Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow - Casual

Happppy Wednesday everyone! We are one day closer to the much awaited for weekend! Just need to climb and get over this massive hump of a day! :P
Following yesterday's post about Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow Nude collection, I figured I'll share with you my second palette from the line, which is the Casual collection.
Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow - Casual
This palette is pretty much identical to the Nude, by identical I mean the packaging, the formula, the shimmeriness of the shadows. Like Nude, the packaging of Casual is also very adorable. The palette is of a denim fabric, finished off with a golden zipper; really captures the "casualness". Haha. As for the texture, still not as creamy as other brands' shadows, but it isn't dry or flaky; it just doesn't feel butter soft between my fingers. The shadows are very pigmented and could be worn wet or dry, dry for a softer look and wet for a more intense look.
Similar to Nude, Casual also has nine shimmery eyeshadows, ranging from light to dark; the lightest being a light beige and the darkest being either the navy blue or dark brown. Like Nude, Casual always has three suggested sets for three looks -  natural, smoky blue, and golden glow. This is just my opinion, how I conceive this palette.

LOL, look at Lay
WISHING THE NEW BYUNTAE/BAEKYEON COUPLE A HAPPY, BRIGHT FUTURE!!

Never think anything is impossible! Regardless to what other fans might say, I, 100% support Taeyeon and Baekhyun. Look at them, they're soo happy! Idols bring us joy, happiness, entertainment, the least we could wish for them is their own happiness. I don't understand how some "fans" can say they feel "betrayed" and go harass Taeyeon or Baekhyun as if they're an ex who just got dumped. No... Idols and fans are in two different worlds. We idolize them but they don't even know we exist, we're just another screaming fan to them. Idols already sacrificed so much to be where they are today, so if there's anything we can do (or NOT do) to ease their pain, why not?
We don't want them to one by one leave the entertainment industry because they're sick of it... JUST LET THEM BE!

On another note, GO TAEYEON!!!! Noona-Dongsaeng Relationship FTW!!!!!!! Age is but a number...
And jail is but a room... yeah, yeah, yeah. This is different, three years is nothing!

Today's Make Up: Casual Friday

Happy Friday all! Hope ya'll had a good one. :P

Quick post about my casual makeup today. Have been on the run all day but finally home for a bit then gotta go pick up my cousins. They'll be spending the weekend here... to play Axis & Allies. Yeah..

Today's Make Up: Casual Friday

FACES
Neutrogena Healthy Skin 3-in-1 Concealer for Eyes in Buff
IPKN NY Moist & Firm BB in Light
ELF Studio Translucent Matifying Powder in Translucent
ELF Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzer in Antigua
Hard Candy Baked Bronzer in Tiki

EYES
ELF Eyelid Primer
ELF Baked Eyeshadow in Enchanted
NYC High Definition Eyeliner in Extra Black
Rimmel Scandal Eyes in Nude
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Strawberry Milk
Maybelline Illegal Length Fiber Extensions Mascara (waterproof) in Very Black

LIPS
Etude House Rosy Tint Lips in # 5 Baby Peony
NYX Butter Gloss in Merengue

Fortunately, I have been able to get great sleep so my dark circles are very minimal. I used a light/medium coverage concealer especially for the eyes; I applied it under my eyes, on my orbital bone and what was left on my fingers, I applied directly on blemishes like acne scar. With my favorite Expert Face Brush, I buffed the Moist & Firm BB all over my face and set with a Translucent Powder to mattify. I used the bronzer from the Antigua compact to contour what I normally do and used the blush on the apple of my cheeks. I used Tiki to further bring dimension to my face by highlighting the high points like my forehead, cheekbone and bridge of nose.

I primed my eyes with my Eyelid Primer before packing Enchanted onto my lids with a flat eyeshadow brush. Again with the laziness today, so I used only one shadow. I applied Enchanted from the inner corner all the way to the outer corner, pulling it above my crease a little. I used a clean fluffy brush to clean up the edges a bit. I then went in with a liquid eyeliner to thinly lined my upper lash line, slightly winging it out at the end. I used Nude to rim my lower water line and Strawberry Milk to line my entire lower lash line. Last but not least, I gave my lashes a good curling before applying a generous coat of mascara to my top and bottom lashes.

The last thing on my to-do list is maintaining my lips midday so to get pretty lips without the effort, I first scrubbed and applied lip balm. I used a light pink lip tint, concentrating the product at the inner part of my lips. I gave my lips a few quick pop, pop before applying Merengue as a gloss.

Since I was in and out of the sun nearly all day, I wanted to lock in the hydration so I set everything with a quick mist of Avene.

Thank you for visiting and thanks a bunches for reading. Please come back soon! :)

Today's Make Up: Casual Tuesday

Happy Tuesday everyone! How did your day go? It's been  a pretty chill Tuesday for me, just lounged around waiting for the servicemen. But yeah, I threw on some makeup this morning that didn't even take more than 15 minutes of my time.

Today's Make Up: Casual Tuesday

FACE
Sonia Kashuk Concealer Palette in Hidden Agenda
Skin79 Lovely Girl BB Cream
Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder in Fair
NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny
ELF Studio Blush in Pink Passion
Hard Candy Baked Bronzer in Tiki

EYES
ELF Eyelid Primer
ELF Baked Eyeshadow in Toasted
Wet N Wild Mega Liner Liquid Eyeliner in Black
ELF Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick in Turkish Coffee
Holika Holika Jewel-Light Under Eye Maker in Pink
Maybelline The Mega Plush Volumizing Express Mascara in Very Black (waterproof)

LIPS
Wet N Wild Mega Slicks Balm Stain Moisturizing Lip Color in A Stiff Pink
Wet N Wild Mega Last Lipstick in Think Pink

After moisturizing my face and allow it to dry, I start by using my Sonia Kashuk Concealer Palette's various shades to conceal the various blemishes on my face like dark circles, redness and acne scars. With a damp beauty blender, I picked up the BB Cream from the back of my hand and dabbed it onto my face, slowly building it up. After the BB Cream is evenly applied, I set that with a light pressed powder. Then I just contoured using my favorite bronzer and brighten up my face by using my favorite highlight. As for the blush, I grabbed one of my favorite drug store blush in a bright pink and applied that to the apple of my cheeks with the beauty blender as well. Applying blush with a damp sponge or beauty blender has recently become a favorite technique of application; it just looks so natural because the blush seems to be one with the skin rather than just sitting on top of it.

After priming my eyes, I used a flat eyeshadow brush to pack Toasted onto my lids, from inner corner all the way to the outer corner and a little above the crease. I don't think I've ever mentioned this but Toasted does not need much in order to show up. I don't want to do much with my eyes today so I didn't pack as much eyeshadow on; just enough for some color, just enough for it to catch the light. I thinly lined my upper lash line with my favorite liquid liner and extended it passed my lash line downward. I applied Turkish Coffee to 1/3 of my lower lash line, starting from the outer corner working my way in. From the inner corner working my way out, I used Holika Holika Jewel-Light Under Eye Maker to bring bits of lights to my eyes. With a smudger brush, I swept it across Turkish Coffee to soften it up. I gave my lashes a good curling before coating them in mascara.

Prior to doing anything with my lips, I took a minute to give my lips a good scrubbing to rid the dead skin and get the blood circulating and always remember to apply a moisturizing lip balm afterward. I applied A Stiff Pink to the inner parts of my top and bottom lips and pop my lips; lastly I just took Think Pink and applied that to my lips.

And that's it guys. Easy make up today. Hope ya'll enjoyed this and please come back soon! Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. :)

P.S. I planned on beginning the filming process this week but it looks like that is not possible. I'm still getting used to the editing too. Any pointers or tips for editing guys?

Today's Make Up: Lunch Date

Ello, ello, hello everyone! I had a quick lunch date with my girl friends earlier today; it was not preplanned but they didn't tell me last minute like last time so I had about 40 minutes to get ready.

Today's make up is once again nothing glamorous, just trying to look put together and presentable.

Today's Make Up: Lunch Date

FACE
Neutrogena Healthy Skin 3-in-1 Concealer for Eyes in Buff 09
Revlon Nearly Naked in 120 Vanilla
Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder in Fair
Physicians Formula Bronze Gem Healthy Glow Bronzer
City Color Baked Blush in Guava
Wet N Wild Color Icon Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana

EYES
ELF Eyelid Primer
Wet N Wild Color Icon Trio in I Dream of Greenie (cleaver name! ahaha)
Wet N Wild Mega Liner Liquid Eyeliner in Black
Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil in Almost Famous
Maybelline The Colossal Volume Express Mascara in Glam Black

LIPS
Maybelline Baby Lips Electro in Strike a Rose

My skin has been behaving very well lately, just the redness and other minor blemishes to conceal. I chose a very light coverage foundation today so I will need some extra help under my eyes. This Nearly Naked foundation is able to minimize the redness and somewhat even out my skin tone, but it is not able to completely conceal and cover. But I am fine with that, this seemingly looks more natural to me. I set my foundation and concealer as always. I went for a more subtle contour since my foundation isn't full coverage. Do you also do that? Or is that just me again..? When I wear a full coverage foundation, I'm comfortable with going all out on contours, blushes and highlights but when I'm wearing something light like a light coverage foundation, American BB Cream or tinted moisturizer, I tend to tone done my contour, blush and highlight. To me, if my face has light coverage but has bold contours and blush, I think it looks weird... no? So anyways, the bronzer I am using is from Physicians Formula, and it's that multi-tone type concept. I swirl my brush in the bronzer area then dab it into the pearly area. The pearly shimmer isn't anything over the top, it will just give my skin a slight glow. To keep the glowing theme going, I wore a baked blush that had a subtle glow to it. I applied this on the apple of my cheeks and blended it back. Since my bronzer and blush are already glowy, I chose a matte highlight to balance out the glowiness.

I prepped my eyes by priming it, I used ELF today. I was in a bright mood today, so I chose a green trio from Wet N Wild called I Dream of Greenie (aha, looove it!). I applied "browbone" onto my browbone and inner corner. I packed "eyelid" all over my lids, from innermost to outermost, keeping it clean by not flicking it out. Then I went in with "crease" to the outermost and outer V and pulling it up to my crease.  At this point, I went back and forth between "crease" and "eyelid" to add more until I am finally satisfied. Then I took a clean fluffy brush and blended and buffed everything out. Lastly, I took a detailed brush and took "eyelid" to my lower lash line. Then I used my liquid liner to line my upper lash line and winged that out. I used a champagne-y nude eyeliner on my lower waterline to open up my eyes a little bit, all of the bright colors can cause it to look smaller. Then curl and give them lashes a generous coat of mascara.

Since my eyes are a vibrant color, I want to balance it out with bright lips also. Nothing too dramatic, something bright yet sheer so there's an equal balance. I'm glad I have these Baby Lips Electro on hand, because they provide the right amount of neon to tie everything together. The shade I chose is Strike a Rose, it's a pinkish coral shade that I think goes very well with my green eyes.

Today's Make Up: Lunch Date - City Color, Maybelline, WNW

We had a fun lunch date. I was able to catch up with my girls that are now very busy being moms and wives. It was nice. Though all of them were talking about their children and husbands...which makes me feel very left out. Of course they didn't do it on purpose but it comes naturally. They're proud moms, I don't blame them. I just hope it'll be my turn soon. Haha. :P

Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading all! :)

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow - Casual

Before I start my blog post today, I would like to take a moment to mention about the Ferry accident that happened in South Korea yesterday. There are still many, many passengers still unaccounted for, but there are at least some good news, there are survivors. In any tragedy, any survivors are good news. Passengers trapped in the ferry as it was slowly sinking, knowing their fate, sent out texts to their loved ones telling them they love them and don't think they'll make it. Meanwhile their loved ones still doesn't know what was happening. I cannot imagine how heartbreaking that is. I'm tearing up as I type this... it's so devastating.. Hoping for a miracle.

Stay strong Korea! Please hang in there, don't let go. #PrayforSouthKorea #StayStrongKorea

**Special Announcement** BH Cosmetics and Sephora by OPI is on HauteLook as of right now. If you were interested in the products from my BH Cosmetics Haul, then definitely check it out.

Happppy Thursday everyone! We are one day closer to the much awaited for weekend! But for some, today is their last day and they can rightfully start their weekend. :P

Following my Monday post about Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow Nude collection, I figured I'll share with you my second palette from the line, which is the Casual collection.

The first three shadows form set one, which I call Natural. The first and also the lightest shade of the palette is a nice beige shadow, the second being a pretty bronzy-brown shade and a beautiful burgundy shade as the third of the set. This is my favorite set of the three, the most wearable.

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow - Casual Natural

The middle three shades form set two, Smoky Blue. All three shades are blue, various shades of blue. Haha, three shades of blue to be exact. ;) I use this set the least because I don't usually wear blue eyeshadows. It makes my face look sickly. It takes careful planning. But when I am in the mood for blue, this is one of my go to palettes.

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow - Casual Smoky Blue

Lastly, the last three shades form set three, I call it Golden Glow. The first shadow of the set is a gorgeous gold, the second, a vibrant copper shade and the last, a nice rich brown. My second favorite set, I use this set the most in the summer time when I want to go for that sun kissed, glowing everywhere look.

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow - Casual Golden Glow

Of course within a palette, you can mix and match, use any shadows in any combination as you please. I did realize however, that there is one difference between Nude and Casual.  With the Nude palette, you can wear the shadows within the suggested sets to create a complete look of highlight, all over the lid and crease shade. However, you cannot do that with this palette. The best you can do is use the lightest shade within the sets for the inner corner but cannot be used as a brow highlight. Out of the nine shades, only the first shade is light enough to be a brow highlight.

Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading everyone! :)

Today's Make Up: Date Night (with the girls)

Happy Friday all! Whether you have plans to snuggle in or party out, I hope you'll all enjoy your night. As for me, I have a date night with my single ladies. Cause our taken girls are all busy snuggling in...pffft. I don't blame 'em though. Haha.
It's going to be a pretty casual night out, dinner at Apple Bee's and probably a movie so nothing fancy, fancy. However, we have a set rule that whenever we meet, we have to dress and make up as if we're going on a real date... in case we meet the fateful person while being out. Haha, gotta love them.

Today's Make Up: Casual Friday

It's Friday, Friday. Gonna get down on Friday?... Happy Friday all!
Today's Make Up: Casual Friday
FACE:
IPKN NY Moist & Firm BB in Light
Revlon Nearly Naked Powder in Fair
Physicians Formula Mineral Correcting Bronzer
ELF Studio Radiance Enhancer in Spotlight
Covergirl Cheekers in Plumberry Glow
EYES:
Tini Beauty Eyetini Cordial Cream Shadow + Base in Ambrosia
ELF Studio Eyeliner & Shadow Stick in Purple/Plum (not pictured)
L'Oreal 24H Infallible Lacquer Liner in Blackest Black
Covergirl Lash Blast Fushion Mascara (not pictured)
LIPS:
Dermstore Lip Quench
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink In The Afternoon
Today's make up is kept quite simple, the eyes being the center of attention. I kept my face as natural as I could by doubling the BB cream as a concealer and foundation. I used a matte, soft berry blush so it doesn't over power my radiant glow. Pink In The Afternoon is that your lip but better type color and for that reason that I chose it; it gives off the right amount of pink yet looks very natural still. As for the eyes, I used only that Eyetini cream shadow from Tini Beauty. With one swipe on my lids, I used my fingers to blend it towards my crease, I then swiped more product on my crease to further intensify the look to give my eyes more definition. I didn't use a liquid liner today because it's a bit too harsh while a gel liner is softer which I felt matched better with my minimal made up eyes. And voila, simple as that.
It doesn't affect me here in Arizona, but I do want to remind you guys that Daylight Saving Time starts this Sunday, March 9th.
I hope you will enjoy our weekend and have a great Friday night. Thank you for reading. :)

Today's Make Up: Errand-Running Casual Friday

Yay! Happy Friday everyone! I was a busy bee today, running all over with errands. The weather was gorgeous today. Actually, it was gorgeous all week here in Arizona, but I saw on the news that most of the states aren't as lucky. I hope you are all doing well! Keep warm guys and please be careful.
For today's make up, I wanted to go for the "natural-no-make-up" make up. It's been a while since I pulled out my Skin79 BB Cream. The thing with Skin79 is that it is a Korean brand, marketed only in Korea so it only has one shade. It has a dewy finish, to look more natural. Asian BB Creams aren't as thick as the ones we have in the U.S., it is more liquidy but it has a medium coverage. On days when I sleet well, I don't even need concealers for my dark circles. I really like this BB Cream, but I turn into a grease ball if I wear it during the summer. So this Skin79 BB Cream is strictly a Winter type product for me. What better powder to set my BB Cream in place than a Nearly Naked powder. With a light dust, the powder doesn't take away the dewy finish the BB Cream gave.
When I think of natural, no make up type of make up, I automatically think of K-Pop idols. If you know what I'm talking about, yay! Let's be friends. If not, they're known for their light, natural make up with strong, winged liner and gradient popsicle lips. The contours are done very lightly, so when I attempted this look, I used my ELF bronzer instead of my NYC. It gives a more softer look with subtle glow.
Since I subtly contoured, I cannot skip on the highlight. Highlight where the sun naturally hits your face, like your forehead, cheekbones, chin and bridge of your nose. Never, never, ever skip the highlight. It prevents your face from looking flat and makes your face more lively. You know what else makes you look lively? Blush. In my case, I used a pink blush that also has a glow to it. You can also opt for a matte blush, but I wanted everything to glow. But do be careful, you do not want to over-glow, it'll make you look oily instead.
Since I was going for natural, I didn't want to use any eye shadow. Cue the Maybelline Color Tattoos. I used a beautiful metallic pink to brighten up my eyes but still have a bit of color to it. You can use an eye shadow primer like I usually do, but I have never have any problem with the Color Tattoos creasing on me. Because I will not be wearing false eyelashes, I used my favorite gel liner to tightline my upper waterline. You'll be surprised how much thicker your lashes will look by doing this. This along with the Almay Get Up & Grow mascara, it will look like you're wearing demi lashes. You can also use the gel liner on your lash line also for a softer look, but I like my wing bold so I used my liquid liner to achieve that. Lastly, I wanted to wake up my eyes and enhance my "eye smile" by applying a beige liner under my lower lash line.
I want to be casual and low maintenance while moving about, I didn't want to wear any lipstick or glosses. I needed my lips to stay hydrated all day without having to reapplying. Thank goodness NYX came out with this wonderful Butter Lip Balm. I chose the lightest pink which pulled my look together beautifully.
I also shared what scent I wore today also, which happens to be a Bath & Body Works  fragrance spray.  Pink Sugarplum is really sweet and kept me happy for the duration of the day.
