Today's Make Up: "Eye on Neutral" for the "Beauty Queen"

Hello, hello Saturday my lovely readers! Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend by far. It is always the same with me, always be busy, busy with something. This week, we have an extravagant birth party for my baby cousin, she turns two! I'm not sure if I should look forward to it or not, cause ya know, the terrible twos stage. *shiver*

Her mom, my aunt even flew back from Nebraska for the event. So yeah, it will be huge. As is with all Asian events, we do things ourselves. LOL. All the women gather and lend a helping hand. I was sucked into it, obviously. So yes, this is my life story for today.

On the bright side though, there are abundant amount of food just waiting to be devoured later. It is seriously so hard to diet being apart of this family.. Controlling oneself is already a challenge around here. Haha.

But yeah, full face of makeup for today. Something comfortable and low maintenance, something like a BB Cream, nude eyes and rosy, neutral lips.

Today’s Make Up: Sea Sprite

Hello everyone! Hope you're all doing well this terrific Tuesday. Yeah.. Can you believe that? We're three days from the weekend, but don't blink or it will surely pop up out of no where. It's like the older you get, the faster time seems to go by. I remember when I was in elementary school, a day could NOT drag by any slower. Tsk tsk...

Arizona has a 60% chance of rain today, and not just rain but thunderstorm with high winds and all that good stuff. At the moment though, no more rain, just very, very cloudy skies, dark clouds and very humid. I really shouldn't go anywhere today but I dreamt of my Grandma last night. Maybe she's lonely out there by herself... So I decided to go visit her today. I spent some time out there just talking to her, filling her in on what's happening. I think she's happy there, resting next to her husband. She's resting in peace now. I miss her and not a day goes by that I don't think about her; I just can't believe it's been 6 months already.

I did some lazy makeup today since I didn't really want to do full out makeup. I didn't want my efforts to go to waste if I were to be caught in the rain. I haven't used any of my Maybelline Eye Studio quads in the longest while so I thought I should give them a go today. I wanted something bright and whilst going through my drawers, Sea Sprite caught my eyes.

Today's Make Up: A "Plum Frost" "D-Vinely Chilled"

Hi, hi, hiiiii all. What's good this Thursday y'all? :P

I actually planned a different post for today but before I even got started, my uncle gave me a call asking me to pick up my little cousin from school. After that, I spent nearly the rest of my afternoon at the doctors and now, I'm just watching him. Poor thing. :(

So yeah, another day, another made up face. Luckily, I had some time this morning for makeup so instead of my usual go-to makeup I ranted about yesterday, I went for something a tad fancier. Well, not fancy, fancy but it is definitely something out of the norm.

If you are a regular, you've probably noticed that I do not wear a whole lot of dark and bold makeup, whether it's eyeshadow or lipstick. On my skin tone, dark colors are just too much, I end up looking like a vampire of some sort. But sometimes, I wake up, wanting to be a vampire. Mwahaha. Today, is one of those days.

Today's Make Up: Current Go-To Make Up

Wednesday greetings my beautiful readers. :) I hope you are all doing well this Hump Day; just two more days guys... Two. More. Days. Can y'all tell I'm anticipating for the weekend? Haha. Just a bit. :P

Ran some quick errands today but didn't have much time to get ready in the AM... Okay.. not really, I lied. Haha. I had plenty of time, I woke up fairly early... I just couldn't get out of bed. LOL. When i finally did drag myself out of bed, I only had less than half an hour to get ready before going to pick up my aunt.

Desperate times calls for desperate measures! Kinda... This has been my go-to makeup as of late. On days where I just need to throw something on to look presentable or limit on time or both like today, this is the look I go for. Nothing too fancy but definitely very presentable and natural.

Today's Make Up: Casual, Rainy Friday

Happy end of the week everyone! I hope that your Friday has been as awesome as mine. I was up since 4:30 this morning and was out in the cold, rainy streets to rescue my cousins from their car troubles. Fun... what an awesome way to start off the weekend. Haha. But hey, it has been raining ALL day, such PERFECT cuddle weather. ;)

It has been a while but here is finally another Today's Makeup mess. As y'all may know, I have been baby sitting my baby cousin the past two weeks and haven't been going anywhere. I had some errands to run today so I had to take my baby sitting on the go, baby came alone. Lemme tell ya, major, major, maaaaajor props to the mothers of young children that are still capable of going shopping. Man was it hard work, and I even had my brother with me.

Today's Make Up: The "Peacock" of "Bora Bora"

It's weekend everyone, it is weekend!! Hi guys! And how are you all doin' ?

Another breezy yet warm day here in the AZ, which I spent out and about. I must say, I dreaded less being out today then yesterday, maybe the fact that the sun was out and warming things up had something to do with it, maybe. Like I said, I am a true Arizonan girl, I like my sun. 8-)

Able to get some sleep last night, I woke up more of less refreshed this morning. I was in the mood to do a full face of makeup today. Yes, less is more and natural beauty is always better but sometimes, sometimes you just gotta glamafy yourself! And that sometimes is today. I felt like spending an hour to myself just applying makeup, that's all; just me, myself and I, alone in my makeup room.

 

I used an eyeshadow quad called Bora Bora from Be A Bombshell. I did a whole entire blog entry in details and swatches a while ago, click here if you are interested. :P

Today's Make Up: 2015 New Year

New Year's Eve greetings to you all!! By the time this is posted, some part of the world is already 2015. Regardless of what day it might be, this will be the last post of 2014 for me. Bitter sweet that 2014 is coming to an end.

So many things have happened in 2014, happy things, sad things, tragic... It's life. I spent 2014 being a 24 year old. Although I would not change my life, I would like to see change in 2015. I'll be a 25 year old, hoping to find love, be successful in my career, with better luck. I also met a few people that quickly became great friends with and one specific person whom I have become inseparable with. I hope that it'll work out and we end up being an item in 2015. :)

Mentioned in yesterday's post, my paternal grandmother passed away two nights ago and my heart have been in pain ever since. We weren't close in distance because she was in Vietnam and I in the U.S. but we didn't allow the ocean to separate us. I want to cry and just let it all out but in the midst of it all, my Daddy did lose his Mother also. My Father, being the Asian man that he is, isn't showing that he is sad or upset but it's unspoken, we all know that he is hurting deep down. He keeps telling us that Grandma would not want us to be upset and sulking over her death. She is now in a better place, no longer suffering. I was not feeling the New Year's Eve at all and wanted to skip out on the family gathering later tonight but Daddy insist that we all go and have fun. Even though I am not content with this I will do this for my Daddy.

Tonight will not be our usual family gathering but more of a New Year's party. Many family friends and acquaintances will be there so it's not like I am BS my makeup tonight. LOL. When I think of New Years, glitter and sparkles usually comes to mind immediately. Lots and lots of glitter. So that is exactly what I have packed on my eyes tonight.

Today's Make Up: "Strawberry Milk" Flavored "Cotton Candy"

Hello Friday everyone!!!! How are you all doing?? Are we all recovered from the hectic Christmas day? LOL.

I am very blessed to have family that totally can read my mind. Haha. We all went out to dim sum this morning. Never gonna complain about having dim sum, especially with these crazy people I call family. :P Love them to bits and pieces... Even though they are so loud. Typical Asians.

After dim sum, we actually went post Christmas shopping and just wandered everywhere really. No matter doing what, I just love spending time with them. There seriously needs to be more holidays when everyone is off and can get together. Not enough, ever.

The makeup mess today includes a few old faves and some new products. I'll use this (not so) new mascara and let y'all know how it works on my thick and heavy lashes.

Today's Make Up: Christmas 2014

Merry Christmas and happy festive day to each and everyone of yooooooou!! Hugs and kisses to all. :D

I hope y'all had an enjoyable morning. Did ya get everything on that Christmas wishlist? LOL. It was a crazy morning here at home; love, love, looove seeing my family happy. There is seriously no better feeling in the world. But right after the unwrappings, it was straight back to the kitchen for Mom and I. Lots of food preparations need to be done before dinner at 6 tonight but I have to leave my house at 4 so not much time left.

I just wanted to share with y'all what I will have on my face today. I haven't done my make up yet but I usually like to pick out what I'll wear beforehand to speed up the process. So yeah, will be on the face sometime later. :P

Today's Make Up: Ladyfingers

Heeeeeeeello my special Winter snowflakes. :) How is everyone doing? D-2 until Christmas and tomorrow is Christmas Eve. I know some are still working up until tomorrow but do not fret! It'll be just until midday tomorrow and everyone can be home to enjoy the break. Sooooounds good to me.

Alrightio, so two more days until Christmas but although the present shopping is done and finished, there's still some last minute grocery shopping at the request of my Mommy and aunts. Them and there last minute planning. :/ I am trying to get all shoppings done and over with today and TRY not to leave the house at all tomorrow. I can already see the last minute shoppers and the hectic crowded stores. Ugh... shivers.

I wandered the streets today, drifted from store to store with the bro. We had lunch and stuffed our faces throughout the trip, all good times. Haha. He actually complimented me on my makeup today, which is a definite first. He isn't the type of guy who likes thick makeup and false lashes and bold lips, natural is better in his eyes. So I was quite surprised this morning when he told me he liked my makeup. Actually, more shocked than surprised because I half-assed today's makeup and just did whateva. :D Best kind of makeup these is. LOL.

Noooothing on the face besides bronzer to contour. Please do keep in mind that whenever I say I have nothing on my face, I will always have on some sort of moisturizer, usually my Olay Complete for Oily Skin.

I created a cat eye with my brown liquid liner. Then I used a detailed brush and applied Luxury Reborn to my lower lash line and crease. I then took Pixie to my inner corner of the lower lash line, lining my waterline in Nude. I used Perversion to tight line my upper lash line,  and at the outer corner of my lower lash line. I used a fluffy brush to blend out the eyeliner for a softer look. Then curl and mascara using this new Lash Sensational. I am really, really impressed with this mascara by far. I cannot say much about it because this is my first use. But a very great first impression. It was able to lift my heavy, thick lashes.

For the effortless lips, I first applied a red tint then topped with Ladyfingers for that reddish-berry pout.

Today's Make Up: "Charmed" With A "Heart Of Gold"

Hello Saturday my lovelies!! Hope all is well. :D I hope you're all enjoying your weekend by far. I, myself am having one fattening and nonproductive day by far, which simply put, am having a fantastic Saturday! LOL.

I spent the majority of my noon/afternoon having dim sum with the fam. The food is so delicious I am beyond stuffed... :S Yet with the reminder of the food makes me wanna keep stuffing myself. Haha. The dilemma. I can't run today either because I am needless to say super behind on my work today. Nothing planned has even been touched yet and I guess the tree isn't gonna go up on it's own. After I post this, is definitely tree time!... After I make myself a nice cup of hot cocoa to warm my soul.

On the face today is light face makeup, bronzey-nude eyes and natural pink lips. Sometimes, naturally simple is more. :)

Lots of ELFs on the face today from tinted moisturizer to setting powder and even blush. I promise I didn't plan it ahead, it was a, pick and choose as we go. LOL. I didn't really need that much coverage on the face today so I opted for a tinted moisturizer instead. This ELF moisturizer held up just fine for the few hours that I did need it to stay on. The humidity is still lingering and the dim sum we were at was so crowded and stuff I thought my face was gonna melt off. Thank goodness it didn't. Tickled Pink is a very natural pink, perfect for fair skin as myself.

Went all bronze and gold on the eyes today. Going through my makeup drawers this morning, this quad caught my eyes; the gold and bronze seemed too beautiful to pass up. I'm not sure why I only have one of these quad but I need more! The formula is amazing! No fall outs and pigmented, my only slight problem with it is that it may be a little too dry. Besides that...

Creamy pink pouters today. I was actually complimented about my lips several times today. Shade is called Charmed by BH Cosmetics. This lipstick glided on with ease, so creamy and pigmented. It did not last me through the meal but I did not expect it to. This lipstick did not claim to be long wearing or or long lasting, it is a Creme Luxe and creamy twas.

Alllllrighty, I am off to erect my holiday tree. This will not take all day... LOL. I truly do enjoy this time of year though, it makes my heart all warm and tingly even though it is freaken cold out.

Happy Friday all!! Or at least I think it's Friday... Haha. It was one heck of a day yesterday and the chaos has not ended yet, nope, cause today is part 2!! Today's Make Up: I Want Candy!

Hiiiiiiiii guuuuys!! D-2 until Thanksgiving and I am in hyper mode running my butt off to make way for the food coma that's to come. :D

The roads and stores were packed today... already! I cannot imagine how it will be tomorrow, yet tomorrow, I'll have to make a final trip to the store to buy what's left on the list that is yet to be composed by my mom and aunt. :/ I will have a FANTASTIC time tomorrow trying to navigate my way through the stores and try not to curse too much while driving. Haha.

I took another trip to the airport today to pick up the last of the family friends that will be joining us for Thanksgiving this year. While we were out anyways, we decided to finish up the home shopping for their house. I usually don't like to stereotype, but I get why they say that Canadians are unnecessarily well mannered and polite. LOL. These guys might just be the most well mannered men I have ever seen in my life. 

Annnnnyways, on the face today are the semi-mess below. TOM is currently visiting so my face is exploding with zits... those nasty, disgusting unwanted zits. So I am trying to keep my face makeup as light as possible.

I type this with a headache pounding at my head... Advil isn't even helping today. Mehh.. But anywho, cannot let a simple, err, not-very-simple headache get me down. It's been a good while since I've used these L'Oreal eyeshadows. Iced Latte is such a great highlight shade while Eternal Sunshine is a great shade for all over the lids. The eyeshadows are so pigmented and apply like butter. I have no problems with fall outs or flakiness. Besides these two shades, I also own two more shades, a bronze and a plum... forgot their names but I realized I wanted another shade called Amber Rush. I've heard many people rave about how awesome the shade is as both a stand alone and when paired with another shadow.

On the lips is just another pretty shade of pink from my Lip Butter collection. I am sure this will and can last me the entire night until dinner is over, which is when I will wipe off the old and reapply with a new coat.

Today's Make Up: Wedding - A Bridesmaid

If you visited my blog yesterday, you probably know that I am one of the bridesmaid for my friend's wedding today. It will be a traditional Vietnamese wedding, ceremony in the morning and reception in the evening. As y'all can probably see from the products above, I did not use a BB Cream today, awwww, I know, but instead relied on my trusty Revlon Photo Ready foundation to last the entire day and also photo friendly. I went through the routine as I would normally but when it came to blush and bronzer, I opted for mattes. When I know that I'll be wearing make up for a long period, I tend to shy away from shimmers because as the day progress, the oiliness will give me enough shine as is. I want to keep everything as matte as possible. 

As for my eyes, I didn't do anything over the top. I used the eyeshadows from the Naked 3 palette to create a brown smoky eye and topped it off with an Overshadow for a little more shimmer. I did, however, wear falsies today. Gaaaaaasp, I know! Wearing the Kiss Human Hair Eyelashes in Diva 01; received this in my iPsy bag a couple days ago. 

For my lips, I went with something I know works. I used my Peri's Tint Water underneath my NYX Butter Gloss. I took an extra step and applied the ELF Lip Lock Pencil around my lips to ensure feathering as a precaution. 

After everything was finished, I set my face with a setting spray to ensure my makeup will stay on and remain fresh throughout the day. Before I left the house, I did lightly mist my face in Thermal Spring Water to keep my face hydrated and I also through in a travel sized can into my bag to frequently mist myself throughout the day.

Today's Make Up: Birthday Lunch With Friends

Hello Thursday all! One more day guys, just one more day until the weekend. D-1 until my 25th birthday. Gahhhh, happening too soon. I'm not quite sure how to feel about turning 25 yet. Haha.

Anyways, since tomorrow is my official birthday and I will be hanging out with the brother, my friends wanted to have lunch today. It was great seeing them happy again. We caught up during lunch and did some shopping together, like the good ol' times.

Keeping the makeup simple today with the fall trend of natural face and smoky brown eyes.

I've been into the whole mixing the Magic Lumi with a BB Cream to create a glowing natural look. Truly super gorgeous and natural looking.

I kept my eyes a light smoky brown since my lips will be a super vibrant pink. I have not used this palette in a while and I remembered why that is. I needed to use it wet in order for the shadows to show up, or being able to pick up at that. A damp brush does the trick.

Today's pop of pink comes from my blush by Jane Multi-Colored Cheek Powder and Rimmel Long Lasting Color Rush Balm Stain. Keeping it pink. Pink for the cure! #Pinktober
