Today's Make Up: Ambrosia

Hello all, we meet again on yet another Wednesday. How are you all doing? Well I am hoping. Doing pretty well on my end, just busy, which is good. Holiday shopping has officially begun for me!! What an exciting time of year don't you think so?? After all the presents are bought or made, time for the fun part, gettin' crafty with wrappings. LOL. I don't know about y'all, but I sure do enjoy wrapping gifts.
I love how the holiday decorations are up and music blaring everywhere I go. Starbucks, donut shops, other coffee shops and even fast food restaurants offering some sort of Peppermint drink. Ahhh, definitely favorite time of the year. :) Even though it is freezing cold, my heart is all warm and fuzzy. Haha. Wishing I have someone special to share these moments with; another year celebrating it alone... But it's okay. Happy thoughts, joyous thoughts. :D
Brother is officially done with this semester so we will spend much of our time together. Yay for sibling bonding time! Of course we started our day with lunch then started the shopping. Lunch is needed.
I was in yet another lazy mood today, surprise, surprise. LOL. The cold is the enemy and my bed is heaven. Warm bed of clouds win every time. Every. Time. I wake up when the alarm goes off but cannot bring myself to brave the cold so I lay there until it is way too late to even get ready. Haha... Hence the lazy makeup again. As a beauty blogger, this is a big no. no. :/ But yes, barely anything on the face or eyes and nude lips to go with it. Going for natural y'all.
Today's Make Up: Ambrosia
FACE
Neutrogena Healthy Skin 3-in-1 Concealer For Eyes in Buff
NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny
Hard Candy Baked Bronzer in Tiki
EYES
Milani Brow & Eye Highlighters in Matte Cream/Luminous Lift
Tini Beauty Eyetini Cordial Cream Shadow + Base in One in Ambrosia
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eyepencil in Perversion
ELF Studio Waterproof Eyeliner Crayon in Champagne
Covergirl Lash Blast Fusion Mascara
LIPS
the Balm Stainiac in Beauty Queen
BH Cosmetics Creme Luxe Lipstick in Forever Nude
I could not sleep last night so the dark circles under them eyes.. Nothing a few dab of concealer cannot fix. I had some instant noodle last night, leaving my face a bit swollen this morning. Fear not! Bronzer  and highlight to the rescue!! A little contour here and sculpting there, some highlighting here and there and viola!
On the eyes, I used Eyetini Cream Shadow all over my lids for a little color. Then I lined and tight lined my eyes with Perversion. Added a little pop of Champagne on my lower lash line before coating my lashes with mascara.
For my nude lips, I first applied Stainiac for that red tint in my inner lips before applying Forever Nude all over my lips as I would with any other lipstick.
Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. Y'all enjoy the rest of your day now. Please come back soon! :)

Today's Make Up: Windy Wednesday

Hey there... how you doin? It is yet another fine day, a very windy day in Arizona. Another day, another made up face. So what's on your face today?

My make up today is wind proof, meaning nothing on my face is tacky or sticky. I don't know about you, but windy days, bold creamy lipsticks and long loose hair just does not mix. My hair would fly all over my face and stick to my lips then pull the lip color and transfer the color all over making my face into a map.

Today's Make Up: Windy Wednesday

And just like that, we're about to end Wednesday. Can time fly any faster? Zoom, zoom...we start April next week. Sigh, slow down time, slow down just a bit.

Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. :)

February iPsy Bag: The Look of Love Update

I kept my promise this month. I remembered to do an update post on my February iPsy Bag. Here goes.
IPKN NY Moist & Firm BB in Light
My first reaction as soon as I squeezed the cream out of the tube, "What the....isn't this too dark?...this is a light?!" Yep, pretty much that. Not only was it a little too dark, it was way too yellow, even for my skin tone. A little goes a long way, because a tiny, tiny dot was able to cover my whole face. The cream was very runny and liquidy yet thick, even for a BB Cream, so it was super easy to blend. After blending it out, really well, it blended and started to match my skin tone. I had to top it off with light powder to balance out.  It worked, but not completely to my satisfaction. I think I'll gives this another try once summer comes and I'm a tad tanner than I am now. I only have one major worry about using this during the peak of summer though, there's a high chance it might turn me into a grease ball because the cream is too thick. If it works out, I would have no complaint about this BB Cream. For the two weeks that I've been using this, it didn't make me too oily, it didn't break me out.  What I've began to do though, is use it as a sort of concealer, only using it in areas needing so like under eyes or dark spots or acne scar instead of all over.
City Color Be Matte Blush in Fresh Melon
I'm always on the lookout for a good blush, especially from a brand I don't know about. City Color is now on my radar of potential brands to look out for. This blush is seriously no joke. The intensity, the creaminess of the powder, the amount of product in the pan for the price they offer. I am speechless, because this blush took me by surprise. It's fast become by favorite blush; I've used it everyday since. This blush reminds me a lot of Wet N Wild Blushers, and you know how much I love them Blushers.
Tini Beauty Eyetini Cordial Cream Shadow + Base in One in Ambrosia
I admit, I was initially disappointed when I received this product in my bag. I'm old fashioned when it comes to eyeshadow to be honest. I like my eyeshadows own their own, with no base or what not mixed into it. I would never buy a product like this on my own, so I'm glad I got it in my bag to try out. I used this with and without a primer, when using with a primer, it flakes and it's just a mess. So when using this, I prefer to go without a primer, surprisingly it did not creased at all on my oily lids. I used it on its own and as a base, it works great for both. I haven't tried blending it out with a brush yet, I've been using my fingers and this shadow is so creamy and blendable. The color I got is a bronzey-copper shade, soooo beautiful. Products like these are the reasons why I subscribe to iPsy.
Pop Beauty Plump Pout Mini in Peony Petal
Disappointment number two was this Plump Pout. I don't like lip gloss-like products. I've mentioned this in numerous posts before. However, being a make up maniac, I am all about trying new things. I'll honestly admit it here, I don't own any lip plumper products because I don't find that useful for me. This Plump Pout not only is a lip plumper, it's also a gloss. Yippee...
To my surprise, this doesn't really feel like a gloss. It was more like a high shine lipstick that's slightly tackier than most. At this point, I was not as disappointed about receiving this product, I was more disappointed about the shade I received. iPsy subscribers had two shade they could have received, a pinkier shade called Fuschia Freesia or the shade I got, Peony Petal, a rosy- berry color. It is a beautiful color, but it's not one that I wear normally; the pinkier one would have been a better match. I tried this on with and without lip balms, it glides on easier with a lip balm and it doesn't dry my lips out as much.
"This plumping pout perfector combines the high-shine of a lacquered gloss with the long wear of a stain and is packed full of lip-plumping peptides and avocado and jojoba oils. Lightweight, creamy texture immediately merges with lips & delivers intense glossy color for an extremely long-lasting finish!" Yes, this is indeed glossy, when you first apply it. Unfortunately, the gloss will fade as hours pass and by midday, you'll be left with matte lips. I did not feel any tingliness nor did I see my lips become more "plumped". Lightweight, yes; creamy, yes; extremely long-lasting finish, no. To me, this is just another lip gloss that's over priced. For $16, I can definitely find a drug store lip gloss that's "lightweight, creamy and long lasting" for half the price like Revlon. Lastly, there is a slight foul smell to it. It's not too bothersome for me, but if you're really sensitive, I can see this as being a major problem. Overall, this is a usable product, not something I will reach for often, but I won't throw it out. Or maybe I can just give it away.
I apologize if the review is a little all over the place. I'm trying to post it before I leave in give minutes. If anything, I'll go back tomorrow to fix and/or add more details. Thank you for reading as always. :)

February iPsy Bag: The Look of Love

My gosh, has it really been a month already? It just seemed like yesterday and some days ago that I was writing about the January Bag. But anyway, my February bag actually came last week, but there was a mishap with the Zoya nail polish, sigh, such a shame. But no use to cry over spill nail polish because they sent me a replacement bag and that came yesterday!
To no surprise, this month's theme is Valentine's Day, iPsy called it, The Look of Love.
February iPsy Bag: Look of Love
This month's V-Day themed bag include:
Pop Beauty Plump Pout Mini in shade Peony Petal (Full Size)
Zoya Nail Polish in Dot (Full Size)
City Color Be Matte Blush in Fresh Melon (Full Size)
Tini Beauty Eyetini Cordial Cream Shadow + Base in One in Ambrosia (Full Size)
IPKN NY Moist and Firm BB in Light (Sample)
I am super excited I finally get to try IPKN's new BB cream! IPKN stands for Independent Professional Knowledgeable New Yorker; I do believe it is a Korean brand just pursuing the New York Style.  I've only seen this brand on sites selling Korean make up, so this is the first time I see it elsewhere. I am always on the hunt for a good BB cream, and this claims to moisturize, heals damaged skin cells and scars, leaves a non-sticky matte feeling with no powder necessary. Hmm...interesting. Upon reading further into this product, I am getting mixed reviews, some says it is too yellow, orange and dark for their skin tone even though it was a Light, another had an allergic reaction to it, making her skin "itch like crazy". Nothing better than to test it out myself.
Heard nothing but good feedbacks with City Color. I am crossing my fingers and hoping that the blush will show up on my skin as it does in the pan. The color is just so beautiful!
I first heard of Tini Beauty through iPsy. What I got is basically a "revolutionary formula" of a cream shadow with a primer in one.  This claim really intrigues me and makes me really antsy to try it out. "sets to a transfer-resistant finish that doubles as a wear-extending base under powder shadow". We. Shall. See.
I'm a huge fan of Pop Beauty, but not so much of
lip plumpers. I'm not too crazy to try this out even though this "pout perfector" claims to combine "high-shine of a lacquered gloss with the long wear of a stain and is packed full of lip-plumping peptides". This just isn't my thing, but I will still try it out to see if it lives up to its claim. I got shade Peony Petal, the darker shad of the two that iPsy subscriber could have received.

I own a few Zoya nail polishes, love all the shades, love how it applies. I really like the color that I got. Maybe I will wear this this week. Check up my upcoming Manicure Monday post to see if I do.
Reason why my February iPsy was delayed...sigh...such a waste!
