Quick! From the top of your head, name a few things that comes to mind when I say the words "St. Patrick's Day". Annnnd GO!
Tic....toc...tic...toc...
Okay, so some of the things that immediately comes to mind are green, gold, pots of gold, leprechauns, the Irish flag, clovers... Those were mine. With that said, I'm pretty sure you can already guess a few things about today's manicure.
Well, I won't keep y'all waiting. :P My 2015 St. Patrick's Day inspired manicure!

Today's Make Up: "Lace" In "Anguilla"

It's Saturday guys, it's Saturday! What a glorious Saturday... What a busy day. :/ Only reason why I'm so excited is because it is the weekend, besides that, I'm so busy today. Gaaaaaaaaaaaawd. I cannot wait for dinner tonight. Me so hungry and haven't even had the time to eat yet.
Face is made today, completely made, the whole nine yards with foundation and blush and all that good stuff. I must say... I miss my hour long therapeutic makeup sessions a lot. I also miss the feeling of pampering myself  and dolling up.
Alrighty, so I woke up to gloomy, cloud weather today. Apparently the forecast predicted that Arizona, well, my area at least, will receive some rain today, tomorrow and Monday. Hmm, we shall see. Gimme all you've got rain! So why am I suddenly talking about the weather? Well, if you are a regular, you'll realize that I kinda base my makeup for the day on the weather. Dreary weathers like today calls for bright pick me uppers. The picker uppers in today's makeup mess are on my cheek and eyes. Babydoll pink cheeks, paired with sweet pink lips and subtle pop of colors on the eyes.

Throwback Thursday: Winter Face Routine & Products Used

Hello, hello my pretties. :) It is one b-e-a-utiful day here in the AZ... Well, in my area at least. Nice cloudy weather with the sun snuggled away in said clouds, MY kinda day, for sure.
I bring you another throwback post, this was actually my first ever entry... How my blog started out. It was of my Winter Skincare routine and the products I used. Even though it has been a whole year, or more, the products have not changed much. But I will definitely to an update entry in the near future... I should get going on that considering how Spring is um, fast creeping up on us, March to be exact but y'all know how fast time seems to fly by.
Anyways, when I do get around to the updated routine, I will post it for y'all asap. Waaaaaaait for it guys! :P
Hi guys! So winter hasn't officially started yet, it will on December 21st, but it sure already feels like it. Here in Arizona, we have been in the 55°F as the high and 35°F as the low with an average humidity of about 25%. Arizona has relatively dry weather year round where temperature can reach a startling high 115°F. However, no matter how hot, cold, dry or humid the weather can get, one thing that stays the same year round is my oily skin. The T-Zone is my problem area, if not only area. I've been into make-up for quite a while now, and have been watching Youtube beauty gurus for years; I have tried all of their tips and a whole lot of products to try to control the oily situation, but nothing helps.
After switching and mixing up products, I think I have finally found what works for my skin during the winter, control the oil but also keep my skin moisturized. Below I will list the products I currently use.

Today's Make Up: 2015 New Year

New Year's Eve greetings to you all!! By the time this is posted, some part of the world is already 2015. Regardless of what day it might be, this will be the last post of 2014 for me. Bitter sweet that 2014 is coming to an end.
So many things have happened in 2014, happy things, sad things, tragic... It's life. I spent 2014 being a 24 year old. Although I would not change my life, I would like to see change in 2015. I'll be a 25 year old, hoping to find love, be successful in my career, with better luck. I also met a few people that quickly became great friends with and one specific person whom I have become inseparable with. I hope that it'll work out and we end up being an item in 2015. :)
Mentioned in yesterday's post, my paternal grandmother passed away two nights ago and my heart have been in pain ever since. We weren't close in distance because she was in Vietnam and I in the U.S. but we didn't allow the ocean to separate us. I want to cry and just let it all out but in the midst of it all, my Daddy did lose his Mother also. My Father, being the Asian man that he is, isn't showing that he is sad or upset but it's unspoken, we all know that he is hurting deep down. He keeps telling us that Grandma would not want us to be upset and sulking over her death. She is now in a better place, no longer suffering. I was not feeling the New Year's Eve at all and wanted to skip out on the family gathering later tonight but Daddy insist that we all go and have fun. Even though I am not content with this I will do this for my Daddy.
Tonight will not be our usual family gathering but more of a New Year's party. Many family friends and acquaintances will be there so it's not like I am BS my makeup tonight. LOL. When I think of New Years, glitter and sparkles usually comes to mind immediately. Lots and lots of glitter. So that is exactly what I have packed on my eyes tonight.

Today's Make Up: Christmas 2014

Merry Christmas and happy festive day to each and everyone of yooooooou!! Hugs and kisses to all. :D
I hope y'all had an enjoyable morning. Did ya get everything on that Christmas wishlist? LOL. It was a crazy morning here at home; love, love, looove seeing my family happy. There is seriously no better feeling in the world. But right after the unwrappings, it was straight back to the kitchen for Mom and I. Lots of food preparations need to be done before dinner at 6 tonight but I have to leave my house at 4 so not much time left.
I just wanted to share with y'all what I will have on my face today. I haven't done my make up yet but I usually like to pick out what I'll wear beforehand to speed up the process. So yeah, will be on the face sometime later. :P

Today's Make Up: A "Narcissus" In The "Rose Garden"

Happy Friday my lovely readers and visitors, hope you're all having a fantastical day!! :D Now that Friday is almost or is forever, let's make way for the glorious weekend. Yeah? Okay, sounds good.
Another gloomy day here in the AZ, hoping hard for another rainfall but being the the rational Arizonan that I am, highly doubt that. But of course, feel free to prove me wrong you darn AZ weather! Give me raaaaaain!! Nonetheless, I shouldn't be complaining, the weather is so idealistic today. It's just one of those days where you open your eyes, look out the window and just know that it's gonna be a wonderful day. :) And a wonderful day it has been. Had lunch with the brother and did some more Christmas shopping; lots of memories in the making this time of year. I will surely miss times like this when we both are married and have out own families. LOL.
Any who, no lazy makeup today, I went all out. ;) And by all out, I mean the whole face and eyes. Pink is the color of choice today, because why? Haha, I mentioned a couple days ago, if not last week that when I am in a happy mood, pink immediately comes to mind. Pink lips with pink cheeks and kinda, sorta pink eyes to match! Let's get to it!

NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick in Narcissus
To contrast with the many days of sporting the no makeup bare face, today's face is a go to favorite. It's that bare face look with the luminous glow I have been raving about. In order to obtain the flawless canvas to create that "bare face" look, several products are needed. In order to achieve the poreless canvas, I used a pore filler on those areas. And for those pesky under eye dark circles, uneven skin tone and redness, nothing heavy duty concealers cannot fix. After the face has been flawlessly prepped, I used a mixture of BB Cream and a pump of Magic Lumi and applied that evenly onto my face with a damp sponge. After that, I just set with powder, contoured with bronzer and applied blush as always. Today's blush of choice is a dusty rosey shade called Rose Garden.
On the eyes, I went for a pinkish nude, complete with a winged brown liner. I then used Perversion to tight line my upper lash line. To balance the pink from my eyelids, I popped more pink on my lower lash line with Holika Holika Jewel-Light Under Eye Maker.
To finish off the pink on pink look, I went for bubble gum pink lips. I absolutely love these NYX Round Lipstick and can go on for daaaaaays about how amazing they are. Creamy, long lasting, moisturizing, pigmented, you get what you see, it's just all things amazing packed into this lipstick. Like I said, Narcissus is a bubble gum pink, vibrant in color and in my opinion, will look good with any skin tone.
Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. Y'all enjoy your weekend now and be safe! Stay warm while you're at it. Please come back soon!! :)

That was just dinner though, not our Thanksgiving dinner yet, that's later tonight. Shopping was a success, moving on to another mall for more action. I am running on two hours of "sleep".

Ugh... today has just been so crazy and hectic. I'm kinda either lost or cannot remember what I am to say. LOL. So I'll spare y'all an awkward post and just keep it simple and short. :P

Today's Make Up: Black Friday Ready Makeup

Although I am all about being grateful and giving thanks everyday and not just one day out of the year, it is however Thanksgiving Day. And what do we do on Thanksgiving Day besides eating to our heats' desire without feeling guilty? Haha. Yep, give thanks and be thankful.
This Thanksgiving, like all the others before, I am grateful for my family, my friends, my home, my life, being alive and healthy but this year, unlike others, I am thankful for you guys. All of you. :) I started my blog last December so this is the first Thanksgiving I am celebrating with y'all.
I'd like to take a moment to thank y'all whether you're a follower, a regular visitor or even a wanderer that happens to stumble upon my page. Whoever that takes their time to read what I have to say, I'd like to thank.  Each views means a whole lot to me because I know that someone, somewhere is reading what I say. That alone, means so much to me. So thank you!!
But anyways, even though it is Thanksgiving today, the family will not be having our dinner today. Yeah... I blame retail. :/ They're one upping one another and opening earlier and earlier, as early as 5 PM in my area. And of course, the sales are too sweet to pass up so my aunts are all going crazy. So we all agreed, albeit not happily, to move dinner until tomorrow night so they can go get their shops on today and tomorrow morning. There's no point in me just waiting around at home ya know... Imma be joining them, or rather, embark on my own journey. LOL.
Makeup today is long wearing and budge free, in other words, Black Friday ready makeup. ;)

Milani Shadow Eyez in Champagne Toast
Maybelline The Mega Plush Volume Express Mascara
LIPS
Peri Pera Peri's Tint Water in Pink Juice
Maybelline Baby Lips Crystal in Mirrored Mauve
I chose concealers that will not dry my skin out bu midnight. It will be one long night so I applied Brightening Peach to my under eyes to assure that I will look refreshed throughout the night. I mixed a bit of BB Cream and long lasting foundation to give me coverage without wearing too thick of face makeup. I also stayed away from products that has shine, glow or shimmer in risking looking like an oily disco ball by the end of the night. I used Instain as my blush of choice because I know this blush will not budge on me. Just a little will go a loooong way.
Eyes are kept as simple as can be. First with a primer to ensure no creasing and/or fading until I decide to remove it tomorrow morning. Then I swept Sin all over my eyelids, keeping the edges clean from corner to corner. Next I used Perversion to tight line my waterline and gave it a little flick at the outer corner. Then I used Champagne Toast to rim my entire lower lash line to create a wide eyed, awake illusion. This will definitely come in handy later tonight. Lastly I gave my lashes a good curl and coated them in mascara.
After giving my lips a good scrubba dub dub, I applied a moisturizing lip balm. Then I applied two coats of Pink Juice, allowing it to dry before topping off with Mirrored Mauve.
Wearing makeup for 24-ish hours can really take a toll on my skin. So to ensure that my face retain its moisture and not gets the life sucked outta em, I brought along a travel sized can of Avene Thermal Spring Water.
I wish everyone of you a Happy Thanksgiving. Spend it with your loved ones and make great memories. Please enjoy your weekend and be safe!
As always, thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. Please come back soon. :)

Today's Make Up: "Pink Peony" And A "Rose"

It's Wednesday guys!! D-1 until Thanksgiving!!!! Can you tell I am ecstatic?! Haha. I hope you're all enjoying your last day of work and/or school before the four day weekend. It is a necessary break if you ask me. :P

Much to my dissatisfaction, I was out doing last minute shopping for tomorrow's.. er.. Friday's dinner. Long story short, because all the shops and stores decided to one up each other and open earlier and earlier and the deals are too sweet to pass up on, we as a family decided to move 'Thanksgiving' dinner from tomorrow to Friday. So all of tomorrow and possibly Friday morning will be dedicated to shopping. Fun, fun!!

But anyways, the last minute shopping. I am a very punctual person; time is important to me. For me, arriving 15 minutes early is late. So if it were up to me, I will not wait until today to go out and make the final purchases. Unfortunately that is not up to me because my mom and aunts are the chiefs this year so they make the list, I am just the errand runner. The stores were PACKED! The streets were JAMMED. I was not in a good mood at all. It took me like and hour and 15 minutes to get to somewhere that it would normally take 20 minutes. It's pretty ridiculous.

Today's makeup, pink cheeks with matching pink lips and a pop of green on the eyes for fun. ;)

Today's Make Up: "Pink Peony" And A "Rose"

LIPS
Pixi Succulent Lip Twin in Pink Peony

Went for the luminous bare faced look again today. Haha. What's new? I feel like since I am a beauty blogger, I should be more experimental with my makeup but I honestly love this face makeup so much. It's so easy and simple to do yet makes me look very youthful. Adding to the mix are rosy cheeks. This Physicians Formula blush itself has a glow to it so it'll give my cheeks a glow along with providing the rosiness. I opted for a matte highlight to keep everything from glowing and radiating; there's a fine line between glowing and looking like a disco ball. LOL.

To pair with my bare faced, I went for clean neutral eyes. I didn't even sport my usual cat eyes because I wanted my cheeks and lips to be the focal point today. Since rose pink and green goes well together, I decided to add a hint of green to my lower lash line. Not too much, just a bit of color to keep things interesting.

The pink lips I kept talking about is a shade called Pink Peony. I picked this up in the clearance section at Target not too long ago and haven't really worn it much since, maybe three or four times at most. It's like a tinted lip balm with minimal shine to it. I fairly enjoy wearing it. It isn't tacky nor is it sticky on my lips, No special scent either. It does stain a little so do expect it to be a bit darker after it sets than when first applied it.

Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. Please come back soon! But do take the time to spend it with family and create ever lasting memories. Enjoy your holiday weekend y'all!! :)

Today's Make Up: "Blushing Rose" Of "Sultry"

Happy Friday all! Raise your hands if any of you is TGIFing with me!! Haha. As of today, we are six days away from Thanksgiving. Who is excited?! Everyone? Okay, good, I thought I was alone. LOL.

I motivated myself to run, run, run yesterday. That motivation was still lingering today as I started out my morning with a quick jog around the neighborhood because it was such a beautiful morning. I luckily got home in the neck of time before dark clouds started rolling in and the wind started picking up. Since then, my day has been smooth sailing, even with all the errands I had to run.

I have a slight headache and cramp at the moment but it's not enough to ruin my day... yet. Let's hope it doesn't get to that point.

Any who, pulled out my Lorac Pro palette that's been neglected for god knows how long. I still need to get my hands on the Lorac Mega Pro but I can do without it for now. It is definitely on my Christmas wishlist. :P

Today's Make Up: "Blushing Rose" Of "Sultry"

FACE

Etude House Tear Eyeliner in Silver Tear
Elizabeth Mott It's So Big Volumizing Mascara

LIPS
Revlon Color Burst Matte Balm in Sultry

I cannot get enough of this face you guys. This luminous bare face has been my go to all week if y'all have been keeping up. I used a mauvey-berry shade of blush today. These Jordana blushes are crazy pigmented so just a light dab of the brush is enough. Do not swirl it because that will not end well... Unless you're going for a clown look or something exotic.

My eyes are kept fairly simple, as always. I wanted to go for an especially large doll-like eyes today. I extended the liner far beyond my outer corner and used dark shadows to create am extended wing to create an illusion of large eyes. I added a bit of Tear Liner to the inner corner of my lower lash line to further give that innocent-like sparkle.

Sultry is the type of shade that I don't really sport because it makes me look older. It's just one of those shade I cannot pull off. However, I went all daredevil and wore this mauveish shade. I can't say I hate it, but it surely isn't a favorite. I love these type of balm stains for chilly days like today.

As the days become colder, the more moisture is sucked out of my skin. Ewww. Thank godness these Avene Thermal Spring Water are life savers. A quick mist and I am good to go. A full sized bottle at home and a travel size for on the go.

Y'all enjoy your weekend now. Stay safe and bundle up!! Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. Please do come back soon. :)

Today's Make Up: Amethyst Allure

HAPPY FRIDAY ALL!! We made it to the weekend guys.. finallllly. Hope you're all having a good day, because really, nothing should be stopping you from having a good day. :D

I am very thankful that the weather is gorgeous here in the AZ today because I have been out and about nearly all day. I'm finally home now but not for long. There is a dinner "date" I must attend so this post will be relatively short.

I do want to kinda touch base with y'all though. I was contacted by a rep from Julep and basically I will be bringing y'all something very exclusive sometime really soon. :P I am excited! I hope you guys are too!!

Anyways, on the face today... My gosh, I am super tired. I am nodding off as I type this. Not good, not good at all. But yeah, went for a blend of plum and amethyst today. I mentioned before but don't mind repeating myself, I am REALLY enjoying the plum for Fall. Now I can add amethyst to the list.

Today's Make Up: Amethyst Allure

Sugar Stick Cream Eyeshadow in Honey
Elizabeth Mott It's So Big Volumizing Mascara

LIPS

On the eyes, I am using the plumish-amethyst shades, second column from the left. To balance the plum up top, I used an emerald green on the bottom. I also used Honey in my inner corners to brighten up my eyes and not allow the plums to close them up.

That's it for today. I apologize that is it short and  uninformative. Sorry, so sorry! But y'all run along and enjoy yourselves a relaxing weekend now. Have fun and be safe!

Today's Make Up: All Things Plum

Maaaan oh man does it feel like Fall in Arizona today. Weather is definitely nice... a bit too chilly too soon but I guess I'll take it. Long sleeves, jackets, sweaters, jeans, boots and booties are all coming out really soon. Be sure to bundle up guys! Don't get cold and catch a cold. Ain't nobody got time to be sick. :P

Since the weather felt so Fall-ish today, it put me into a Fall color mood as well. The first color that jumps to mind today was plum, everything plum. Cause why not right? I'm in a plum mood, let's take it and run. Haha.

So on the face today, you'll see plum throughout. I can tell ya this, this shade has fast become a favorite. Plum and jewel-tone alike. Ahhh, pastels is to Spring as Earthy, jewel-tone is to Fall. Looove it!

Today's Make Up: All Things Plum

Covergirl Lash Blast Fusion Mascara

LIPS
Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in Backstage
Essence Lipstick in Sparkling Romance

Nothing special on the face at all but a little concealer for the under eyes cause I definitely need it. I haven't been able to sleep well lately; keep on tossing and turning and finally able to fall soundly asleep within 2 hours before I have to be up. I have no idea what's going on but my entire sleep schedule is out of whack. :/

On them eyes, I am giving Plum Frost another go. This time, I am using it both wet and dry and I must say, I really like it wet. Oh wow.. that last sentence just sounds dirty. Hahaha. ANY who... wearing Plum Frost really brings out the shadow, it's more pigmented and applies on much smoother. On my lower lash line, I applied Royalty on my outer corner and Pixie in my inner corner, allowing both shades to meet halfway and blending it out.

And lastly, on the lips I am sporting a plum color I usually shy away from. Y'all know me and my lip stains and keeping it light and natural. For today though, I ventured away from my comfort zone and went for dark lips. I first gave my lips a good scrubbing to rid of the dead skins and get the blood circulating. Then I generously applied a moisturizing lip balm because the lipstick I will be wearing is anything buy. Speaking of which, I am using Revlon's Ultimate Suede Lipstick in Backstage; I applied it all over making sure my entire lips is covered. Make sure nothing is on your teeth. LOL. Lastly, I applied Sparkling Romance to the center of my lower lip to create an illusion of fuller lips.

Thanks for stopping by and thank you for reading. Please come back soon! :)

Today's Make Up: A "Natural" "Golden Sunset"

Happy weekend all! How are y'all doing on this lovely first day of November?? Hope you all had a fantastic, memorable night. Oh... I know I did.

A friendly reminder that tomorrow, November 2nd will also be the end of Daylight Savings; which means that for those affected, you'll fall back an hour. As for me, living in Arizona, we do not take part in Daylight Savings, so fall back or spring forward, it doesn't affect me. LOL.

But anyways, some family friends are spending their weekends with us before flying home to Vancouver on Monday. So what better way than to commemorate with a family gathering with lots and lots of food. Always the food. We like food. Haha. With that said, there is lots to do, err, help prepare.

Reeeeeal quick, on the face today before I run off to help. Another rediscovered favorite on the eyes today. :P

It's been a while but I felt like using my bare Minerals foundation today as a full coverage setting powder today. I don't like using loose powders, that's why this has been out of reach for the longest while.

You can probably tell that I've had this Covergirl trio for a while because this was the older packaging. This is one of the first trios I purchased since getting back into makeup a couple years ago. Same with most products, I used this and only this for a while, got something else and slowly forgot about this until I found it this morning. I really need to check thoroughly everyday, when time permits, for products tucked away.

And finally, on the lips. I used a wine shade lip tint and topped off with a natural shade gloss.

Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. Enjoy your weekend! But please don't forget come back soon! :)
