Hi guys! Are you ready to start the weekend? I am excited!! The postponed BBQ from last week is on again this week. So far, no weather forecast has mentioned rain or wind, they did say that the high temp will be at 104 degrees! If that doesn't hint swimming, I don't know what does. Ahhhh, so exciting.
But today, I had errands to run, in 95 degree heat...Blegh. Today's Make Up is inspired by Song Ji Hyo, the new face of Benefit in Korea as of 2013. She is what we call a natural beauty, always wearing her Mong expression instead, but when she gets dolled up, she is impossibly beautiful. Today's Make Up is very natural, radiantly glowing and fresh, it is Spring.

You've probably noticed by now, but the Koreans' natural beauty face involves flawless, radiant, glowing from within kinda skin. My skin is nowhere near flawless so in order to achieve that, I must moisturize, prime and conceal, conceal, conceal! In order to get that glowing from within look, I took one pump of L'Oreal Magic Lumi and mixed that with my BB Cream on the back of my hand. With a beauty blender, I dabbed that all over my face; using a beauty blender gives a more natural effect, as if it is one with our skin. I set everything I've done by far with a lightweight pressed powder. From what I can see, she has some bronzer on, but it's more on the line of adding color to her face and not contouring. This is where I am adjusting the look a bit to fit me, so I'll be using a very light bronzer to contour a tad, nothing too extreme. I just like my face more sculpted. Her cheeks reminds me of dolls, glowing pink cheeks which I recreated using Hard Candy Baked Blush in Living Doll. I gave a big smile and applied the blush onto the apple of my cheeks, not blending it back like I would normally. I used a very glowing highlight to get a radiance. For those with oily skin, like myself, be extremely careful because that might either come across as being oily or when we do excrete oil, it might clash and our face will turn into a grease pan.
I prepped my eyes by priming it, then I start off with my NYX palette, using a matte beige shade, I applied that in my inner corner and browbone. Using my Wet N Wild Floral Values palette, I took "Eyelid" which is a vibrant pink shade, I put that all over my lids, don't wing it out. I keep packing the shadow until I am happy with the intensity, which isn't much because you can barely see her eyeshadows. The I took "Brownbone" - super light lilac shade, and applied that on top of the pink. Then I simply blended the two shadows together. With a clean fluffy brush, I went back to my NYX palette and used the nice caramel brown shade onto my crease. This shade defined my crease without looking too harsh. So I kept buffing and blending everything well. Her liner is kept very minimal, so I used my gel liner to thinly line my upper lash line and tight line. She has like a little flick at the end, but it is not winged out. So keep lining the upper lash line thinly, whatever is left on the brush, give it a little flick at the end. I wanted to enhance my eye smile so I took my Holika Holika Jewel-Light eye pencil to my bottom lash line. This is double ended, one end is a brown eye pencil while the other is a shimmery pink shadow like stick. Not too far from my lower lash line, I used the brown end to draw a thin line, and filled the void between that and my lash line with the pink pearly shadow. Then I curled and mascaraed like always.
I used NYX Butter Lip Balm in Parfait to keep my lips moisturize and give it a little base color. Then I took the Fresh Cherry Tint and dotted three dots on my inner lip, top and bottom. Using my finger, I blended the dots out, concentrating on the inner lips and only dragging it out with what's left on my fingers. Then I took my Concealer Balm applied that on and around my outer lips. Using a clean finger, blend out the concealer, it should conceal most not all of the lip color underneath. Back to the Lip Tint, I dotted another three dots on my inner lip again and with a finger blended it out as I need before. You can either top it off with a gloss or leave it as it is.
And there we have guys. Enjoy the rest of your Friday and have an awesome weekend! I will see you back here tomorrow for another waterproof make up post. Please do check it out. Thank you for visiting and thanks for reading. :)
