Manicure Monday: A Heart of "Jazzy Jade"

Hello, hello to you all. How are y'all doing on this Monday? Sooo yeah, y'all keep warm and be safe in this bipolar weather alright? Besides the blizzard in the northeast, AZ is actually experiencing a gloomy day ourselves, nothing too extreme but nonetheless something different.
So it is Monday, regulars would know what Monday means on my blog. LOL. Another week, another manicure. Last week, I sported blue nails, link is provided if you haven't already seen it; this week, this pretty jade color caught my eyes as I was going through my nail colors.
Manicure Monday: A Heart of "Jazzy Jade"
Isn't it just the most gorgeous shade of jade??? But of course, a simple white heart to contrast. :D

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Smooth & Strong Base Coat
First and foremost, I cut and neatly trimmed my nails to keep em short because that is how I prefer em in the Winter. Then I used my always trusted base coat, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Smooth & Strong Base Coat to ensure that my nails will grow healthy and strong all the while is protected from the nail color that will go on in a bit.
Looooove this base coat so much. The formula is super thin so application is a breeze. I also like how the dry time is almost immediate.
So for Jazzy Jade, I applied two thin coats for the final look. The first coat, the nail color applied rather streaky. So with this nail color, a second coat wasn't at all optional. While applying the second coat, I used a tad more nail color than the first, but not as much that it becomes a thick coat, and I also used a very light hand, not to push too hard or the nail color will start picking up the first coat and everything will just become a mess.
Without a doubt, the two coats took forever to dry!! It took about 15 minutes for the manicure to become tacky and another 30 minutes for it to be hardened enough for me to draw on the hearts. Even so, my nails remained very sensitive for the rest of the day, the slightest slip will put a nick or dent into it.
Annnyways, I am off to go work out now. Wish me luck!! :( This is the first time in like 3 weeks... It'll suck so bad. But it's got to be done!
Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. Y'all enjoy the rest of your day now and please don't forget to come back soon. :)
