Manicure Monday: Sapphire Siren

Monday greetings you lovely people! :) I hope you all had a terrific weekend. Oh glorious weekend came and left like a whirlwind, and here we are back at Monday once again. But fret not, we are only four days away from the next weekend. LOL.
When Monday rolls around, basically the only reason that makes Monday manageable is that I get to switch up my manicure for the week. Yay for keeping it consistent!
Winter is nearing the end and this week's dark color is a farewell gesture. Technically Spring will not start until the 21st of March, but considering how next week is St. Patrick's Day, my nails will have something to do with that. After that, bring in the pretty pastels and lively vibrants because Spring will be in full Spring. Who is excited??
Manicure Monday: Sapphire Siren

Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer in Sapphire Siren
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Smooth & Strong Base Coat
As you can see, the dark color of choice is a b-e-a-utiful sapphire blue, happened to be called Sapphire Siren. Isn't it just the more gorgeous shade of blue? So gorgeous that I had to pick it up as soon as I laid eyes on it, making it the only Color Show Nail Lacquer I own. The formula and longevity of it doesn't impress me that I felt the need to purchase more of.
Going into details, I like that the nail lacquer is very liquidy, making the application easier. The level of pigmentation is average at best, sheer with one coat and total coverage with two, like my nails from up top. The dry time is a game of endless waiting, making it the main reason why I have not purchased any other. Even after the nail is "dried", it will remain very soft, so if you were to accidentally touch it or rub it, the who nail will be messed up. Even after the nail is done "setting", it chips waaaay too easily. Ya see that little wittle nick on my thumb? Yeah, after like 3 hours of application, I went to go wash the dishes and a dish scraped against my nail leaving that nick. I immediately applied a top coat, hoping that will help prolong my manicure until next week.
Oh yes, about how I did my thumb and ring finger, I just free handed it. 8-) I think it's pretty self explanatory how it was created. But if you want a more precise line, use tape or a rubber band. I just got lazy and did it free hand, turned out well I must say so myself. Haha.
Y'all enjoy your night now. Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. Please come back soon. :)
