Be A Bombshell Eyeshadow Quad in Bora Bora

Gooooood Tuesday everyone! Hope you're all having a fine, jolly day.
Today's post is all about the Be A Bombshell Eyeshadow Quad in Bora Bora, which I had receive in my March iPsy Bag. I also mentioned in my March iPsy Bag Update that I was going to dedicate a whole post for this product because it deserves it. So here goes.
This is an Eyeshadow Quad called Bora Bora from Be A Bombshell. It consists of four shimmery eyeshadows; all four shades very different from each other.
My initial reaction as soon as I saw this quad was "Oh my gosh, that blue-ish shadow is gorgeous!" And I was right to think so, that shadow is called Bora Bora, also what the whole quad is titled. Meaning it is the main star while the other three are just supporting shadows. I didn't get around to use it maybe after a week or so. I was deathly sick and wearing bold shadows was not worth the effort put forth. Anyways, when I did use it, I was in a series of mixed emotions...? I've used others Be A Bombshell products before and they're all hits for the most part. I went in having high hopes for this quad, but I was also bracing myself if it didn't live up to my expectation.
Bora Bora Names

As soon as I dipped my flat brush into Risky Business and I was honestly surprised how creamy and easy it was to pick up. I packed the shadow onto my lids and inner corner and I couldn't believe it... The gold was actually gold on my lids too. The more you pack, the golder it is. Obviously in the inner corner, I didn't pack it on but used it very lightly and sheered it out. Next up, I used Starlet on my outer V and crease, it was a super pretty bronze, dark enough to give me depth yet not too dark that it looks muddy. Does that make sense? I was super excited to use Bora Bora, so I pop that on my lids for a pop. It's such a vibrant color. Lastly, I took Rock Bottom and blended it out in my crease where Starlet was to warm the look up a bit.
I've worn the quad using all four of the shadows, used three, even two. You can easily create many looks with just these four shades. I especially like how these shades are buildable. Use with a light hand and it'll give you a fresh day look, use it with a heavy hand and that will give you a sexy night look, not to mention the bright shade can create a vibrant Spring look. I mentioned in the update post that this is travel friendly, I still stand by that. The quad itself is very compact and takes up little to no room. Pop this into your make up bag and it'll give you nude, smokey or bright eyes.
I am mostly in love with the formula. When I swatched them, my fingers felt as if they were being dipped into a tub of butter. I mean, it is crazy how soft and creamy they are. They're so creamy you can probably use your fingers to apply and blend, no brushes needed. There are also more fall outs than I would like, but it's nothing excessive. All in all, it certainly is not the best formula I've tried, that would be going too far. But it definitely is far, far from the worst I've tried. I'll just say these shadows are a bar above average.  But for $16, you would expect this much. That's a little pricey in my opinion.

The bottom line is, I do not recommend this to anyone new/ just getting started with make up or anyone on a budget. I feel like there are countless other products out there cheaper than $16 and the formula is on the same level, if not better. Might I recommend looking into Wet N Wild trios and the eyeshadows in general. However, I do recommend this to anyone looking for a versatile quad that can easily give you different looks that is very compact, easy to apply. It definitely isn't a must have quad to add to your collection, but it's also nice to have on hand.  Of course, if you think that this quad is a must have, feel free to purchase it here.
You all enjoy the rest of your day now. Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading! :)

** This was copied and pasted with minor revision from an original post by myself a while ago.  I apologize about the repost but I figured when I first posted this entry, my blog wasn’t as wide spread as it is now. This time around, I have more followers and more platforms to share it on. Only a couple more days left with the Baby before her Grandma comes back. Definitely bittersweet to not babysit her anymore; I'll be able get work done but I will miss her dearly. :(  **
