Today's Make Up: "Éclair" Are As "Sweet As Candy"

Annnnd the weekend is officially underway; how are you all doing today?? Besides freezing my butt off right now, I am doing quite well. Yes, it is getting quite chilly around here, which I cannot complain nor embrace. Not yet at least, once I get used to this cold I'll start enjoying the beauty of it...As is every year. Haha. Don't forget to bundle up guys! Don't let yourself catch a nasty cold now.

Weekend for me means another family gathering. I'm Asian, we like to do everything as a whole family. We eat together, we have a good time together and just make time for one another to bond. With gatherings, there must be food. Food is vital for a gathering. Any Asians can testify that. LOL.

Alright, well let's get to it, makeup wise. :P I went for a glowing bare face, sweet doll eyes paired with sweet pink lips. It doesn't get anymore innocent looking than that. Haha.

As I mentioned above, I wanted the glowing yet bare faced type look today. Yesterday's look, I went for a bare face also, but I kept that more matte, whereas today, I used a light infusing primer, mixed in with my BB Cream for a subtle glowing effect. But before I did that, I applied Baby Skin to the areas where the pores are most problematic. I then sparingly used the All Covered Up concealer for the acne scars and uneven skin tones and such. Alright, after the BB Cream application, I set everything with a light weight powder. Then I sculpt and contour my face as I normally would. The blush I used today is very luminous so a highlight might not be necessary. It gives my cheeks the necessary hint of color while giving me a glow all at once.

Sweet As Candy is seriously sweet as candy. Whenever I want to go for a sweet, natural pink eye, this is my go to trio. I actually did a whole post raving about this trio, check it out if you'd like. :)

But yes, I used this trio on my eyes then used a dark brown liquid liner to thinly line my eyes, just enough to open up them but nothing too extreme. We are keeping things sweet and doll-like today. I didn't just use the eyeshadows on my eyelid, I took it to my lower lash line as well, incorporating all three shades as I did on my eyelid. Not in the same manner of course. Then I heated up my eye lash curler with a hair dryer before curling my lashes. Be VERY careful if you do the same because you can easily burn yourself. Lastly I coat my lashes in mascara.

**Details** If you're interested to know how I used this trio, I first applied browbone to my browbone and inner corner. I pulled the shadow to my top and lower lash line so it creates a 'C' shape, Then I used a flat eyeshadow brush to sweep eyelid all over my lids, keeping it only on the lids. I covered my entire lid, from inner corner to outer corner, not passing my crease. I then took a detailed brush and applied crease on my crease and outer V. I blended as I went, only applying more shadow if necessary because remember, I am going for an innocent look, not a smoky eye. The brown to the crease will help my eyes look bigger and more doll like, therefore more innocent. Using the same detailed brush with crease, I took that to the outer corner of my lower lash line, taking it about 1/3 way in. Back to the flat brush, I took eyelid to fill in the other 2/3 of my lower lash line all the way to my inner corner. I then flipped the brush around and took browbone and lightly applied that on top of eyelid by my inner corner. When everything is applied to my liking, I started to blend away, blend those harsh edges and transitions away!

As for my lips, I first applied Cheery Juice to stain my lips then topped it off with Éclair. Easy as 1, 2, 3. :P

Busy Saturday for me on a gorgeous day like this. My aunt flew in from Nebraska again and we're having a get together again. We are hosting today so there is A LOT to do before dinner time. Before we can even get to preparing, I need to make a couple of pit stops to pick up a few things.

Pink products for today are my Instain Blush and Fresh Cherry Tint. Keeping it pink for the cause. Pink for the cure, #Pinktober

I am testing out a sample of CC Cream today. I received the sample when I ordered my Peri Pera Peri's Tint Water. I didn't know how well the CC Cream would fare so I used a medium coverage powder that works well with my oily skin to set. I did the rest of my makeup as I would usually.

Since this is a family gathering, I kept my eye makeup clean and simple. I was careful to not let the eyeshadows become muddy and too dark. The usual winged liner is traded in for a more modest lined eyes, just enough to define my eyes.

I applied Stainiac on top of Fresh Cherry Tint to create a fresh, sweet gradient effect. The Fresh Cherry Tint can be drying to the lips, so I applied a very moisturizing lip balm underneath.

WISHING THE NEW BYUNTAE/BAEKYEON COUPLE A HAPPY, BRIGHT FUTURE!!

Never think anything is impossible! Regardless to what other fans might say, I, 100% support Taeyeon and Baekhyun. Look at them, they're soo happy! Idols bring us joy, happiness, entertainment, the least we could wish for them is their own happiness. I don't understand how some "fans" can say they feel "betrayed" and go harass Taeyeon or Baekhyun as if they're an ex who just got dumped. No... Idols and fans are in two different worlds. We idolize them but they don't even know we exist, we're just another screaming fan to them. Idols already sacrificed so much to be where they are today, so if there's anything we can do (or NOT do) to ease their pain, why not?
We don't want them to one by one leave the entertainment industry because they're sick of it... JUST LET THEM BE!

On another note, GO TAEYEON!!!! Noona-Dongsaeng Relationship FTW!!!!!!! Age is but a number...

GOT7 - "A" & "Good Tonight"

Hi guys!

Today, I want to share with you the trio I have been using non-stop for the past two weeks. I honestly don't know why that is, when I have so many other options, but this trio has been what I've been gravitating towards. Maybe if I explain in details to ya'll, I'll understand why myself. Haha. :P

Even though I've worn this a lot, it was only featured once on a post. I wore this on Sunday, for my Family Brunch.

Now, if you're a regular on my Blog, you'll know how much I adore Wet N Wild eyeshadows. I own more than I should, between the regular products and limited edition collections. I really cannot help it, Wet N Wild shadows are happiness for sale. Starting from $0.99 and never exceeds $5.99, these shadows are crazily pigmented, creamy, blendable, long-wearing, large shade range and very, very affordable. But for today, I would like for you all to meet a gorgeous trio called Sweet As Candy.

Sweet As Candy has all shimmery shadows, it's a subtle shimmer though, nothing over the top that you cannot wear to work. It's a very beautiful shimmer with a satin finish and when worn on the eyes, it catches the light and your eyes just glows. As like all Wet N Wild shadows, expect for the singles, all shadows are labeled with "browbone", "crease" and "eyelid". "Browbone" is a cream shade, so light it's almost white, but not quite. "Crease" is a milk-chocolate brown shadow, while "eyelid", my favorite out of the three, a muted pink-peach shadow. These three shadows compliments each other very well.

I use "browbone" on my browbones, in my inner corner and sometimes, even all over my lids as a base so the other two shades can show up more vibrant, makes it easier to glide on and easier to blend. Of course, without it as a base is also fine, it's just an extra, unnecessary step I sometimes take. I will also take this shade down to my lower lash line, extend it 1/3 from my inner corner. Of course you'll have to pack on a bit more then what you use on the browbone.

Although "crease" is a brown, it is a warm brown. Like ya know, with warm undertones. I use this on my crease, outer V and lower lash line, 2/3 of it anyway. How I use this shade is I would use a pencil brush and go back and forth, back and forth on my crease, starting from the outer corner and bringing it in. Then I will go in with a clean fluffy brush and blend the heck out of it. I'd use another fluffy brush with "eyelid" on it and blend that on top of my crease so that "crease" and "eyelid" could infuse at one point to create a warmer, softer look. After that, go back to the clean fluffy brush and buff it out. Keep buffing and blending to your liking.

I pack "eyelid" all over my lids. On days when I want to go for a more define look, I'll pack on a lot; for a softer look, I'll lightly dust it on. Worn either way, this shade is still gorgeous. Like mentioned above, I also use this to blend with "crease" for a warmer, softer look. I also wear this on my lower lash line, sometimes the entire lash line, sometimes 1/3 of it, other times 2/3 of the way. I have also worn just this shadow alone, lightly on the lids and inner corner and packing it on in the outer corner. It looks just as pretty.

These shadows are oh so very buttery. When I swatched it and rubbed it between my fingers, it felt so creamy, it just glides.

Well...after seeing what was said, typed out in words, I get why I love this trio so much. Honestly, this trio is a MUST HAVE; I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. I believe this was either $1.99 or $2.99 and could be found at Walgreens, Walmart and K-Mart.
