I kept my promise this month. I remembered to do an update post on my February iPsy Bag. Here goes.
IPKN NY Moist & Firm BB in Light
My first reaction as soon as I squeezed the cream out of the tube, "What the....isn't this too dark?...this is a light?!" Yep, pretty much that. Not only was it a little too dark, it was way too yellow, even for my skin tone. A little goes a long way, because a tiny, tiny dot was able to cover my whole face. The cream was very runny and liquidy yet thick, even for a BB Cream, so it was super easy to blend. After blending it out, really well, it blended and started to match my skin tone. I had to top it off with light powder to balance out. It worked, but not completely to my satisfaction. I think I'll gives this another try once summer comes and I'm a tad tanner than I am now. I only have one major worry about using this during the peak of summer though, there's a high chance it might turn me into a grease ball because the cream is too thick. If it works out, I would have no complaint about this BB Cream. For the two weeks that I've been using this, it didn't make me too oily, it didn't break me out. What I've began to do though, is use it as a sort of concealer, only using it in areas needing so like under eyes or dark spots or acne scar instead of all over.

City Color Be Matte Blush in Fresh Melon
I'm always on the lookout for a good blush, especially from a brand I don't know about. City Color is now on my radar of potential brands to look out for. This blush is seriously no joke. The intensity, the creaminess of the powder, the amount of product in the pan for the price they offer. I am speechless, because this blush took me by surprise. It's fast become by favorite blush; I've used it everyday since. This blush reminds me a lot of Wet N Wild Blushers, and you know how much I love them Blushers.

Tini Beauty Eyetini Cordial Cream Shadow + Base in One in Ambrosia
I admit, I was initially disappointed when I received this product in my bag. I'm old fashioned when it comes to eyeshadow to be honest. I like my eyeshadows own their own, with no base or what not mixed into it. I would never buy a product like this on my own, so I'm glad I got it in my bag to try out. I used this with and without a primer, when using with a primer, it flakes and it's just a mess. So when using this, I prefer to go without a primer, surprisingly it did not creased at all on my oily lids. I used it on its own and as a base, it works great for both. I haven't tried blending it out with a brush yet, I've been using my fingers and this shadow is so creamy and blendable. The color I got is a bronzey-copper shade, soooo beautiful. Products like these are the reasons why I subscribe to iPsy.

Pop Beauty Plump Pout Mini in Peony Petal
Disappointment number two was this Plump Pout. I don't like lip gloss-like products. I've mentioned this in numerous posts before. However, being a make up maniac, I am all about trying new things. I'll honestly admit it here, I don't own any lip plumper products because I don't find that useful for me. This Plump Pout not only is a lip plumper, it's also a gloss. Yippee...

To my surprise, this doesn't really feel like a gloss. It was more like a high shine lipstick that's slightly tackier than most. At this point, I was not as disappointed about receiving this product, I was more disappointed about the shade I received. iPsy subscribers had two shade they could have received, a pinkier shade called Fuschia Freesia or the shade I got, Peony Petal, a rosy- berry color. It is a beautiful color, but it's not one that I wear normally; the pinkier one would have been a better match. I tried this on with and without lip balms, it glides on easier with a lip balm and it doesn't dry my lips out as much.
"This plumping pout perfector combines the high-shine of a lacquered gloss with the long wear of a stain and is packed full of lip-plumping peptides and avocado and jojoba oils. Lightweight, creamy texture immediately merges with lips & delivers intense glossy color for an extremely long-lasting finish!" Yes, this is indeed glossy, when you first apply it. Unfortunately, the gloss will fade as hours pass and by midday, you'll be left with matte lips. I did not feel any tingliness nor did I see my lips become more "plumped". Lightweight, yes; creamy, yes; extremely long-lasting finish, no. To me, this is just another lip gloss that's over priced. For $16, I can definitely find a drug store lip gloss that's "lightweight, creamy and long lasting" for half the price like Revlon. Lastly, there is a slight foul smell to it. It's not too bothersome for me, but if you're really sensitive, I can see this as being a major problem. Overall, this is a usable product, not something I will reach for often, but I won't throw it out. Or maybe I can just give it away.
I apologize if the review is a little all over the place. I'm trying to post it before I leave in give minutes. If anything, I'll go back tomorrow to fix and/or add more details. Thank you for reading as always. :)
