Today's Make Up: A "Narcissus" In The "Rose Garden"

Happy Friday my lovely readers and visitors, hope you're all having a fantastical day!! :D Now that Friday is almost or is forever, let's make way for the glorious weekend. Yeah? Okay, sounds good.
Another gloomy day here in the AZ, hoping hard for another rainfall but being the the rational Arizonan that I am, highly doubt that. But of course, feel free to prove me wrong you darn AZ weather! Give me raaaaaain!! Nonetheless, I shouldn't be complaining, the weather is so idealistic today. It's just one of those days where you open your eyes, look out the window and just know that it's gonna be a wonderful day. :) And a wonderful day it has been. Had lunch with the brother and did some more Christmas shopping; lots of memories in the making this time of year. I will surely miss times like this when we both are married and have out own families. LOL.
Any who, no lazy makeup today, I went all out. ;) And by all out, I mean the whole face and eyes. Pink is the color of choice today, because why? Haha, I mentioned a couple days ago, if not last week that when I am in a happy mood, pink immediately comes to mind. Pink lips with pink cheeks and kinda, sorta pink eyes to match! Let's get to it!
Today's Make Up: A "Narcissus" In The "Rose Garden"
FACE

Pixi Correction Concentrate in Brightening Peach

Maybelline Black Drama The Falsies Volume Express Mascara
LIPS
NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick in Narcissus
To contrast with the many days of sporting the no makeup bare face, today's face is a go to favorite. It's that bare face look with the luminous glow I have been raving about. In order to obtain the flawless canvas to create that "bare face" look, several products are needed. In order to achieve the poreless canvas, I used a pore filler on those areas. And for those pesky under eye dark circles, uneven skin tone and redness, nothing heavy duty concealers cannot fix. After the face has been flawlessly prepped, I used a mixture of BB Cream and a pump of Magic Lumi and applied that evenly onto my face with a damp sponge. After that, I just set with powder, contoured with bronzer and applied blush as always. Today's blush of choice is a dusty rosey shade called Rose Garden.
On the eyes, I went for a pinkish nude, complete with a winged brown liner. I then used Perversion to tight line my upper lash line. To balance the pink from my eyelids, I popped more pink on my lower lash line with Holika Holika Jewel-Light Under Eye Maker.
To finish off the pink on pink look, I went for bubble gum pink lips. I absolutely love these NYX Round Lipstick and can go on for daaaaaays about how amazing they are. Creamy, long lasting, moisturizing, pigmented, you get what you see, it's just all things amazing packed into this lipstick. Like I said, Narcissus is a bubble gum pink, vibrant in color and in my opinion, will look good with any skin tone.

Today's Make Up: Make It "Smoky" With A Side Of "Sheer Red"

Friday greetings y'all and happy weekend!! How are all you lovelies doing this fine Friday? This week seemed to have flown past like a gust of wind, but I'm not complaining though, the weekend is always welcomed here. LOL.
Imma be spending this weekend mostly at home, getting the tree and decorations up. I am actually super late this year, last year and the many years before that, the tree went up at the latest, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I have no idea what happened this year, got older I guess... :/ Hahaha. But yeah, tree will go up, decorations will be hung while I sip on hot cocoa, blasting Christmas carols. LOL. 'Tis the season.
Roamed the wet and humid streets today with the brother. Sibling bonding time, hooray!! Weather is still gloomy as ever, no rain though, which is a slight disappointment to me. On days like this, I tend to sport bold lips to compensate for the dreary weather. Today, I have on luscious red lips, paired with purple smoky eyes.

Nothing special on the face today because I usually do not wear much face makeup on humid days. Humidity alone makes me want to tear my skin off, wearing a thick face of makeup is just unimaginable. So just some creamy concealer and a hydrating BB Cream. True Plum is a berry-plum matte-ish blush. Love it to bits.
I was in an adventurous mood this morning, so I created a purple smoky eyes, something I usually do not wear. The purple shades on this palette is just gorgeous. I actually have a whole post about this palette with swatches if you're interested. SMOKY PALETTE

Hi all!! Hope you're all doing spectacularly well this Wednesday. Yep, it is Wednesday already. Surprise, surprise. :/
Super quick post today to share with y'all what I have on the face. Nothing fancy at all, just a whole lot of pinks. Gloomiest day Arizona have had in the longest while, yet still no rain. Shocker!
I used my makeup to put myself in a better mood. Pink therapy really helps. LOL. Pink eyes and Barbie pink lips. Mwah! I feel pretty, oh so pretty. :D

Today's Make Up: Wedding - A Bridesmaid

Happy Saturday all! Hope you're all enjoying the utmost fantastic weekend!! :D

If you visited my blog yesterday, you probably know that I am one of the bridesmaid for my friend's wedding today. It will be a traditional Vietnamese wedding, ceremony in the morning and reception in the evening. Needless to day, I will be busy all day today; so for the sake of convenience, I had composed this blog last night. By the time y'all read this, I will probably be at the reception getting ready.

Any who, on the face today. This is probably the most products I've worn on my face, like ever! LOL.

Today's Make Up: Wedding - A Bridesmaid

LIPS
ELF Lip Lock Pencil
Peri Pera Peri's Tint Water in Candy Juice
NYX Butter Gloss in Peaches And Cream

As y'all can probably see from the products above, I did not use a BB Cream today, awwww, I know, but instead relied on my trusty Revlon Photo Ready foundation to last the entire day and also photo friendly. I went through the routine as I would normally but when it came to blush and bronzer, I opted for mattes. When I know that I'll be wearing make up for a long period, I tend to shy away from shimmers because as the day progress, the oiliness will give me enough shine as is. I want to keep everything as matte as possible.

As for my eyes, I didn't do anything over the top. I used the eyeshadows from the Naked 3 palette to create a brown smoky eye and topped it off with an Overshadow for a little more shimmer. I did, however, wear falsies today. Gaaaaaasp, I know! Wearing the Kiss Human Hair Eyelashes in Diva 01; received this in my iPsy bag a couple days ago.

For my lips, I went with something I know works. I used my Peri's Tint Water underneath my NYX Butter Gloss. I took an extra step and applied the ELF Lip Lock Pencil around my lips to ensure feathering as a precaution.
After everything was finished, I set my face with a setting spray to ensure my makeup will stay on and remain fresh throughout the day. Before I left the house, I did lightly mist my face in Thermal Spring Water to keep my face hydrated and I also through in a travel sized can into my bag to frequently mist myself throughout the day.

Y'all enjoy your fabulous weekend now and don't forget to be safe. Thank you for visiting and thank you for reading. Please do come back soon! :)

Today's Make Up: Thunderstormin' Thursday

Why hello, hello there my pretties and happy Thursday! A rather stormy Thursday here in the AZ, but that's fine, a great way to start the weekend for me. :P

Like yesterday, today's makeup is also waterproof and humid resistant.

LIPS
City Color Lip Lush Luscious Lip Crayon in Light Pink & Dark Pink

Pink products today are a combination of City Color Lip Lush in Light and Dark Pink.  #Pinktober

Today's makeup look is kept to a bare minimum, whilst incorporating a lot of Fall trends. I never show the brow products I use, but today's look is all about the brows and lips.

I took more time than I usually would to shape and sculpt my brows today. One of the Fall trends this season are full brows. So that's what I'm sporting today.

I applied Champagne all over my lids to brighten up my eyes and add a little shimmer. Then I thinly lined my eyes with a gel liner, curled my lashes and applied mascara.

I first applied Dark Pink all over my lips as I would with a normal lip product, then I took Light Pink to the middle of my bottom lip only. This will give my lips a fuller effect.

Today's Make Up: Pink for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Happy October 1st all! D-2 until I turn 25! Ahhhhhhhh!! Happening oh so soon, bittersweet feels... Such bittersweet feels.

October is also known as Pinktober and is named so because October is the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Pink Ribbon is the symbol of hope. Pink for the cure!

In honor of Pinktober, I decided to sport pink makeup for the first day of the month. Actually, I am thinking about sporting something pink whenever I wear makeup for the entire month. I'm not promising anything. Haha. But I'll try, for the cause. I know it's something minor but I also want to raise awareness in any way possible. So please join me if you'd like, it's for a good cause. :)

On the face today!

Today's Make Up: Father's Day Brunch

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY EVERYONE!!!!

Happy Father's Day to everyone out there. Although we should always show love and appreciation to our parents on a daily basis, today is especially the day to honor our fathers. I'm especially proud to call my Daddy, Daddy because this man not only brought me into this world, he went above and beyond to not only bring me up, but educate me and give me only the best of things in life.

We had a Father's Day brunch as one HUGE family, honoring five Dads at once. It was basically the family gathering from last nightpart 2, only now, we're killing the dim sums.

I had my makeup on only for a brief time today because it came off as soon as I got home. There are a lot of housework to be done outside today and being glamorous is not one of them. The makeup came off and I slapped on some sunscreen.

Elizabeth Mott It's So Big Volumizing Mascara

LIPS
Covergirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Haute Pink Twist 220

No concealers were needed today so I jumped right to BB Cream after applying moisturizer. I evenly applied the BB Cream with a damp sponge to get the healthy, dewy glow. I set that with a Translucent Powder and used bronzer to contour and bring back some color to my face. I used the bright, pink blush from my That's Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette; I applied the blush to the apple of my cheeks with the sponge also to get the natural blushed cheeks. I also used the highlight from the palette as well.

Today's Make Up: Father's Day Brunch

I started off by priming my lids before picking up the pearly beige shade to my inner corner and browbone. With a flat eyeshadow brush, I packed the pink shade all over my lids some inner to outer corner. I flipped the brush around and packed the slightly darker beige shade on the latter half of my eyes, so basically mid eye all the way to the outer corner. With a pencil brush, I took the brown shade to the outer corner and outer V. I start by applying from the outer corner and work my way in so that the brown shade would also be on my crease but not as intense. I also applied that brown to 1/3 of my lower lash line starting from the outer corner. Starting from the inner corner of my lower lash line, I applied the Jewel-Light Under Eye Maker. I started out thick at the inner corner and gradually thinning it out as it meets the brown shadow on the latter half. I lined my upper lash line using my favorite liquid liner and applied mascara to the lashes.

Today's Make Up: Father's Day Brunch - ES

To pair my lips with everything pink today, I wore Haute Pink Twist to give me subtle pink lips. It's just a great lightweight balm that served me well for the four hours that I needed it. More than that, I would have needed to reapply.

Thank you for joining me in another post everyone. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading! :)

Today's Make Up: Family Gathering & Dinner

Hello Saturday all! Hope you're all enjoying your weekend!

I've been one busy bee todaygettin' things done. My brother and I got all the cars washed... just in time for Monsoon season to start in ArizonaThat's what we do for rain here in ArizonaNot getting any rain? Go wash your car, a few hours later, rain. But anyways, quick post about my makeup todayFamily gathering and dinner at Pacific Seafood Buffet. Yep, after an intense week of extreme dieting, it is time to let loose and kill the buffetHaha.

After spending nearly the entire day out in the sun, I pampered my skin a little by stirring up a quick nourishing mask before applying makeup on my face. Today I used the mask with avocado and milkThis mask left my skin silky smooth, firm, and hydrated.

I used Baby Skin around the areas with lots of and visible pores before using Pixi to conceal around and under my eyes and Sonia Kashuk to other blemishes on my face. I used a medium coverage BB Cream because I want that coverage, also look natural and have something light on my skin. This BB Cream also gives me a natural luminous glow. This BB Cream will have no problem lasting me now to the end of the night but I still do need to set it with a Pressed Powder to control the excess oil. I used my favorite bronzer to contour and give my skin a little sun kissed glow. I used the Floral Blush Duo in Tulip  as blush and highlight. The "highlight" in Tulip is somewhat dark, it's almost a bronzer but it's still light enough to work as a highlight.

Today's Make Up: Family Gathering & Dinner - Tulip
Today's Make Up: Family Gathering & Dinner - It's Judy Time ES Palette

I start off by priming my eyes with Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I used 'A' to brighten up my inner corner and highlight my browbone. Then I packed 'Ball over my lids, from inner to outer corner. I used a pencil brush to apply 'C' on my crease and 'D' on the outer corner and outer V. With a clean fluffy brush, I buffed and blended the edges to clean 'em up. With the pencil or smudger brush, I took 'E' onto my lower lash line, starting from the outer corner and working my way instopping about mid eye. I smudged it out a little and kept it concentrated at the outer corner and slowly fading as we get to the middle. Using the liquid liner, I thinly lined the upper lash line and ever-so subtly, extended it out at the outer corner. I took Sun Light and applied that on my lower lash line, starting from the inner corner and pulling it out about a third of the way. This step is really up to you, however you like to extend it but I do recommend not to pull it out too far or your eyes will look closed up instead of having large deer eyes. I heated up my eyelash curler with a hair dryer and let it cool off a bit before curling my lashes and quickly applied mascara to keep it curled.

For the lips, I applied Peri's Tint Water in the inner part of my lower and upper lips and let the water bleed out to the rest of the lips. I reapplied it after a couple of minutes and let that dry before applying LolliesPrior to doing anything with my lips, I gave them a good scrub with Vaseline and a soft bristle toothbrush and applying lip balm afterward. Dry, chapped, flaky lips are not attractive and especially looks hideous with lip tints.

To lock all of the moisture in and keep my skin hydrated throughout the night, I misted some Thermal Spring Water onto my face full of makeup.

That's it guys! I gotta finish getting ready cause we're gonna leave in a bitThank you for visiting and thanks for reading. Come back soon! :)

May iPsy Bag: Beauty's Fresh Picks Update

Heeeeey everybody! It is time for another iPsy Bag update!

First off, for the recordthis hair mask did not live up to expectations. It wasn't by any means a bad hair mask, it just didn't do anything special to my hair that my Suave Conditioner cannot do. It made my hair silkysmoothshiny and nourished my hair from the chlorine-filled pool and Arizona sun. I've also read from various reviews that this hair mask was able to nurse damaged hair due to bleaching and/or dried out hair from styling back to health. It also works well for those with fine, thin hair as this mask strengthen the hair strands and provides extra moisture for those with natural curly hair.

My hair has never been dyed or bleachednaturally straight and thickalmost never use styling tools and the only "damage" it suffers are from the chlorine and sun so this mask didn't really give me any oomphs. Like I said, my Suave Conditioner does my hair the same goods for less than a dollar while this is $12 for 60 mL and $40 for a 500 mL. Besides that, I really liked the smell though, I thought it smelt amazing.

I will recommend this hair mask to those with thin, brittle hair, naturally curly hair, frizzy hair and those whose hair is damaged from bleaching and dying them.

Hang Ten Classic Sport SPF50I am glad I received this in my bag this month. Although I did not repurchase it...yet, as it is $12.99, I'm glad I got to try it out. I have used this sun block enough times to know how it works for me. It smells great, it dries almost immediately, it's not greasy and it really does protect from the sun. Because I received such a small bottle, I was only able to experiment it on my face. I've worn it aloneunderneath a BB Cream and foundationmixed it with a BB Cream and foundation; I must say, I liked all of the combo listed above. It locked in the moisturekept my skin hydrated, made my makeup last somewhat longer. When mixed with a BB Cream or foundation, it gives off a natural glow which is so pretty.

I will continue to use NeutrogenaCoppertone and Banana Boat as these have worked well for me through the years and will reserve what I have left of this Hang Ten for special occasions like when I go boating at the lake or any other outdoor activities.

Pacifica Mineral Eyeshadow Duo in Duo #1 Celestial & OpalAfter I got over the fact of how cheap the packaging was, I was thoroughly surprised of how awesome this duo is. This duo is especially made for iPsters and unfortunatelyif you would like to get your hands on it, will have to purchase the palette. The palette called, Mystical Supernatural includes four shadows for $14 on its site.

subconsciously reached for this duo quite often ever since receiving it. There's nothing especially amazing about it, it's just I've been lazy and only wear one shade of shadow so I can get away with blending. This duo conveniently has a highlight and all over the lid shade. What did surprised me was the seemingly beige shade came out to a pinkish-white color and the seemingly light caramel shade comes out to be a pearly beigeBlendability wise, I"ll give it an A because I had no issues of it skipping or dragging on meEasy for the brush to pick up, spread on like butter. And guys, no fall outs! Oh yeah, I did put this to the ultimate test and wore it without a primer...yeah.. never again. It creased like three hours in. With a primer, it will
last all day, errr, most of the day.

I'll say this, as much as I loved this duo, I will not shell out $14 for a quad of eyeshadows. That is ridiculously pricey.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte BronzerA little goes a loooong way is especially true for this little guy. Which is good because if I were to purchase the full size product, it's $30. I cannot say I will never purchase the full size because I already owned the full size prior receiving this in my bag. This bronzer is by far my ultimate favorite high end bronzer, hands down. The texture is super creamysuper blendablesmells so delicious. It works with my skin tone well and I cannot only use it as a bronzer but also as an eyeshadow.

Although I have the full sized and now this deluxe sample, I cannot bear to use them. Only on special, special occasions will I pull them out and use 'em. They're too precious and pricey to be used everydayAhhh...

Avene Thermal Spring WaterI forget if I mentioned this in one of my posts already or not but I placed an order for two 10.58 oz bottles... Because this is pretty amazing and a major necessity in my daily routines. Yes, I came to love this "water" so much. I loved it so much this product actually made my favorite list this month.

Okay, so I guess here is where I gotta explain why I am so in love with this productI really don't know why guys. And if you read the reviews for this, comments from people who feels nothing special for this product greatly out numbers those who enjoys it. I am one of the few who likes it, which is a bit weird because it is technically just a can full of "water".

Here are some of the reasons why I am
crazed enough to buy cans with water for $18 each. First off, I used this as a setting spray for my makeup and have realized that it keeps my skin hydrated in the hot weatherkeeps my makeup in place longer and it refreshes my makeup midday. I also mist this on my face after a workout which instantly cools me off in a way that normal water cannot. And trust me, I've tried misting with water before. I also mist my face before bed which locks the moisture in until morning. I also used this once or twice after shaving my legs but I felt no difference there so I stopped. Although my brother did say he felt a feeling of refreshness after misting it after shaving.

Off to a family gathering I go. Enjoy the rest of your day guys. Have a good weekend!

Thanks all for visiting and reading! Come back soooooon!! :)
