Sunday Mask: DIY Strawberry, Honey Mask

Hello Sunday everyone! Welcome back again for another DIY mask recipe. This week, our main ingredient are strawberriesMmhmm, yummy. My Mom went to Sprouts Farmers' Market and bought some fresh, juicy, ripe strawberries. I was snacking on this all weekend but there are still some left so I decided to make a mask out of it.
Strawberries are currently in season so this is definitely the best time to do masks as such  because you're totally ensured that you'll get 100% out of the fruit. Strawberries are packed with Vitamin C, salicylic acid, antioxidants, alpha hydroxy acids and ellagic acids. Such properties helps with the immune system if orally ingested and the skin if applied, either with the juice or the whole fruitStrawberries may help with slight hyper pigmentation, acne, puffiness under the eyes and an overall excellent exfoliant among others.
DIY STRAWBERRY MASK
What you'll need:
- 8 - 9 fresh, ripe Strawberries
- 3 tablespoons of Honey
- 1 tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (optional)
- 1/2 - 1 tablespoon of Lemon Juice (optional)

What to do:
- In a clean bowl, smash the ripen strawberries using a fork or spoon.
- When the strawberries are all smashed, add in the honey, then mix well.
-- You can either stop here and apply the mask right now... or add more ingredients.
- Add the olive oil to the mix and continue to stir.
- Lastly, add in the lemon juice1/2 tablespoon for dry skin and 1 tablespoon for oily skin
- Mix, mix, mix until everything is well blended.
**A ripe strawberry should be fairly easy to smash, if you cannot smash your strawberry with a fork or spoon, chances are your strawberries are unripened.
How to use it:
This mask may be a little runny, so be sure to sit or lie down before applying the mask.
- On a clean face, apply the mask using clean fingers or a clean brush.
- Let it sit for about 15 minutes.
- Rinse with warm or cool water.
Pat dry with a towel.
It's that easy guys, but it'll help your skin so much. Take a little time out to beautify and pamper yourselves to ready you for the next upcoming week. I hope you enjoyed this recipe and please do come back again. Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading! :)
