 sponges for less than $2.
Yeah, I needed new brow shapers. I have the other type right now and thought I should give these a try to see which one works better.
That's all for now guys. Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading all! Come back soon!! :)
Happy Friday all! We got through yet another week so yay to that! Hope you'll all have a fantastic weekend.
My crazy weekend started today with my brother and I running all around town doing errands. It's so hot out, I'm begging for rain but there is absolutely no chances of precipitation today whatsoever. The temperature keeps rising as I slowly fry to death.. AH, IT'S SO HOT!
My skin is basically back to its original state, healthy and not a battle zone where pimples go to die. Thanks to my perseverance of not wearing makeup whenever possible, diligently doing steam facial, scrubs and masks, drinking lots and lots of water and eating clean, my skin is super healthy again. Yay!
If this taught me anything, it made me realize that it's okay to not wear makeup all the time. I've learned to appreciate my bare skin, blemish and all, just as long as it's healthy.
I want to quickly share with you all what I have on today. A little bit of concealer, some neutral gold eyes with winged liner and pretty pink lips. That's enough for me today.

Heeeeeey guys! How are you guys doing this Monday? And how was your weekend?
It was a crazy weekend for me with the World Cup Finals and everything. It's been a while since everyone gathered and had a good time, so that was great. A bit ear-deafening with lots of screaming and cheering but it's all good. Asian family gatherings are normally like that..Haha.
On another note, for the first time in a long time, Arizona received our first major rainfall last night. Instead of being in the 100s, the temperature dropped to the mid-90s, which doesn't seem much but it feels a lot cooler. The only downside to rainfall is the humidity, 38% humidity to be exact. It feels like California weather to me and needless to say, I don't like it. :( Yet, I'm still hoping for more rain.
So anyways, it is Monday, ya'll know what that means. I get to switch up my nails! I welcome you to another Manicure Monday guys. This week, I wanted to go back to something simple and not too much on the eyes. Reason being, if you remember, I had my nails in flashy red, white and blue to display my Patriot Pride. I've looked at those for more than a week so it's definitely time to switch it for a more solid, less flashy shade.
UltaSalon Formula Nail Lacquer in Mint Condition Sinful Colors in Rise & Shine NYCLong Wearing Nail Enamel in French White Tip
Sally HansenDiamond Strength Diamond Shine Base & Top Coat (not pictured)
As always, after prepping my nails, I paint a base coat to protect my real nails. I am still using Sally Hansen Diamond Shine.
Ulta Salon Formula Nail Lacquers are usually opaque with one coat. So that's what I did, one thick coat of Mint Condition. With the exception of my middle and ring finger, I left a tiny gap from the nail bed, so the color is kinda just floating. For the middle finger, I painted the whole nails, from nail bed to tip. I did the same for my ring finger, except I just used another darker shade called Rise & Shine. Again, what you see above is one thick coat of Rise & Shine and Mint Condition.
After those are dried, and it will take a while with this Ulta Lacquer. I used the biggest dotting tool I own, you can use a bobby pin, a toothpick or even a pencil for this, to make three big dots at the nail bed. For my middle and ring finger, I dotted four dots vertically (up and down).
That's basically it. After that was dried, I used the Diamond Shine as a top coat also. This top coat is by no means a quick dry one, so it'll take a while. It will help protect the lacquer from fading for this next week and will also help slow down the chipping.
I initially didn't really like the final product. I actually wanted to redo them, but after looking at them for a while, it doesn't look so bad anymore. What do you guys think?
So that's it for the manicures this week. Show me what's on your nails. I'd love to see your creativities or even nail polish shades.
Thank you for once again joining me on my blog. I look forward to your visits everyday and thanks for reading. Please come back soon. :)
Happy Hump Day everybody! How are you guys today? I am running on no sleep and lots of coffee today... Ow the headache. One night of tossing and turning and up sprouted a biggo, red pimple, right smack on the side of my face!
I stopped by Ulta earlier to redeem my coupon before it expired. I was originally gonna pick up some NYX products but apparently they're not on sale this week. I can wait for their buy one, get one half off sale. So I browsed around and came across a couple of new products. It was soooo hard not to pick up everything. I promised myself I would ease off in purchasing more makeup for the time being.
I saw that Maybelline came out with four or five new Baby Lips, this time, they're called Baby Lips Crystal. The Crystal refers to the shimmery specks of glitter in the lip balm. There was a light pink, coral, hot pink, mauve and berryI believe... er.. or it might have been nude. Either way, I am not too crazy about this collection. I'm not one to wear glittery or shimmery lip products. I will eventually purchase one to give it a try and we'll see where that goes.
What I did buy though, are the limited edition Duo Fiber brushes from Real Techniques and another Expert Face Brush as a backup. Cause ya know.. who doesn't need a backup brush? LOL.
This limited edition set has three duo fiber brushes labeled: duo fiber face brush, duo fiber contour brush and duo fiber eye brush. According to Real Techniques, the duo fiber is a "true multitasker" because the "duo-fiber bristles work with cream, liquid or powder for an unbelievably air-brushed finish". The brushes are incredibly soft, dare I say softer than their normal brush?
Most of my brushes are Real Techniques, two of my go-to face brushes are also Real Techniques so even though this set was almost an impulse buy, I don't think I'll regret it. Real Techniques made my makeup application experience so much more enjoyable and for that, I appreciate it so much more. I will definitely give these brushes a try as soon as I can and will let ya'll know ASAP.
On another note, has anyone tried the new L'Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara yet? I was this close ---> || of picking it up but then decided not to.. So if you already gave it a try, how was it? Thoughts? Well that concludes today's rambling. Thank you for joining me yet again. Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. Come back soon! :)
Hello Monday everybody.Hope you all had a great weekend. And how's your Monday going?
I'd like to welcome you to another Manicure Monday! Last week, I sported coral-white polka-dotted manicure; it was bright and colorful so this week, I want to tone down the mani a bit but still seek for something simple yet glamorous this week. Nothing yells glamour than glitter, lots of sparkling, glitzy glitters.
Sephora by OPI in A True Romantic UltaSalon Formula Nail Lacquer in Boogie Nights Sally HansenDiamond Strength Diamond Shine Base & Top Coat (not pictured)
Unlike Seeing Pink Elephants where it was okay to do one coat, A True Romanticdefinitely needs two or three. I did two coats here, the first one a thin coat and the second a thick coat. I was able to apply the lacquer with ease, I had no problem with them skipping or streaking. The thin coat took no more than 5 minutes to be completely dried while the thick coat took no more than 10, but I let it dry for about 15 to be sure.
What you see is one coat of glitter. I absolutely love Boogie Nights, it has grown to become one of my most favorite glitter polish. I have paired with it other shades and it looks great on all. Love the fine gold glitter and colored specks of larger glitter; it looks beautiful in the light.
I am still using Sally Hansen Diamond Shine Base & Top Coat as a base and top coat. Nothing special to say about these, except that they do seem to protect me nails when used as a base coat.
If you enjoyed this manicure, please check out the manicures from the previous weeks, here.
Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading all! Come back soon!! :)

Of the five members, I can luckily call ONE of the five, Oppa. Thank you Leader for being an 87 Liner... even though you look don't look 26 at all. :|
Helllllo everybody and happy Friday!!!!!!!!!!!! Here is another K-Pop inspired makeup look today. Like how I was obsessed with NS Yoon-Glast month, I am obsessing over Secret's Hyosung/Hyoseong this month. Ahhhhh, she's such a beautiful woman as is but her makeup from her MV...just WOW!
Got to love her Gummy Smile.
Out of all the looks she sported in the MV, I will be recreating this one here. I will eventually get to the rest of her looks within the next few days. The whole look is almost identical with the exception of her under eye liner and lips. I'll try to share with ya'll when and if I do recreate her other looks.
Inspired look for today

I just love how Koreans' makeup their face. It's like FLAWLESS and so velvety... I've actually been sporting this type of face makeup almost on a daily basis. Although it looks effortlessly, it is anything but. It actually takes a whole lot of steps and very time consuming. This Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream sure makes life a whole lot easier though.
To rid my skin of dead skin and dullness by using dr, brandt Microdermabrasion. Then I pat, pat, pat on my moisturizer and let that dry before applying an illuminating primer. This primes my face whilst giving it an illuminating glow that "comes from within". Next, I used Brightening Peach to eliminate my dark circles. Just a dab of product and that will do the job. I used Amazing Concealer elsewhere on my face to conceal the pesky blemishes. Then, using a beauty blender, I started dabbing the BB Cream onto my face. Do not rush and just take your time dabbing bit by bit. This BB Cream has a full coverage but very lightweight because it is waterbase. It claims that it'll give your skin a bounciness, which I do see. I like, I like. Hyosung's face is really matte so to mattify mine, I used Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder to set. Because her face is already small and gorgeous, she doesn't need much contour and sculpting but I do... I used a very light matte bronzer to do so. Even though the bronzer compact I am using has a shimmer side, I only swirled my brush on the matte side. I can barely see blush on her face, but I'm gonna go ahead and use a very natural tone blush just to give my face a little color. I am loving these ELF Mineral Blush! Even though the makeup is matte, highlight is always a must. I used a matte...er...seemingly matte highlight to bring dimension to my face. And viola, face is done.
I looooove her eye makeup. Eyes and lips are probably the two factor that grabs me the most. I love me some gorgeous eyes and beautiful lips. I start off my priming my eyes, I used a pearly primer because I will not be using much eyeshadows, so that serves as an eye brightener. I took a flat eyeshadow brush and took Iced Latte to my browbone, inner corner and all over the lids. Then I took a fluffy brush to soften the browbone and inner corner. Using my Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil, I lined my upper lash line. Then taking an angled brush, I started smudging the liner to soften it. It's totally optional, but you can also use a black shadow to set the eyeliner; I didn't because this liner will NOT budge on me at all. When it comes to the outer corner, do not flick it up or wing it, basically just extend from your upper lash line. What's left on the brush, I used that to tightline my upper and lower waterline. Also extend the liner from the lower waterline, so it's parallel to the top extension. The bottom extension should be relatively shorter then the top. Then with my Waterproof Eye Crayon in a purple shade called Iris, I concentrate that to the outer corner of my lower lash line. With a smudger brush, I smudged the shadow and pulled it inward so it lines my lower lash line. So if you got it right, it should be super light in the inner corner and gets gradually darker as we get out to the outer corner. We're not done yet because I then took a NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in a pearly purple shade, Oyster, to my inner corner and 1/3 of the lower lash line, lining under the darker purple. We're almost finished, just curl the lashes and coat them in mascara, top and bottom. Done!
For her lips, I actually went for the one similar to the first GIF, it has more color and I like that better. After I gave my lips a nice exfoliating scrub, I applied a pinkish lip balm to give me a base all the while keeping my lips hydrated. I took my Etude House Rosy Tint Lips and applied that to my inner lips, top and bottom. The little spongy tip makes it so much easier to dab the product onto the lips. I kept the color in the inner area, not letting it spread out too much. Then I took my sheer Ulta Lipstick and applied that all over my outer lips.
Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading all! :)
