Today's Make Up: "Babydoll" in "Dollhouse Pink"

Hi all!! Hope you're all doing spectacularly well this Wednesday. Yep, it is Wednesday already. Surprise, surprise. :/
Super quick post today to share with y'all what I have on the face. Nothing fancy at all, just a whole lot of pinks. Gloomiest day Arizona have had in the longest while, yet still no rain. Shocker!
I used my makeup to put myself in a better mood. Pink therapy really helps. LOL. Pink eyes and Barbie pink lips. Mwah! I feel pretty, oh so pretty. :D

Today's Make Up: Pink for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Happy October 1st all! D-2 until I turn 25! Ahhhhhhhh!! Happening oh so soon, bittersweet feels... Such bittersweet feels.

October is also known as Pinktober and is named so because October is the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Pink Ribbon is the symbol of hope. Pink for the cure!

In honor of Pinktober, I decided to sport pink makeup for the first day of the month. Actually, I am thinking about sporting something pink whenever I wear makeup for the entire month. I'm not promising anything. Haha. But I'll try, for the cause. I know it's something minor but I also want to raise awareness in any way possible. So please join me if you'd like, it's for a good cause. :)

On the face today!

Make Up Special: Back To School - 3 Makeup Looks

Saturday greetings friends! My three-day weekend has "officially" started and it feels so good... although I got up a tad late today because we got in super late last night. Oh wells. :)

We caught loads of fish last night, we hardly know what to do with all of them. Thank goodness for my Mommy and her skills in the kitchen. Oh yeah, I almost had a heart attack last night, out in the dark waters, a rattle snake swam towards the boat and wanted to launch itself at us. Luckily, my Daddy and Uncle was quick and killed it before anything.

So it is back to school season, I know, I am a little late about it because most schools already resumed weeks ago. I decided to do a makeup special for back to school looks. This is not to say that this is exactly what you should wear, this makeup special is just suggestions to make school life more manageable.

Here I composed three makeup looks for different time spans, 5 to 10 minutes, 15 to 30 minutes and full makeup for those with more time to spend. Are you ready?

5 TO 10 MINUTES MAKEUP

Make Up Special: Back To School 5-10 Mins Makeup

FACE
Sonia Kashuk Concealer Palette in Hidden Agenda

EYES
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Milani Brow & Eye Highlighters in Matte Cream/Luminous Lift
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Sin
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Strawberry Milk
Almay Get Up & Grow Mascara (waterproof)

LIPS
Benefit Posietint
Maybelline Baby Lips Crystal in Pink Quartz

With only 5 or 10 minutes to spare, this makeup is quick and simple whose main aim is to look awake, not so much glamorous.

When I am limited to such little time, I usually opt to go bare faced, that is if my skin is behaving. If that's the case, a little concealer will do the trick. Try using a concealer palette with different shades, like this Sonia Kashuk that includes two different concealer and one neutralizer. Of course you can use any concealers you wish, a palette just takes less time to fish around for multiple concealers.

The eyes play a BIG role in looking awake but with only so much time, there's not much to do. I recommend using a single shadow, a shade that is neutral yet brightening with subtle glow. Too dark a shadow can make you appear more tired than you already look, too light a shadow will make it seem too fake. Apply a pinkish shadow to the lower lash line also to further open up the eyes.

Stick with a pencil eyeliner if you're quick on time. Unless you have a 100% rate of success using gel or liquid liner than you can go ahead and use those. I, myself need time when it comes to liquid and gel so... Also, find a pencil liner that glides on easily and one that will last long like the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencil Liner.

Nothing, and I mean nothing will budge these Benefit tints. To keep your lips looking as natural as possible, I chose a Posietint, a pinkish shade and topped it with Baby Lips to keep the lips from drying out. Baby Lips Crystal is just a plus, you can use any lip balm you please.

15 TO 30 MINUTES MAKEUP

Make Up Special: Back To School 15-30 Mins Makeup

FACE
L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB in Fair
Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder in Fair
NYX Stick Blush in Tulip

EYES
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow in Nude
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion
Covergirl Lash Blast Fusion Mascara in Very Black

LIPS
Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick in Fresh Papaya

This makeup look is for those who has about 15 to 30 minutes to spare on beautifying yourself.

A medium coverage BB Cream can be worn in place of a concealer like this L'Oreal one. The reason why I chose this specific BB Cream is because of its formula and how I never use a brush with it. I only use fingers with this BB Cream, which in turns take less than 3 minutes all together. For those who have dry skin, you can probably get away with not setting, but since I have oily skin, setting with a powder is a must.

No time for brushes calls for stick blushes. NYX has a large shade range of stick blushes and will last you all day, guaranteed.

With 15 minutes on hand, a quick eye look is possible. Again, try going for neutral shades, only this time, you can use more than one shade. Just try not to use too dark a shade or you'll spend a good chunk of your time blending. Here, I chose the Nude palette by Physicians Formula. There are nine shadows within close shade range so it takes less effort to apply and blend.

Again, I opted for a pencil liner again; however, depending on how much time I have left, I can also go with liquid liner. Say I have 10 minutes left, I can try and go for liquid versus if I am down to 3 minutes, I will definitely use pencil.

When I wear a lip product for a long time, I will go with something that provides color not only when applied, but long lasting power, hydrating and will keep my lips moisturize all day and last but not least, low maintenance. This Color Stick by Neutrogena has some serious staining power that will not dry out your lips. Other great balm stains include Jordana and Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and Balm Stain Matte and Lacquer.

LIPS

NYX Butter Gloss in Apple Strudel

And here we have our full on makeup for those, who are like me, who wakes up super early for school and have endless amount of time to get ready.

I mix 50% of foundation and 50% BB Cream to get a light, full coverage product. Schools tend to blast the AC which can cause the skin to dry out, the BB Cream will keep the skin hydrated. Again, I cannot skip setting with powder because I have really oily skin. This is a full makeup look, so I went ahead and used bronzer and highlight as well as blush. You can substitute any product or any shades to your liking her, this is just a suggestion.

With more time means I can utilize any eye look, however, when it comes to school, I like to keep things more natural. I went with a neutral palette again, but this time, a smokey type neutral. I take my time applying the shadows and blending to my heart's desire. The last step is to apply an Overshadow to the lids to make it super glisteny.

This is when I am confident I can use liquid liner. When I use liquid liner, I tend to do super wings. But that can be a little too top heavy, so to balance it out, I usually will apply a glitter liner to the inner corner of my lower ash line.

Nothing beats a red tint lip with a smokey natural eye. Especially ones topped with a nude gloss. If the gloss is too high maintenance for you for school, just use a lip balm instead.

Annnnd that's a wrap guys. Hope this becomes helpful to some of you. And if this doesn't apply to you, hope you enjoyed it anyways.

Today's Make Up: Brightening Up A Gloomy Day

Hello Friday all! Hope you're all having a great day!!

It's a busy, busy day for me today. I am not even complaining, the weather is super gorgeous out! It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but overcast, super cloudy, dark clouds are my kinda days. As much as I love it, it does give quite a gloomy feel, which I think is perfect to sport some bight eyes and lips.

I wanna share with y'all real quick what's on my face today. Again with nothing on my face, just some bright eyes and a bold lip. It surely gives some color to a gloomy, colorless day like today.

Today's Make Up: Family Gathering & Dinner

Hello Saturday all! Hope you're all enjoying your weekend!

I've been one busy bee todaygettin' things done. My brother and I got all the cars washed... just in time for Monsoon season to start in ArizonaThat's what we do for rain here in ArizonaNot getting any rain? Go wash your car, a few hours later, rain. But anyways, quick post about my makeup todayFamily gathering and dinner at Pacific Seafood Buffet. Yep, after an intense week of extreme dieting, it is time to let loose and kill the buffetHaha.

After spending nearly the entire day out in the sun, I pampered my skin a little by stirring up a quick nourishing mask before applying makeup on my face. Today I used the mask with avocado and milkThis mask left my skin silky smooth, firm, and hydrated.

I used Baby Skin around the areas with lots of and visible pores before using Pixi to conceal around and under my eyes and Sonia Kashuk to other blemishes on my face. I used a medium coverage BB Cream because I want that coverage, also look natural and have something light on my skin. This BB Cream also gives me a natural luminous glow. This BB Cream will have no problem lasting me now to the end of the night but I still do need to set it with a Pressed Powder to control the excess oil. I used my favorite bronzer to contour and give my skin a little sun kissed glow. I used the Floral Blush Duo in Tulip  as blush and highlight. The "highlight" in Tulip is somewhat dark, it's almost a bronzer but it's still light enough to work as a highlight.

Today's Make Up: Family Gathering & Dinner - Tulip
Today's Make Up: Family Gathering & Dinner - It's Judy Time ES Palette

I start off by priming my eyes with Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I used 'A' to brighten up my inner corner and highlight my browbone. Then I packed 'Ball over my lids, from inner to outer corner. I used a pencil brush to apply 'C' on my crease and 'D' on the outer corner and outer V. With a clean fluffy brush, I buffed and blended the edges to clean 'em up. With the pencil or smudger brush, I took 'E' onto my lower lash line, starting from the outer corner and working my way instopping about mid eye. I smudged it out a little and kept it concentrated at the outer corner and slowly fading as we get to the middle. Using the liquid liner, I thinly lined the upper lash line and ever-so subtly, extended it out at the outer corner. I took Sun Light and applied that on my lower lash line, starting from the inner corner and pulling it out about a third of the way. This step is really up to you, however you like to extend it but I do recommend not to pull it out too far or your eyes will look closed up instead of having large deer eyes. I heated up my eyelash curler with a hair dryer and let it cool off a bit before curling my lashes and quickly applied mascara to keep it curled.

For the lips, I applied Peri's Tint Water in the inner part of my lower and upper lips and let the water bleed out to the rest of the lips. I reapplied it after a couple of minutes and let that dry before applying LolliesPrior to doing anything with my lips, I gave them a good scrub with Vaseline and a soft bristle toothbrush and applying lip balm afterward. Dry, chapped, flaky lips are not attractive and especially looks hideous with lip tints.

To lock all of the moisture in and keep my skin hydrated throughout the night, I misted some Thermal Spring Water onto my face full of makeup.

That's it guys! I gotta finish getting ready cause we're gonna leave in a bitThank you for visiting and thanks for reading. Come back soon! :)

Today's Make Up: Green & Orange

Hello all! How are you doing this fine Thursday? I'm having the most wonderful day because I slept soundly like a baby all through the night. I woke up refresh and re-energize, ready to take on the day; which I do need because I had to accompany my Grandmother to her doctors' appointments all day.

Today's Make Up: Green & Orange

Lack of sleep for just one night visibly took a toll on me physically, I'm still a Panda... :( Thank goodness for heavy duty concealers!! I used the lighter side to conceal my dark circles and the side that matches my skin tone on other minor blemishes. Although this concealer is in a stick form, it isn't dried as other stick concealers. I didn't need full coverage today so I chose to wear a BB Cream. With this specific BB Cream, I do not use a brush to apply but rather with clean fingers. In my opinion, the beads are distributed more evenly with fingers. Because this BB Cream has very light coverage, I decided to set it with a rather full coverage powder like L'Oreal True Match. I contour and highlight with my favorite bronzer and highlighter like I normally would. To finish off my face, I used a bold orange blush and with a super light hand, I applied the blush to the apple of my cheeks. This Rosy Cheeks is crazily pigmented, apply it with a bit of force and you're a clownGently does it.

prepped my eyes by priming it, this will ensure no creasing and fading midday. With a flat eyeshadow brush, I packed Champagne all over my lids and inner corner.  I pulled it slightly above my crease and ended it at my outer corner. With a clean fluffy brush, I lightly dab the brush into the shadow and dust that on my browbone then still using the brush, start buffing out the edges to clean 'em up. I thinly lined my upper lash line with my favorite liquid liner and did not extend, flick or wing it out whatsoever. It ended where my lash line ended. I rimmed my lower waterline with a Nude pencil liner to open up my eyes a bit before taking the green Creme Shadow Pencil to my lower lash line. I started at the outer corner of my lower lash line and worked my way in, all the way to the inner corner. Starting from the outer corner again, I went over the previous line, this time stopping 2/3 way in. I repeat for the third time, only this time I stoped 1/3 way in. With a detail or smudger brush, I kinda just lightly go over the cream shadow to even everything out. Don't press too hard because that might end up picking up the shadow itself. Using the Eyeliner side, I start lining a third of my lower lash liner starting from the inner corner. With the Shadow side (the bigger end), I go over the liner. This just basically soften it up a bit. With a clean finger, I lightly smudge the transition point of the green and pearl so they'll blend together. Lastly I curl my lashes and apply a coat of mascara to the top and bottom lashes.

I think orange paired with green is such a lovely combination. With the green under my eyes and orange on my cheeks, my lips should be orange also. After I thoroughly scrubbed my lips and applied lip balm to it, I took my Revlon Balm Stain in Rendezvous to the inner part of my lips, top and bottom. I let that sit for two minutes before going over it again, dabbing it with my fingers afterward. Then I take the NYX Butter Gloss in Apple Strudel and applied that all over my lips to give it some shine and color.

After everything is applied and I'm ready to head out, I used Avene Thermal Spring Water to set. I am currently still testing this out but from what I can see, this really helps keep my make up in place and controls the oil on my T-zone.

Thank you for visiting and thanks a bunch for reading guys. :)

Today's Make Up: Mommy & I

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!
To the all the mothers, grandmothers, mothers-to-be,
Today is dedicated to you, not that we need a day to show you that we love you, respect you, admire you... with the selflessness, kind, loving nurture you've used to raise us with, everyday is Mother's Day

I LOVE YOU MOMMY!!!! Con thương Mẹ nhiều lắm.

So today is Mother's Day, whether she's healthy, happily alive on this Earth with you or she's at a better place looking down at and always by your side, today is a day dedicated to these Mothers. I'm assuming that many of you are/were spending time with your Mom; I know because I am. We actually went to Dim Sum for a Mother's Day brunch with the family. We're going to head out for a Mother's Day dinner at Pacific Seafood Buffet in a bit. So it's an all around Mother's Day celebration today.

My Mom got married and had me when she was 30, now, she is now in her mid-50s. Looking at her now, I've realized that she's aged from when I first looked at her yeaaars ago. She is still beautiful as always. But through all the years of her working hard for my brother and I, all the sacrifices she's made, the hardships she endured, it had withered her. But my Mom is never one to put herself first, she never took the time to beautify herself, she never spent money on herself. Even now, we're no longer in any hardships, she still puts herself last. I tried all the time to beautify her, but she says that's not her and she's not used to it. All she does on a daily basis is tint her brows and BARELY line her lower lash line...
But today...  mwahahah. I finally got her to put on a little more than her usual. I'll get to that in a min, but first, what's on my face today.

LIPS
Maybelline Color Whisper in Petal Rebel

I started off by priming my face and concealing my problematic areas. I am using my Holika Holika Aqua Petit BB Cream, this is water-based so it is very lightweight and natural looking. I applied this with a beauty blender. I almost never skip this step, setting everything with a powder, which I used this Dream Wonder for the first time. I used a very light peach blush; it's one of those very subtle border-line nothing there type shade. I didn't want to wear too much color today but this actually gave me some color back to my face.  I contoured like I normally would and highlight.

I primed my lids with NYX HD Eyeshadow Base today because I wore some vibrant colors and this will make it show up a lot better. I used the Milani Eye & Brow Highlighters for my browbone and inner corner. On a flat eyeshadow brush, I took the nice seafoam green and started packing it in my innermost corner all the way to the outer corner. I keep packing it until I am satisfied with the color tensity. I then flipped my brush over and picked up the light teal shade and packed on from mid-lid to the outer corner. I packed this so that it is slightly darker then the seafoam. With a detailed brush, I used a purple-ish blue shade for the outer corner, outer V and crease. I blended and buffed everything out until there are no loner any harsh transitions. I took a pencil brush, and with purple shade, I started lining my lower lash line starting from the other corner working my way in. I went over it maybe twice and I was happy with the results. I went back to the flat brush and took some glitter and dab that on the middle of my lid, right on the ball to add a little dimension. I lined my upper lash line thinly and winged it using Essence Extra Long Lasting Eyeliner Pen. I also took this pen and started dotting a few dots on my lower lash line to create an illusion of fuller lashes. I used a nude eye pencil to rim my lower waterline to brighten up my eyes so it doesn't seem enclosed with it being so top heavy. Then just curl and mascara top and bottom.

Today's Make Up: Mommy & I - Sonia Kashuk Eye on Glamour

I did a lot of eating and talking today so I wore something moisturizing and comfortable, yet can still give me some color. I wore one of my Color Whispers today in Petal Rebel. It stayed on for most of the meal.

On my Beautiful Mom

Mother's Day
I didn't have time to take a picture of her make up, but here are the 5 products I used on her today.

EYES/BROWS
Sonia Kashuk Eyeshadow Palette in Eye On Neutral 02
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion
Milani Brow Tint Pen in Dark Brown 02

LIPS
NYX Butter Lip Balm in Panna Cotta

For my Mommy, since she kept telling me, "no too much make up", I cannot go overboard. I bought this BB Cream specifically for her; she basically only needs to use it as a moisturizer for the morning and she's good. This BB Cream has an SPF of 25 and it improves wrinkles and is able of whitening. My Mom has a lot of sun spots and such. This was able to conceal most of her blemishes, evened out her skin tone whilst giving her UV protection and moisturization. She wanted to stop here but pfffft, no.

My Mom has very little, thin lashes and eyebrows. I inherited my abundant of brows and moderate of lashes from my Daddy, thank goodness. I used her Milani Brow Tint Pen to shape her brows and a Glide-On Pencil to titghtline her upper waterline. These two steps she was totally fine with, because she actually does them herself. However, she wanted to stop there, but my Mom not only has hooded eyes, her eyes are also uneven. I used a couple of matte shadows to reshape her eyes up a little.

Finally I finished her off with a tinted lip balm. She has very dry lips and she's only used to wearing lip balms. Her lips are also very pigmented so I chose a shade that complimented her skin and bright up her lips a bit.

She was more than elated to be finished. She told me she doesn't understand how I can sit through that everyday. Hearing her say this... it saddens me and I realized that my Mom has sacrificed so much in her lifetime for the sake of her children so we can live comfortable lives. One of those things is her femininity... My Mom is very dedicated to our family, she is a loving, caring wife to my Daddy and an understanding, nurturing mother to my Brother and I.

From this point onward, I want her to live comfortably and not be burdened any longer. She deserves it more than anyone else I know. She is the best Mother I can ever ask for.  :'(
