August iPsy Bag: Beauty Schooled

Hello everyone! Hope you're all having an extraordinary day, like always. :P

I am having a more than perfect day. Arizona finally received lots amount of rain this morning and still going! The temperature dropped dramatically, as did the humidity spiked but whateve. Ya win some, ya lose some. I just cannot get over how beautiful the sky is today. Just wow... The weather did prevent me to go out and getting a few things done, but it's alright, I can do it on another day when it's sunny out, which is like 364 days in Arizona.

August is the back to school season, with that said, this month's bag is called Beauty Schooled. I received five products in my bag this month. I am not one bit disappointed in any of the products I received, which is a rarity. Please keep in mind that this is just a first impression type post, I will not go into details yet, in a few weeks to a month later, I will do an update post. Please stay tuned if you're interested to see any of these products reviewed.

Dr. Brandt Pores No More Pore Refiner - Sample

Suuuuuper glad I got this in my bag this month. I received this sample when I ordered the Microdermabrasion a couple months ago and fell in love with it the moment I first applied it. I don't have extremely large pores, but it is not invisible either. This primer not only evened out my pores to create a smooth surface, but it made my foundation/BB Cream glide on with ease. As much as I loved it, I was rather hesitant to purchase it though, $45 for a primer is NOT the dealio. Glad I have another sample to sparingly use.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara - Sample

There was sooo much hype about this mascara as soon as it was unveiled. I've heard mostly good things about it. I was itching to make a purchase but luckily I held out because now, I get to try it out. Has anyone tried this yet? Let me know in the comments please. I'm expecting something great, because rarely has Urban Decay let me down. A minor problem though, Arizona has been experiencing lots of humidity lately and this mascara is not waterproof. I'm worried it might smudge on me, making me look like a raccoon mid-day.

J. Cat Beauty Flying Solo Eyeshadow in Half Naked - Full Size

More eyeshadow? Yes please! J. Cat Beauty though... they're a hit and miss brand for me. I did not like their lipstick, which I also received in an iPsy bag. The shade iPster got is called Half Naked, a soft brown with gold shimmers. From the pot, it looks absolutely gorgeous; do not know if that will be the case once I apply it. If I am lucky and this shadow is bombdiggity, this color will show up on my quite nicely. Of course I have not used or swatched anything yet so I cannot tell ya how it is. I'll get on it this week.

Jersey Shore Sun Mongongo Lip Conditioner - Full Size

Lip balms are a MUST have for me year round. I don't care if it is 120 degrees outside, my lips will crack and I need them. It is quite an ill obsession. Every time I receive a lip balm product in my bag, I rejoice. More love for them pouters.

I've never heard of Jersey Shore Sun before..? I'm going in without any expectations. But hey, it's a lip balm, nothing too complicated. It'll either work or not.

Klorane Dry Shampoo With Oat Milk - Sample (or travel sized)

Ooooh, new dry shampoo to try out! I love my dry shampoos, they are a life saver! I wash my hair every other day and my hair get's greasy fast, especially in the Summer. I've used a lot of dry shampoo but the only one I consistently come back to has been the Salon Grafix one. Klorane is a good brand, I know because I've used their hair masks and shampoos before. They're all about natural ingredients, no chemicals and all that bad stuff. Now this dry shampoo has oat milk as an ingredient, I am anticipating the results. I should use this ASAP.

I really can't with Big Byung... Those boys killed me. Ahaha. N was like "Whatever bitches, I'm still fabulous". Jackson is just enjoying all of it too much, crazy kid. Glad Sungjae and Hyuk finally let lose and got something that isn't exactly their element. Super proud of my boys. Must say though, Defconn and Hyungdon did an awesome job on the song. Although I would prefer Jackson's foreign languages rap...

Today's Make Up: Gloomy Tuesday

Greetings to all on this lovely, but gloomy Tuesday! It's that type of day that makes you lazy and want to do nothing but lounge around and do nothing... Unfortunately I am not able to sit around and do nothing. Accompanying my dear Grandmother to her doctor appointments for the day.

On days like this, I make sure to bring things along to keep my occupied or I will be bored outta my mind. Got my book, iPod, iPad and a journal so I can jot down my random thoughts.

Hi guys!

Today, I want to share with you the trio I have been using non-stop for the past two weeks. I honestly don't know why that is, when I have so many other options, but this trio has been what I've been gravitating towards. Maybe if I explain in details to ya'll, I'll understand why myself. Haha. :P

Even though I've worn this a lot, it was only featured once on a post. I wore this on Sunday, for my Family Brunch.

Now, if you're a regular on my Blog, you'll know how much I adore Wet N Wild eyeshadows. I own more than I should, between the regular products and limited edition collections. I really cannot help it, Wet N Wild shadows are happiness for sale. Starting from $0.99 and never exceeds $5.99, these shadows are crazily pigmented, creamy, blendable, long-wearing, large shade range and very, very affordable. But for today, I would like for you all to meet a gorgeous trio called Sweet As Candy.

Sweet As Candy has all shimmery shadows, it's a subtle shimmer though, nothing over the top that you cannot wear to work. It's a very beautiful shimmer with a satin finish and when worn on the eyes, it catches the light and your eyes just glows. As like all Wet N Wild shadows, expect for the singles, all shadows are labeled with "browbone", "crease" and "eyelid". "Browbone" is a cream shade, so light it's almost white, but not quite. "Crease" is a milk-chocolate brown shadow, while "eyelid", my favorite out of the three, a muted pink-peach shadow. These three shadows compliments each other very well.

I use "browbone" on my browbones, in my inner corner and sometimes, even all over my lids as a base so the other two shades can show up more vibrant, makes it easier to glide on and easier to blend. Of course, without it as a base is also fine, it's just an extra, unnecessary step I sometimes take. I will also take this shade down to my lower lash line, extend it 1/3 from my inner corner. Of course you'll have to pack on a bit more then what you use on the browbone.

Although "crease" is a brown, it is a warm brown. Like ya know, with warm undertones. I use this on my crease, outer V and lower lash line, 2/3 of it anyway. How I use this shade is I would use a pencil brush and go back and forth, back and forth on my crease, starting from the outer corner and bringing it in. Then I will go in with a clean fluffy brush and blend the heck out of it. I'd use another fluffy brush with "eyelid" on it and blend that on top of my crease so that "crease" and "eyelid" could infuse at one point to create a warmer, softer look. After that, go back to the clean fluffy brush and buff it out. Keep buffing and blending to your liking.

I pack "eyelid" all over my lids. On days when I want to go for a more define look, I'll pack on a lot; for a softer look, I'll lightly dust it on. Worn either way, this shade is still gorgeous. Like mentioned above, I also use this to blend with "crease" for a warmer, softer look. I also wear this on my lower lash line, sometimes the entire lash line, sometimes 1/3 of it, other times 2/3 of the way. I have also worn just this shadow alone, lightly on the lids and inner corner and packing it on in the outer corner. It looks just as pretty.

These shadows are oh so very buttery. When I swatched it and rubbed it between my fingers, it felt so creamy, it just glides.

Well...after seeing what was said, typed out in words, I get why I love this trio so much. Honestly, this trio is a MUST HAVE; I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. I believe this was either $1.99 or $2.99 and could be found at Walgreens, Walmart and K-Mart.
