Monday greetings you lovely people! :) I hope you all had a terrific weekend. Oh glorious weekend came and left like a whirlwind, and here we are back at Monday once again. But fret not, we are only four days away from the next weekend. LOL.
When Monday rolls around, basically the only reason that makes Monday manageable is that I get to switch up my manicure for the week. Yay for keeping it consistent!
Winter is nearing the end and this week's dark color is a farewell gesture. Technically Spring will not start until the 21st of March, but considering how next week is St. Patrick's Day, my nails will have something to do with that. After that, bring in the pretty pastels and lively vibrants because Spring will be in full Spring. Who is excited??
Hello, hello to you all. How are y'all doing on this Monday? Sooo yeah, y'all keep warm and be safe in this bipolar weather alright? Besides the blizzard in the northeast, AZ is actually experiencing a gloomy day ourselves, nothing too extreme but nonetheless something different.
So it is Monday, regulars would know what Monday means on my blog. LOL. Another week, another manicure. Last week, I sported blue nails, link is provided if you haven't already seen it; this week, this pretty jade color caught my eyes as I was going through my nail colors.
Isn't it just the most gorgeous shade of jade??? But of course, a simple white heart to contrast. :D
**I apologize for this late post. Although I composed this entry yesterday, I was preoccupied and had forgotten to schedule the publishing. So instead of doing a double published, I will publish this as yesterday's post as it was meant to be. I apologize for the confusion.**
Hello everyone... I hope you are all doing well. As for myself, I am typing up this post with an extreme heavy heart. If you are a regular, you may have remembered that back on the first of September, my non-related Grandmother had just passed. This morning, I was just informed that my paternal grandmother had just passed away in Vietnam. But more on that in a bit, I don't want to bring this entire post down.
Anyways, I had placed an order on Hautelook when I saw that Illamasqua was part of the event. I've heard many, many great things about this brand of nail lacquer and figured that I will be paying more than half the original price, I should pick up one or two to try out. Unfortunately, I was late for the event as it was nearing the end so all the desirable shades were all sold out. I was however, able to pick up one shade that I am really, really in love with.
Monday greetings everyone!! Last Monday of 2014, which coincidentally also means the last Manicure Monday post of 2014. Yep, just like that, another year is coming to an end and a new year is about to begin. Bitter sweet to see 2014 go and 2015 come, but so is life.
In honor of the last Monday, I wanted to use today's post to basically go through all of the manicures that happened this year. If you have some time, please feel free to go though the list. Let me know which ones you like; any you'll try out yourself?
I will post this week's manicure tomorrow or Wednesday, I know, it will be a late post but we gotta do what we gotta do. With that that said, after this post, I will see you all back here for another Manicure Monday official post in 2015.
Monday greetings to all my lovely Autumn blossoms. :) And just how are you all doing on this lovely Autumn day? The weather has really gotten cold Bundle up and keep warm my pretties! Don't want y'all to catch a cold now.
If you are a regular to my blog, you'll already know this but if you're a browser or a new follower, Monday's are usually, always manicure related. I usually switch up my nails on Monday and do a post entry about it. It's been a good while but today's entry will be an update rather than a new manicure. Why might you ask? Well, take a looksy below and you can probably understand why I couldn't bring myself to remove this manicure.
Yes, what you see here is not fresh paint, nope. This is one week old nails WITHOUT a top coat.
This is my first time using Pop Beauty's nail color so I didn't know what to expect. Usually, when I try out a new brand of nail color for the first time, I risk it and do not use top coats, for obvious reasons. I usually don't do update posts, not unless the nail color deserves recognition as an outstanding nail color. In my opinion, Pop Beauty does deserve a shout out! From the formula to the application to the long wearing, everything is a thumbs up in my book. I am glad I was able to pick this up from Hautelook for only $3. I will definitely keep my eyes on Hautelook for the next Pop Beauty event.
Pop Beauty Nail Glam Nail Polish in Pink Popsicle Sephora By OPINail Color in It’s Bouquet With Me
Just a reminder of how the fresh manicure looked like last week…
Not much of a difference I dare say. With the exception of my nails growing and the slight chipping at the tip. For the most part, no fading, no major chipping or anything of that sort. I think it is rather important to mention that I did NOT apply a top coat to this manicure, so all the props goes to Pop Beauty. I did however use a base coat, so for what it’s worth, the combination of drug store nail colors I used all can last for more than a week.
If you are interested in how I created this manicure, please feel free to visit my manicure post from last week called Pink Popsicle; just clicky click on the link and it should take you to said post.
That shall be it for today. Enjoy the rest of your night. As always, much appreciation for your visits and taking time to read. Enjoy the rest of your day now my pretties. Please do come back real soon. :)
Hello pretties, all my pretties, you pretties. Hahaha. I am in such a great mood today and I am not sure why! And I frankly don't need to know why!! :D
Switched up my nails today to a pretty pink. Pink is my happy color. I either wear it because I am in a great mood or I wear it to put me in a great mood. Today's choice of pink is called Pink Popsicle and it's from Pop Beauty. This is the first time I am using this ever since ordering it from Hautelook a while ago. I actually did a post about it, click here if you're interested.
I also used a glitter top coat from Sephora by OPI that I also ordered from Hautelook. You can also check that out above! :)
Pop Beauty Nail Glam Nail Polish in Pink PopsicleSephora By OPINail Color in It's Bouquet With Me
Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Diamond Shine Base & Top Coat
Pink Popsicle is a pretty pale pink shade. It is not too pale that it is almost white, but not too pink that it is bubble pink. Which is great because I own nothing like this shade. It is truly very beautiful.
The formula is very creamy and more on the runny side. Ya know how some nail colors can be a bit too thick and makes the application so much harder? Well this applies like a dream. Two thin coats and it is good to go. The shin is amazing as well; what you see in the pics above are its own shine, no top coat necessary. Dry time takes about 15 minutes for the first coat, and about half an hour for the second coat.
I am not really liking the glitter formula from Sephora by OPI, it is too watery for my liking. Unlike nail colors, I prefer my glitters to be more thick. This is not by any means a bad glitter; I can definitely use it for other things.
Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. Please come back soon! :)
I think I figured out why I was so sluggish yesterday. Uncle TOM and Aunt DOTTY came to visit! I usually don't get cramps, not one bit, not at all. They just come and go within a week. But this time, I've been cramping all morning and it's barely day one. I think I'm gonna cry... Needless to say, I'm not having a less than pleasant day.
So a couple of weeks ago, Sephora by OPI was featured on Hautelook again, I could not raesist and placed another order. This time, I bought twelve, but only eleven has arrived safely. I'm not quite sure what happened to the last one, but I'll wait a couple more days until I contact them.
I don't remember how much these are originally priced at, but I got all of these for $3 each. It's still a little pricey for nail colors but I guess I shouldn't complain since they are high end and the quality is amazing!

As you can probably see, I got mostly shades of purple. I think purple compliments my skin tone well and they're quite a sight to see when applied. As much as I adore the purple shades, I couldn't resist the brights. So yesterday, I did my manicure in those brights you see there which I ended up calling Fiery Passion.
These Sephora by OPIs can and will last up to a week even without a top coat. I have tried it before and it has not let me down anytime. The application makes me not dread doing my nails as it was very quick and effortless.
If you're interested in picking these up, they're usually up on Hautelook on Mondays for their #ManiMonday event. If you do decide to give these a try, I recommend getting their creme formulas, one coat and you're good to go.
Alright, hope ya'll enjoyed checking out those beauties. I am off to go walk off my cramp. It hurts so much.
Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. Come back soon! :)

SONG OF THE DAY
INFINITE IS BACK! And Sunggyu is killing me a little more each time I re-watch this MV... Why is he so sexy?
JYJ coming back?! Uh, yes please!!! Junsu's voice is to die for. Oh my gosh, this is gonna be one epic comeback. Counting the days until they drop their album and MV. Seven...and waiting.
It is yet another hot AND humid day in the AZ. Current temp is 101 degrees (38.33 °C) with 38% humidity and only 20% of precipitation. Yesterday around 6 PM, the skies were covered in dark black clouds, but guess what, we received like two droplets of rain from that. The sky looks like that again today... So I'm not sure how it's gonna go down later. Rain or not, the humidity is killing me, might as well let there be rain. Crossing my fingers. I love the rain, especially love to look at it from my window. I think it's rather romantic.
I've made it quite obvious that I am a HUGE fan of Sinful Colors. There has not been a single shade I dislike from them, and that's saying a lot. Sinful Colors have many finishes, all with the same formula and consistency. I love Sinful Colors so much, every time I see a new collection on display, I can't help but pick up a few. Without even realizing it, I soon accumulated quite the collection. It's nothing big or impressive, and I am by no means bragging. I just simple wanna share with you all these super pretty shades. Maybe some will catch your eyes and will end up picking 'em up.
After poking around and doing some research, there are apparently 12 principal nail polish finishes.
Creme
Duo-Chrome
Frost
Glitter
Iridescent
Lustre
Matte
Micro-Glitter
Micro-Shimmer
Opalescent
Prismatic
Shimmer
With that said, being the versatile brand that Sinful Colors is, they produce most of these finish; I have yet to see Duo-Chrome, Iridescent or Opalescent, I could be wrong. Of these finishes, I own five of the finishes, cremes being the most abundant and matte in last place with only one.
No matter what the finish comes out to be, in my opinion, I feel like the formulas are all the same. The nail color isn't too watery nor is it too thick so that eliminates the streakiness and skips that other dry formulas can do or the polish running off to the sides like watery ones. If applied in a thick coat, these polishes will be opaque enough equivalent to two coats from other brands. The drying time is pretty quick I must say, probably no more than two minutes. Once the nail color is applied, it's guaranteed to stay own with no chips for at least a week. I have worn these with and without top coats and even without top coats, they fend well on their own. I actually wore Rise & Shine for two weeks as a review.
I've worn Prismatic Micro-Glitter and Lustres alone and on top of other colors. If they're worn alone, you'll need to apply two or more layers in order for it to show its color. When worn on top of other colors, one coat is enough to see the micro-glitter.
Probably my least favorite finish from Sinful Colors is the matte one. I don't know it it's just me, but this matte did not last me. Like, it started shipping the day after it was applied. Everything just went downhill from there.
Below are every bottle of Sinful Colors I own, separated into the finish, alphabetized for your convenient. Go ahead and check them out. Let me know which one caught your eyes. Or if you've already tried Sinful Colors, which shades are your favorite. I'd love to pick up more shades in the future, it's good that they're available at many stores and for an affordable price.

Tuesday greetings everyone! We're almost there guys, just a couple more days until the weekend. Imma go swimming on Friday so I definitely have something to look forward to. How are you all doing?
Have you checked out my Mani Monday post from yesterday yet? I used the Sephora by OPI for the first time. Which is what this post is about today. Sephora by OPI was on Hautelook a couple of weeks back for $3 each. I'm not entirely sure, but the "original" priced listed was for $15 or $18; either way, I picked up five which only costed me $15. There were probably twelve or fifteen shades available for sale but by the time I got to it, five or six shades were already sold out. The five shades I did pick up were my favorite from the bunch. Thinking back, I should have bought a couple more...maybe next time.
left to right: A True Romantic, Seeing Pink Elephants, Handpicked for Me, Mermaid to Order, Go My Own Way
A True Romantic and Seeing Pink Elephants are cremes while Handpicked for Me, Mermaid to Order and Go My Own Way are shimmers.
Although this was my first time using Sephora by OPI, I have very high expectations for this because I have heard nothing but praises about 'em. I am preeeetty excited to try them out myself. From what I can see from the swatches, the formula of these polishes are very thin, thinner than what I'm used to. They apply evenly without streaking and they dry super fast!
The shimmers are fairly sheer. With just one coat, you can absolutely still see your nails underneath. It's basically a tint. With two coats, there's more color to it, but you can still see the nails underneath. I used three coats to achieve the right amount of color and I can no longer see my nails underneath. Please keep in mind that I do paint a thin coat each time, they dry faster than thick coats.
The cremes are a little thicker than the shimmers but it is still not nearly as thick as other polishes. These too, like the shimmers, apply evenly with each strokes and does not streak either. The cremes dry a tad slower than the shimmers but overall, it is still quick if compared to other brands. From what I can see from my swatches, I can probably be satisfied with just one coat because it is super opaque.
I used Handpicked for Me yesterday and I am super pleased. The color is so fresh and paired with my freshly trimmed nails, it looks super neat and clean. The pinkish lilac color works great with my skin tone and I think it'll look great with many ranges of skin tones. It creates a great contrast pop that adds color to the nail, a high maintenance look without the effort.
I have yet to wear or swatch Mermaid to Order and Go My Own Way on my nails so I really cannot tell you yet how it looks with my skin tone. Mermaid to Order is a greenish teal that glistens and shimmers when it catches the light. As for Go My Own Way, it's a grayish navy blue. It's shimmery but does not so much reflects the light like how Mermaid to Order and Handpicked for Me does. I think shades like this are perfect for the toes.
Seeing Pink Elephants is a true bubble gum pink. It is pink, it is creme, it is opaque, it is in your face. A classic color any nail enthusiast must include in their collection. A True Romantic is a whitish cream shade that is very professional. With one thin coat, this polish can be sheer. It just so happens that sheer nail are in for Spring. Yippee!
Hopefully this post helped out those who are reluctant in trying Sephora by OPI or those who wanted to try these shades. What shades would you like to see next?Comment down below.
Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading guys! :)
